'…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved...’ Acts 16:31 NKJV
BY PUTTING your trust in Christ, your soul will be saved and your life will be changed for the better. The testimonies that this is so, exists in hundreds of thousands of famous people such as William Gladstone, one of Britain’s greatest Prime Ministers, whose life was transformed by God. Abraham Lincoln tells us in his letters that at Gettysburg, the day he delivered his famous address, he too, was born again of God’s Spirit. Martin Luther had been exceedingly religious, even as Nicodemus was, and yet had known nothing of the new birth. But all that changed when he discovered these words in scripture: ‘…The just shall live by faith’ (Romans 1:17 NKJV). Writers like Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy of Russia, have described the work of God’s Spirit in utterly transforming their lives. Men like Chuck Colson, aide to President Richard Nixon and author of the bestseller Born Again have told of being radically changed by the new birth. And whether you live in a mansion or a mud hut, you too can be saved. When the Philippian jailer asked Paul, ‘What must I do to be saved?’ Paul didn’t give him a theological dissertation. No, he simply said: ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.’ Think: Not only can you be saved today, but through your life and testimony your entire family can be won to Christ, if they repent (2 Peter 3:9 CEV). Imagine the difference that could make! Do you have to understand it? No, but you can experience it. How? By placing your trust in Christ today.

THURSDAY, 3RD SEPTEMBER, 2026.
*EVANGELISM BY THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT*
*TEXT:* ACTS 5:12-16.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
*Timeless Truth:*_"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"_ (Mark 16:17,18).
*INTRODUCTION*
Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke led over 79 million people to Jesus Christ during his 30 years outreaches that spanned 1987-2017. He believed and practiced "Evangelism by Fire" which was compiled into a Book. It focused on passionate, Holy Spirit-led soul-winning. Preaching with the fire of the Holy Spirit is rooted in scripture like Luke 3:16, *"he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire"*. The "fire" represents God's active, undeniable power, zeal and purity in sharing the Gospel. Bonnke’s teaching emphasized that an unpreached gospel is incomplete; believers are called to actively engage the lost rather than wait passively. The Great Commission urges Christians to center their lives and ministries around fulfilling Jesus' command to preach to all nations. While not every believer is called to be an evangelist, every believer is called to be a passionate soulwinner. Obedience to the call to win souls is pivotal to Christian growth, exploits for Christ and making heaven at last.
*1. Miracle Attestation by Christ*
a. Holy Ghost fire was kindled in Jerusalem, the city that killed the Saviour and were breathing out hatred and violence against anything called Christ. That fire of the gospel, rather than being quenched, was able to overcome satanic oppositions of religious leaders. There was an explosion of revival. The population of the early Christian church grew from about 1,000 believers in AD 40 to roughly 6 million people, about 10% of the Roman Empire by AD 300. At that rate, in 350 AD, there were 33,882,005 Christians in a population of 60 Million or 56.% of the Roman Population. What was the main and initial secret that could break all oppositions? *"And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people"*. First, this was what Jesus promised them in Mark 16:16-20. God will always faithfully keep to the part of His deal if we do our part. While every believer is given power to heal and deliver the oppressed, God determines who He will use for mighty miracles and great deliverances. That time He used the Apostles. *"And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch"*. First, it takes a greater miracle to turn the mind and heart of man to be united with that of fellow believers than to move mountains. Where there is true unity, the genuine work of the Holy Spirit is evident and the mighty manifestations through the power of the Holy Spirit is irresistible.
b. Their venue of the gathering was Solomon’s Porch. It is the second temple with a massive compound, with extensive colonnades and covered areas. No doubt, the early Christians gathered together in a particular area of the temple complex, in an area open to all. This underlines the importance of vibrant fellowship for revival to take place. Once there is coldness and mere routine in the attendance of fellowship of the brethren, personal and corporate revival becomes elusive.

