Have you ever sincerely tried to make your spouse happy, only to discover that they didn't seem to notice? Perhaps you bought a gift, but what they really wanted was your time. Perhaps you worked hard to provide for the family, but your spouse was longing to hear, "I appreciate you." Perhaps you said, "I love you," but what they needed was a warm embrace. Sometimes the problem isn't that love is absent. Love is present, but it is being communicated in a language the other person doesn't easily recognize. In a typical Ghanaian home, a husband may believe that working hard and paying the bills is his strongest expression of love. His wife may deeply appreciate that sacrifice but still long for meaningful conversation and affection. Neither is necessarily wrong. They may simply be speaking different love languages. Take time to discover how your spouse best receives love. 📖 God's Word "Do to others as you would have them do to you." — Luke 6:31 ❤️ Today's Love Action Ask your spouse: "What is one thing I do that makes you feel especially loved?" Don't defend or explain. Just listen. 💬 Let's Talk Do I love my spouse mainly in the way I prefer to give love, or in the way my spouse receives it best? 🙏 Prayer Lord, help us understand how our spouses receive love.
