You can love someone and still speak to them in a way that wounds their dignity. Respect means remembering that your spouse is not your opponent. It means refusing to insult, embarrass, belittle or humiliate them—even when you disagree. A disagreement should never become permission to destroy someone's dignity. In many Ghanaian homes, people may tolerate harsh words during an argument because "we are married." But marriage is precisely where our words should become more careful. 📖 God's Word "Be devoted to one another in love.