Do you have the fire for fellowship, unity with the brethren and passion for souls?
*2. Multitude Additions to the Church*
a. True revival or divine visitation is not known by just the additions of people to the local church, but by the additions of people to the Lord through genuine and observable conversions. "Mixed multitudes" can just be added to the church so as to belong to the winning team in the society or to continue eating the daily manna in the wilderness. *"And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women"*. The multitudes that were added were first added to the Lord before they were counted as being added to the visible church. Changed and transformed lives are the only parameter for true additions to the church.
b. There were miracles that attested to what they were preaching and those undeniable miracles contributed to the silencing of the arch-enemies of the gospel and made people to rebel against their antagonism of the gospel. *"Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them"*. The shadow of Peter did not have healing power, but Jesus used his shadow to heal. People understood Peter when he announced that the miracles that happened were never *"by our power and holiness"* (Acts 3:12-16). Since they did not idolize the shadow of Peter, Jesus could continue using that shadow for His glory. We should not idolize whatever or whosoever God is using to do wonders else the wonders will cease. What do you expect? There came *"Multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one"*. This was an answer to what the Apostles prayed for in Acts 4:30. Some prayed for prosperity and they got it. It is always good to prioritize prayers according to the mind of Christ. Our prayers should be salvation centred. Miracles are heralds of church growth that break skepticism in the heart and convince the sinners of the presence, power and passion of Christ to help the needy.

"And they were healed everyone". Why is this not happening today?
*3. Many still Adamant in Carnality*
a. Can you imagine that inspite of the visible transformed lives of believers and the clear manifestations of the power of God in a way that had never happened in Israel, some still refused to be converted? They admired the miracles, the integrity, the righteous living and the consecration of the saints to Christ, but they were not ready to pay the price of righteous living. They chose to continue in the carnal ways against all entreaties to get converted. They were deceived to think that serving self and Satan rather than the Saviour was better. *"And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them"*. This is the state of sinners today. This makes the preaching of the gospel to be continuous without relenting or satisfaction with the status quo. Every believer must be engaged, therefore, in persuading and convincing sinners that following Christ is better than following the way of sin and carnality. *"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men"* (2 Corinthians 5:11). Peter also did this work of persuasion in the day of Pentecost. *"And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation"* (Acts 2:40). Persuasive and convincing presentation of the gospel is an added key to opening the hardened and blinded door of the heart of sinners.

Do you take pain to persuade sinners or you just dump the gospel on them and go your way?

1.Ask for forgiveness where you have been negligent in soulwinning.
2.Ask for more fire of the Holy Ghost so that your preaching will bring conviction and salvation .
3.Pray for wisdom and unction to know how to persuade sinners to obey the gospel .
4.Ask for more of God's miracles, signs and wonders through you and the church leaders .

*The revered teacher and author, Martyn Lloyd Jones, was quoted as saying, "It is perfectly clear that in New Testament times, the gospel was authenticated in this way by signs, wonders and miracles of various characters and descriptions... Was it only meant to be true of the early church? ... The Scriptures never anywhere say that these things were only temporary - never! There is no such statement anywhere." Signs and wonders heralded by purity are the insignia of the Church Age.*
*Our text details the supernatural flow of power from believers in the early church to accomplish divine counsel. The downpour of pentecostal power on those early believers led to an unprecedented ingathering of souls who would ordinarily not believe the gospel. Expectedly, "many signs and wonders were wrought among the people". More staggering was the result that followed the miracles: "Believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women". It is obvious then that the divine, unassailable purpose of power manifestation principally is to shatter the shell of disinterest, shame the jeers of cynicism, and smash the shield of false religion. Power heralds the word of grace, softens the hardened heart, and wings the gospel into the heart of sinners. Wherever the true soul-saving gospel is preached, the miraculous comes to authenticate it to the glory of God.*
*Many believers today think that miracles are on par with the word of His grace. That is a fallacy. Signs and wonders do not save. They are not the power of God unto salvation; the gospel is! God's power to work wonders neither competes with His Word nor contradicts it. It is not above the Word, either. Signs, wonders and miracles are divine witnesses to the value, necessity, and centrality of the Word.*
*You have the privilege of a beautiful blend of benefits for a God-pleasing life and fruitful service today. The word of His grace that emphasises and teaches the necessity of the new birth and the purity of life is at your disposal. Added to this is the promise of enduement with power to confirm the Word in soul-winning, which follows a consecrated thirst and tarrying to receive.*

