I just read an article about books being shredded. Great amounts of books. Its concerning. I’ve read since I was four. I grew up in a small town, and the librarian told me when I was grown, that I was the single reason the inventory kept the turnover it did. She couldn’t keep me in books. For the past few years, I’ve noticed the ‘dumbing down’ of books. I don’t buy as many, for that reason. That’s another reason I started writing. My children are readers too. My son went everywhere with four books and a flashlight. (In case it get’s dark, mom). They can read some very complex stories. They have since they were small. I wanted to share the article.
