THE DOUBLE EDGED SWORD: Revelation 2 [KJV] [vs: 12] And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; Christ introduced himself to this church as the one who hath two edge sword. Throughout  scripture the word of God is described as a sword, it is sharp, living and a two edge sword piercing and penetrating the heart with convinction and exposing what is hidden within us *Two edge sword. This description of the sword having two edges speaks of penetrating and decisive power,the word of God brings salvation to those that believes and obeys it but it also judges and condemn those who reject it.we are either saved   or condemned by the word,,it is the word of God that will judge us on the last day if we fail to believe and practice it today,as a two edge sword it can cut us in or cut us off. *One of the disrciptive names of Jesus is "The word of God" he is the word personified, in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word becomes flesh, John 1:1-2 this narrative was referring to Christ, the word of God,Revelation 19:13 Christ therefore does not merely speaks the word,he himself is the living word of God.