*The modern day hip-hop, pop, rock, jazz, that are mainly sensational, noisy and many times erotic do not edify saints. They can be harmful to the spiritual welfare of heaven-bound believers. Ungodly songs turn the heart away from holiness, righteousness and purity. Believers must shun such unprofitable songs.*
*Songs work wonders. Battles have been won, chains and fetters broken, and spectacular miracles wrought. Singing takes a lot of stress out of our lives and relax our nerves. Believers are supposed to obey his injunction and enjoy the blessings in songs.*

Danny had barely finished his lunch when his friend Bansy came in. They had agreed before that it was a convenient time to go and pluck the mangoes, now that the owner had travelled for a holiday. They were not aware of the camera installed on the solar light pole standing close to the mango tree.
The solar enables the owner to watch his compound wherever he is in any part of the world. It was foolish for them to think that there is a convenient time to do what is wrong. No time is convenient to do evil.
Some people wait for a convenient time to commit crime. How could it ever be convenient to sin? Some children say, *"It is not convenient now, let us wait until when mom and dad have gone out."* Some say, *"Wait until when the invigilator is not looking in this direction."* Some say: *"We will do it when everyone has gone away, or when it is night."*
How convenient is it for some people to do what is bad: tell a lie, fight, cheat, deceive, betray and even kill? Unfortunately, Judas Iscariot waited for a convenient time to betray his Master. For that, he is suffering terrible pain and eternal regret in hell fire.
*Do not betray the Lord in your word and in your action. The eyes of God see better than the best camera in the world. He sees what you hide from others. Don't do evil at all so that you will not suffer like Judas Iscariot.*

The first and best prayer that we can make is to implore the Spirit of God. ⏤ John Wesley
O God, who is everywhere present, who is surely here with us now as we bow before You—may You make Your presence real to us, so that we are conscious of it. We cannot see You, and it’s hard for us to know that You are truly with us. Give us faith in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, that You will be with us always, even unto the end of the world.
May Your presence make us strong and keep us always at peace. May it inspire us to always do our best, knowing that the Master’s eye is ever upon us. May it keep us from being discouraged and cast down, since You are always a very present help in times of trouble. May it make us watchful over all our life and conversation so that we do nothing and say nothing that would grieve You.
We desire, our Father, to be diligent today in all duty, and we ask You for help and guidance. Show us what You would have us do—and then give us the wisdom and grace to do all our duties. Help us to do them beautifully, so as to please You. Let us not live well merely out of obligation, but may we love to do what is right and do it with cheerfulness and glad-heartedness. WIFE: A GIFT TO THE HUSBAND
*THE MESSAGE:*
God declared that it is not good for the man to be alone. This statement is a clear expression of His grace towards him. God decided to meet man's needs. From the man, a rib was taken and made into a wife. She was brought to the man, and he recognised her as bone and flesh of himself. Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord." A wife who fails to present herself as a favour to her husband has been unable to recognise her worth as a precious gift from God. Women ought to cherish and submit to their husbands as God intends. You are a good gift from God to your husband. Hence, do not be troublesome such that your husband will desire happiness outside the home (Prov. 27:15-16).

ED.ii. THE EVIL ONE PATROLLING THE EARTH
"One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the Lord, and the accuser, satan, came with them. 'Where have you come from?' the Lord asked satan. Satan answered the Lord, 'I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that's going on." - Job 1:6-7
There are many people who do not believe in the evil one. But if you look around and see what is happening, you realize that you do not see the evil one personally, but you do see what he is doing. Do you know that the evil one is patrolling the earth?
One day, while God was sitting on His throne, He allowed the angels to appear before Him so He could judge their works. On that day which we read about in the book of Job, the evil one also appears among the angels. God interrupts His lawsuit, turns to the evil one and asks: 'Where have you come from'? The evil one answers: 'I have been patrolling the earth.'
The work of the evil one
When the evil one is patrolling the earth, he inspires troublemakers to mess things up. He tries to separate husband and wife, mother and child or brother and sister. There is no greater pleasure for him to bring separation into a church. Jesus says to Peter: 'Listen, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.'
Separation is the work of the evil one while he patrols the earth. He will also visit you during his patrol. You cannot escape from it.
Another tactic he uses is deception. With his lies, he attempts for example for people to disobey the Word of God. There are many who hear 'voices' and do terrible things. I can tell you from whom those voices are.
There is hope
Yet there is hope! Because Jesus Christ came into the world to put an end to the activities of the evil one. There is hope in whatever misery, there is hope in each circumstance. Jesus crushed the head of the evil one on the cross. James 4:7 says: 'Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'

