THOU ART MY BATTLE AXE
Destroyer of Nations • Breaker in Pieces
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
Jeremiah 51:20 (KJV) “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.”
1. YOU ARE GOD'S INSTRUMENT
A battle axe is a weapon of impact. God can use ordinary people for extraordinary purposes.
Your strength is not the source—God is.
Your gifts, knowledge, experience and influence can become tools in God's hands.
2. STAY SHARP
A blunt axe cannot make much impact.
Sharpen yourself through:
1. God's Word
2. Prayer
3. Learning
4. Faith
5. Character
Ecclesiastes 10:10 (KJV) “If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength...”
Don't just be available—be prepared.
3. DON'T FEAR DIFFICULT ASSIGNMENTS
A battle axe is made for hard work.
If God gives you a difficult assignment, don't run from it.
Philippians 4:13 (KJV) “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Your confidence is not: “I am powerful.”
It is: “God can use me.”
4. STAY IN THE MASTER'S HANDS
An axe does not decide where it goes. The master does.
Stay surrendered to God.
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV) “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart... In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Don't run ahead of God. Let Him direct you.
KEY LESSON
1. Be available.
2. Stay sharp.
3. Be courageous.
4. Stay humble.
5. Make an impact.
FINAL CHARGE
You may see yourself as ordinary, but God can make you an instrument of extraordinary impact.
You are God's battle axe—not for decoration, but for divine impact.
Stay sharp. Stay surrendered. Stay in the Master's hands.
PRAYER
Father, make me a useful instrument in Your hands. Sharpen my gifts, strengthen my faith and guide my assignment. Remove fear and pride from me, and use my life to bring transformation and glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
