Handling Rejection 1
"And if some home or town will not welcome you or listen to you, then leave that place and shake the dust off your feet." Matthew 10:14 (GNB)
Rejection hurts, but it's a normal part of life. To be successful, you need to learn how to deal with rejection. You get rejected when you are snubbed, overlooked, denied, bypassed, or completely refused for what you duly qualify! You get rejected when your right is trampled upon without regard to your feeling.
Don’t allow rejection from people reduce you to a heap of refuse. Handling rejection means allowing yourself to feel the natural sting of disappointment without letting it damage your self-worth. Shake it off. Refuse to take it personal or accept it as final. Look for new opportunities. One speck of rejection must not stick to the soles of your feet, or you will carry it with you to the next place. Don’t permit your past rejection to distort your view of future opportunities. This is your day.
Wisdom Fountain: “A "no" acts as an alarm bell to wake you up and keep you moving forward.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive Your abundant grace to handle every rejection. Knowing Lord, that the pain of rejection is sharp, empower me with Your Spirit to process every hurt without letting bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, or self-doubt take root in my soul. Remind me that my true worth is found in You alone, not in the shifting approval or acceptance of people. Let Your love fill every empty place in Jesus’ name.