Work as if everything depended upon you and pray as if everything depended upon God. ⏤ Francis of Assisi
We asked You this morning for the grace to be cheerful and to be messengers of good cheer to others. We thank You for whatever we were able to do in learning this lesson. Bless to others every cheerful word we spoke, and may the influence of our lives be a blessing to many. Where we failed to practice this lesson, please forgive us. We ask that You continue to teach us, and may we grow in this grace of cheerfulness until our daily lives become daily blessings.
We have tried to carry comfort and strength to others. Yet some of those around us are in trouble that we cannot reach. The trouble is beyond our ability to help. May You be their comforter. If it is not Your will to take away the trial, may You give them the grace to endure it with patience, and may You cause it to work for their good so that they grow in grace and are brought nearer to You.
We make a special prayer tonight, O God, for the children. We thank You for childhood and for all it means to homes and to this world. We thank You for children’s voices, which bring so much music into life. We thank You for the simplicity and humility of the children. Bless the children of this world. May they be instruments of grace in every home where their voices are heard. Bless homes for the sake of the children. May all parents be so like Jesus to the little ones who gather around them, that the young and tender lives will be beautiful and blessed, and that they may grow up into strong men and women, fearing You, loving and living the truth, and making the world holier. And to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we will give praise, honor, and worship, forevermore. Amen.

*EVANGELISM BY THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT*
*TEXT:* ACTS 5:12-16.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
*Timeless Truth:*_"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"_ (Mark 16:17,18).
*INTRODUCTION*
Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke led over 79 million people to Jesus Christ during his 30 years outreaches that spanned 1987-2017. He believed and practiced "Evangelism by Fire" which was compiled into a Book. It focused on passionate, Holy Spirit-led soul-winning. Preaching with the fire of the Holy Spirit is rooted in scripture like Luke 3:16, *"he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire"*. The "fire" represents God's active, undeniable power, zeal and purity in sharing the Gospel. Bonnke’s teaching emphasized that an unpreached gospel is incomplete; believers are called to actively engage the lost rather than wait passively. The Great Commission urges Christians to center their lives and ministries around fulfilling Jesus' command to preach to all nations. While not every believer is called to be an evangelist, every believer is called to be a passionate soulwinner. Obedience to the call to win souls is pivotal to Christian growth, exploits for Christ and making heaven at last.
*1. Miracle Attestation by Christ*
a. Holy Ghost fire was kindled in Jerusalem, the city that killed the Saviour and were breathing out hatred and violence against anything called Christ. That fire of the gospel, rather than being quenched, was able to overcome satanic oppositions of religious leaders. There was an explosion of revival. The population of the early Christian church grew from about 1,000 believers in AD 40 to roughly 6 million people, about 10% of the Roman Empire by AD 300. At that rate, in 350 AD, there were 33,882,005 Christians in a population of 60 Million or 56.% of the Roman Population. What was the main and initial secret that could break all oppositions? *"And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people"*. First, this was what Jesus promised them in Mark 16:16-20. God will always faithfully keep to the part of His deal if we do our part. While every believer is given power to heal and deliver the oppressed, God determines who He will use for mighty miracles and great deliverances. That time He used the Apostles. *"And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch"*. First, it takes a greater miracle to turn the mind and heart of man to be united with that of fellow believers than to move mountains. Where there is true unity, the genuine work of the Holy Spirit is evident and the mighty manifestations through the power of the Holy Spirit is irresistible.
b. Their venue of the gathering was Solomon’s Porch. It is the second temple with a massive compound, with extensive colonnades and covered areas. No doubt, the early Christians gathered together in a particular area of the temple complex, in an area open to all. This underlines the importance of vibrant fellowship for revival to take place. Once there is coldness and mere routine in the attendance of fellowship of the brethren, personal and corporate revival becomes elusive.

