Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026 TITLE: "SEEK GOD'S DIRECTION: LET HIM LEAD YOUR WAY" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 25:4–5 (KJV) "Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." Isaiah 30:21 (KJV) "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON “When God leads, you may not know the whole journey, but you can trust the One who knows the way.” DAY'S REFLECTION Life is full of choices. Every day we decide where to go, what to pursue, whom to trust, and what to avoid. The challenge is that knowing what we want is not always the same as knowing what God wants. David prayed, “Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.” The words “shew,” “teach,” and “lead” reveal a humble heart that recognises its need for divine direction. To ask God to “shew” His ways is to seek His perspective. To “teach” means to allow His Word to instruct and correct us. To “lead” means to surrender our direction to Him rather than insisting on our own way. David also says, “on thee do I wait all the day.” Waiting on God requires patience. Sometimes God gives immediate direction; at other times, He requires us to wait until the right time becomes clear. Isaiah 30:21 gives a powerful picture of God's guidance: “This is the way, walk ye in it.” God does not merely want to show us the right path; He wants us to walk in it. Direction becomes useful when we obey it. Life experience teaches us that a wrong turn can cost time, resources, relationships, and opportunities. But seeking God's direction before making major decisions can save us from unnecessary trouble. Prayer, Scripture, godly counsel, and a willing heart help us discern the path God is showing us. God's guidance may sometimes lead us away from what looks attractive or comfortable. Do not confuse an easy path with God's path. The right way is the way that agrees with God's truth and purpose. Today, don't rush ahead of God. Ask Him to show you His way, teach you His truth, and direct your steps. Seek His direction. Listen carefully. Obey faithfully. John 10:27 (KJV) "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS) 1. Seek God before making important decisions. 2. Let God's Word shape your direction. 3. Wait patiently when His timing is unclear. 4. Listen for God's guidance and obey it. 5. Trust God's path even when it differs from your preference. EVERYDAY ACTION Pray before deciding, search the Scriptures, listen carefully, and obey the direction God gives you. PRAYER Father, show me Your ways, teach me Your truth, and direct my steps. Help me wait patiently, hear Your voice clearly, and walk faithfully in the path You have chosen for me. In Jesus' name, Amen. DECLARATION God is directing my steps. I will not walk in confusion.
