Dear God, thank You for this new day and for Your word that shows me who I’m supposed to be in You. Your word in Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” God, it’s not always easy to be gentle with people, to forgive them, or to have self-control over my emotions, but I’m asking You for that strength today. Help me walk in the Spirit instead of giving in to my flesh, and help me reflect Your fruit in my words and my actions in every situation I face. I want my life today to point people back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But he who has been a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. -James 1:25