Do you have the fire for fellowship, unity with the brethren and passion for souls?
*2. Multitude Additions to the Church*
a. True revival or divine visitation is not known by just the additions of people to the local church, but by the additions of people to the Lord through genuine and observable conversions. "Mixed multitudes" can just be added to the church so as to belong to the winning team in the society or to continue eating the daily manna in the wilderness. *"And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women"*. The multitudes that were added were first added to the Lord before they were counted as being added to the visible church. Changed and transformed lives are the only parameter for true additions to the church.
b. There were miracles that attested to what they were preaching and those undeniable miracles contributed to the silencing of the arch-enemies of the gospel and made people to rebel against their antagonism of the gospel. *"Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them"*. The shadow of Peter did not have healing power, but Jesus used his shadow to heal. People understood Peter when he announced that the miracles that happened were never *"by our power and holiness"* (Acts 3:12-16). Since they did not idolize the shadow of Peter, Jesus could continue using that shadow for His glory. We should not idolize whatever or whosoever God is using to do wonders else the wonders will cease. What do you expect? There came *"Multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one"*. This was an answer to what the Apostles prayed for in Acts 4:30. Some prayed for prosperity and they got it. It is always good to prioritize prayers according to the mind of Christ. Our prayers should be salvation centred. Miracles are heralds of church growth that break skepticism in the heart and convince the sinners of the presence, power and passion of Christ to help the needy.

"And they were healed everyone". Why is this not happening today?
*3. Many still Adamant in Carnality*
a. Can you imagine that inspite of the visible transformed lives of believers and the clear manifestations of the power of God in a way that had never happened in Israel, some still refused to be converted? They admired the miracles, the integrity, the righteous living and the consecration of the saints to Christ, but they were not ready to pay the price of righteous living. They chose to continue in the carnal ways against all entreaties to get converted. They were deceived to think that serving self and Satan rather than the Saviour was better. *"And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them"*. This is the state of sinners today. This makes the preaching of the gospel to be continuous without relenting or satisfaction with the status quo. Every believer must be engaged, therefore, in persuading and convincing sinners that following Christ is better than following the way of sin and carnality. *"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men"* (2 Corinthians 5:11). Peter also did this work of persuasion in the day of Pentecost. *"And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation"* (Acts 2:40). Persuasive and convincing presentation of the gospel is an added key to opening the hardened and blinded door of the heart of sinners.

Do you take pain to persuade sinners or you just dump the gospel on them and go your way?

1.Ask for forgiveness where you have been negligent in soulwinning.
2.Ask for more fire of the Holy Ghost so that your preaching will bring conviction and salvation .
3.Pray for wisdom and unction to know how to persuade sinners to obey the gospel .
4.Ask for more of God's miracles, signs and wonders through you and the church leaders .

*The revered teacher and author, Martyn Lloyd Jones, was quoted as saying, "It is perfectly clear that in New Testament times, the gospel was authenticated in this way by signs, wonders and miracles of various characters and descriptions... Was it only meant to be true of the early church? ... The Scriptures never anywhere say that these things were only temporary - never! There is no such statement anywhere." Signs and wonders heralded by purity are the insignia of the Church Age.*
*Our text details the supernatural flow of power from believers in the early church to accomplish divine counsel. The downpour of pentecostal power on those early believers led to an unprecedented ingathering of souls who would ordinarily not believe the gospel. Expectedly, "many signs and wonders were wrought among the people". More staggering was the result that followed the miracles: "Believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women". It is obvious then that the divine, unassailable purpose of power manifestation principally is to shatter the shell of disinterest, shame the jeers of cynicism, and smash the shield of false religion. Power heralds the word of grace, softens the hardened heart, and wings the gospel into the heart of sinners. Wherever the true soul-saving gospel is preached, the miraculous comes to authenticate it to the glory of God.*
*Many believers today think that miracles are on par with the word of His grace. That is a fallacy. Signs and wonders do not save. They are not the power of God unto salvation; the gospel is! God's power to work wonders neither competes with His Word nor contradicts it. It is not above the Word, either. Signs, wonders and miracles are divine witnesses to the value, necessity, and centrality of the Word.*
*You have the privilege of a beautiful blend of benefits for a God-pleasing life and fruitful service today. The word of His grace that emphasises and teaches the necessity of the new birth and the purity of life is at your disposal. Added to this is the promise of enduement with power to confirm the Word in soul-winning, which follows a consecrated thirst and tarrying to receive.*

