THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY AUGUST 7, 2026 GOD'S PRESENCE THROUGH RIGHTEOUS LIVING A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God.... He held fast to the LORD..... And the LORD was with him." 2 Kings 18:5-7 NIV Here in the context of our foundational Scripture, Hezekiah clearly demonstrated his unfaltering trust in God. His faithfulness and complete reliance on the LORD God conveys a sense that God's abiding presence is closely tied to a life of trust, obedience and wholehearted commitment. Hezekiah trustfully followed the LORD God in everything, and was very careful to obey all of God’s commands to Moses, (vv. 3-6). King Hezekiah trusted God completely and also destroyed every idolatrous altar the other kings built that drew the people of Israel away from God, (v4). If you want to have God's abiding presence with you always, even in crisis situations, you must dare to be different from others, like Hezekiah; and trust God with all you are, and all you have. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, I want Your abiding presense in my life, marriage, family, business and ministry. Help me to trust You with all that I am and have.
