Moses sent 12 spies to explore Canaan for 40 days. They brought back rich fruit like a huge cluster of grapes, showing the land was truly good. 10 spies saw giants while Joshua and Caleb tore their clothes and urged the people not to rebel or fear. They stated that the land was very good and that God would lead them in to take it. Because the community believed the bad report, God made that adult generation wander for 40 years, sparing only Joshua and Caleb to enter the land.
