MY HEART NOTE
as August Closes.

Dear friend,
If you have journeyed with us through August, I want you to know something:
Your marriage is worth the effort.
Perhaps your marriage is thriving.
Perhaps you are rebuilding.
Perhaps you are carrying a private burden that nobody else knows.
Whatever your situation, don't give up on the beautiful possibility of growth.
You don't have to become perfect couples.
You simply need two hearts willing to keep learning, keep forgiving, keep praying and keep choosing love.
There will be another difficult conversation.
There will be another misunderstanding.
There will be another season when one of you becomes tired.
But there will also be another opportunity to say:
"Let's try again."
That may be one of the most powerful sentences in marriage.
As we close August, my prayer is that your home will become more than a place where people live together.
May it become a place where Christ is honoured, love is practised, forgiveness is extended, children are nurtured and others find hope.
Keep walking together.
And keep Christ at the centre.

Yours with pastoral affection,
Lewis Addai-Baah
