Good evening, Did you truly listen to your spouse? Sometimes we listen only long enough to prepare our response. Real listening is different. It says: "Your thoughts matter." "Your feelings matter." "I want to understand you." You may not always agree with your spouse, but you can always choose to listen respectfully. And sometimes, being heard is the beginning of healing. 📖 God's Word "To answer before listening—that is folly and shame." — Proverbs 18:13 🌙 Heart Check Did I genuinely listen to my spouse today, or was I more interested in defending myself or proving my point? Marriage Nugget "When you listen to understand, you create room for love to speak." 🙏 Prayer Lord, thank You for bringing us into this new month. Teach us to become better listeners and more compassionate spouses. Help us hear not only the words our partners speak, but also the emotions and needs behind those words.
