Excerpt from book 4: "God's Men"
“Tucker… why are you here?”
Tucker stood. “Jake, I’ve been in war; and I knew God before I left here, but nothing like how I met him on that battleground. I’ve been called to a different kind of war here, but I want to show up the way you taught me.
I need his strength, his help, and his insight. I want to not miss one word of his direction. I want to be counted faithful.”
He’d thought a lot about what Jake had said the other night, about Jesus nodding at him on ‘that day’ and he hadn’t been able to get away from it.
He shared that, then added, “Jake, I want what you want. I want that nod. I want that acknowledgement that He knew I could do it, and that I did. And for all eternity, I want to know that about myself, too.”
Jake looked at him long and hard, and his eyes grew wet as God gave him a word of knowledge. In that moment God also gave him a vision of Tucker, and who He’d called him to be. He had to take a moment and collect himself.

Jake had already been animated, but now he started pacing across the front of the room, as he was apt to do; his anointing taking over, and God was speaking through His man.
“It doesn’t matter which government. It doesn’t matter which organization. It doesn’t matter which family, school, church…” he gestured around the room at them all “… or group; gathered anywhere, for any reason, whatsoever… we have to decide. WHY ARE YOU HERE?
God’s building an army. Tucker, are you in?” He nodded.
“I said, God’s building an army. Conrad, are you in?”
He nodded, too.
He named every single one of them, even the ones he’d just met tonight. “ARE YOU IN?!”

ALL MEN AND WOMEN WHO STUDY THE WORD, KNOW WE'RE FACING THE END OF IT ALL... HE'S BUILDING AN ARMY TO STAND AGAINST THE DARKNESS. TO STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, IN A CONTINUALLY MORALLY BANKRUPT SOCIETY.
JUST LIKE SCRIPTURE SAYS, ALL NATIONS AND MOST PEOPLE ARE TURNING AWAY FROM ISRAEL.
THAT'S A SIGN. A BIG ONE. A VERY LATE TIMES SIGN. IT'S HEATING UP.
WE ARE HIS HANDS AND FEET
WHY ARE YOU HERE?
ARE YOU IN?

Like Jake calls them to be, we must be an integrated body, to hold the darkness at bay, until HE takes us home.
