BE INTORANT OF FALSE TEACHERS
Revelation 2 [RSV]
[vs: 2] “..... and how you cannot bear evil men but have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and found them to be lairs;
This part of the verse highlights the ephesians commitment to holiness and doctrinal discernment . They were not the church that accepted every person or every teaching without examining them with the scripture.
Like the ephesians any believer who will not be decieved and led astray by false doctrines and teachers must have the commitment to not accept any teaching that doesn't  align with the holy scripture no matter the religious claim or title of the person preaching it.
"And how thou canst not bear them which are evil " .The phrase canst not bear means they would not toralate or approve of those whose life and teachings were evil , the word evil dose not only refers to immoral conducts but also to those who sought to corrupt the church through ungodly teachings or practices , Christ here called false apostles evil.the Ephesians believers understand that the church is called to be holy and did not compromise God's standards for anything or anyone because false teachings will ultimately leads to wrong lifestyles , unrighteousness and devietions from the narrow way that leads to heaven.
Application:
Can Christ commends you for not accepting, hearing or following  teachers who are preaching perverted gospel.
