Tuesday, 4th August, 2026 TITLE: "CREATED FOR GOD'S PURPOSE" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "You are not an accident; you are God's workmanship, created for His purpose." DAY'S REFLECTION Every human life has divine value because every person is created with God's purpose in mind. In Jeremiah 1:5, God assured Jeremiah that even before he was formed in his mother's womb, He knew, sanctified, and ordained him. This reveals God's sovereign knowledge and intentional plan for every life. Jeremiah's calling was unique, but the truth that God forms people with purpose encourages every believer. The word "knew" speaks of God's intimate knowledge and loving relationship. Nothing about your life surprises Him. "Sanctified" means set apart for God's special purpose, while "ordained" means appointed by God for an assignment. Although our specific callings differ, every believer is called to glorify Christ and faithfully serve His Kingdom. Paul reinforces this truth in Ephesians 2:10 by declaring that we are God's workmanship. Like a skilled craftsman creating a masterpiece, God is continually shaping our character and preparing us for the good works He has already planned. We do not earn salvation through good works; rather, because we have been saved by grace, we are equipped to live lives that reflect God's goodness. Discovering God's purpose begins with knowing Christ. As we walk closely with Him through His Word, prayer, and obedience, He reveals the opportunities He has prepared for us to serve others and glorify His name. A purposeful life is not defined by fame or position but by faithful obedience to God's will. Today, reject every lie that says your life has no meaning. You were lovingly designed by God, redeemed by Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil His divine purpose. Walk confidently, knowing that the One who created you is also guiding you into the good works He prepared long ago. God created every life with intention and purpose. 2. Every believer has been set apart to serve God's Kingdom through good works. 3. Our identity is found in Christ, not in the opinions of others. 4. God continues to shape and equip His people to fulfil His divine calling. EVERYDAY ACTION Seek God daily, use your gifts to serve others, and faithfully carry out every opportunity He gives you to glorify Christ. PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me to walk faithfully in the good works You have prepared for me and to glorify You in all I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
