DAY 30 - Morning
Theme: BUILDING A SAFE HOME: Creating a Marriage Where Love Respect and Peace Can Grow.

Reflection
What Will Your Marriage Leave Behind?

Good morning,
One day, our children will grow up.
Our careers will end.
Our possessions will pass to someone else.
Our houses may belong to another generation.
But what will remain in the hearts of those who knew us?
Perhaps your greatest legacy will not be money.
It may be the son who learned how to respect women because he watched his father honour his mother.
It may be the daughter who learned that marriage can be a place of safety because she watched her parents forgive each other.
It may be the young couple who found hope because you shared your testimony with them.
Your marriage is teaching someone something.
The question is:
What is it teaching them?

God's Word
"One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts." โ€” Psalm 145:4

Today's Love Action
Tell your spouse one value you hope your marriage will pass on to your children, family or community.

Let's Talk
What do we want people to remember about our marriage?

Prayer
Lord, help us build a marriage whose influence continues beyond our own lifetime. May our love, faith and character bless generations after us. Amen.

From The Counselor's Chair
Your children may forget many things you bought them, but they are likely to remember the emotional atmosphere they experienced at home.

Marriage Nugget
"Your marriage is not only your story; it is part of the story you are writing for the next generation."

Remember
In marriage, it is not about winning the argument; it is about winning each other's hearts.
