The Holy Spirit fell on the disciples on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4. A sound like a strong wind filled the house, tongues of fire rested on each person and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in different languages. Believers were together in one place in Jerusalem waiting for the promised Holy Spirit. A rushing mighty wind sound and divided tongues of fire appeared. All were filled and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them, allowing a diverse crowd to hear the message in their own native languages.
