PAUL AND SILAS were locked in an inner prison in Philippi. They were beaten and jailed for casting a demon out of a fortune-telling slave girl. Instead of complaining, they chose to worship God through prayer and song. The other inmates sat quietly and listened to them. A violent earthquake shook the prison foundations right after.