*The modern day hip-hop, pop, rock, jazz, that are mainly sensational, noisy and many times erotic do not edify saints. They can be harmful to the spiritual welfare of heaven-bound believers. Ungodly songs turn the heart away from holiness, righteousness and purity. Believers must shun such unprofitable songs.*
*Songs work wonders. Battles have been won, chains and fetters broken, and spectacular miracles wrought. Singing takes a lot of stress out of our lives and relax our nerves. Believers are supposed to obey his injunction and enjoy the blessings in songs.*

Danny had barely finished his lunch when his friend Bansy came in. They had agreed before that it was a convenient time to go and pluck the mangoes, now that the owner had travelled for a holiday. They were not aware of the camera installed on the solar light pole standing close to the mango tree.
The solar enables the owner to watch his compound wherever he is in any part of the world. It was foolish for them to think that there is a convenient time to do what is wrong. No time is convenient to do evil.
Some people wait for a convenient time to commit crime. How could it ever be convenient to sin? Some children say, *"It is not convenient now, let us wait until when mom and dad have gone out."* Some say, *"Wait until when the invigilator is not looking in this direction."* Some say: *"We will do it when everyone has gone away, or when it is night."*
How convenient is it for some people to do what is bad: tell a lie, fight, cheat, deceive, betray and even kill? Unfortunately, Judas Iscariot waited for a convenient time to betray his Master. For that, he is suffering terrible pain and eternal regret in hell fire.
*Do not betray the Lord in your word and in your action. The eyes of God see better than the best camera in the world. He sees what you hide from others. Don't do evil at all so that you will not suffer like Judas Iscariot.*

O God, who is everywhere present, who is surely here with us now as we bow before You—may You make Your presence real to us, so that we are conscious of it. We cannot see You, and it’s hard for us to know that You are truly with us. Give us faith in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, that You will be with us always, even unto the end of the world.
May Your presence make us strong and keep us always at peace. May it inspire us to always do our best, knowing that the Master’s eye is ever upon us. May it keep us from being discouraged and cast down, since You are always a very present help in times of trouble. May it make us watchful over all our life and conversation so that we do nothing and say nothing that would grieve You.
We desire, our Father, to be diligent today in all duty, and we ask You for help and guidance. Show us what You would have us do—and then give us the wisdom and grace to do all our duties. WIFE: A GIFT TO THE HUSBAND
*THE MESSAGE:*
God declared that it is not good for the man to be alone. This statement is a clear expression of His grace towards him. God decided to meet man's needs. From the man, a rib was taken and made into a wife. She was brought to the man, and he recognised her as bone and flesh of himself. Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord." A wife who fails to present herself as a favour to her husband has been unable to recognise her worth as a precious gift from God. Women ought to cherish and submit to their husbands as God intends. You are a good gift from God to your husband. Hence, do not be troublesome such that your husband will desire happiness outside the home (Prov. 27:15-16).

ED.ii. THE EVIL ONE PATROLLING THE EARTH
"One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the Lord, and the accuser, satan, came with them. 'Where have you come from?' the Lord asked satan. Satan answered the Lord, 'I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that's going on." - Job 1:6-7
There are many people who do not believe in the evil one. But if you look around and see what is happening, you realize that you do not see the evil one personally, but you do see what he is doing. Do you know that the evil one is patrolling the earth?
One day, while God was sitting on His throne, He allowed the angels to appear before Him so He could judge their works. On that day which we read about in the book of Job, the evil one also appears among the angels. God interrupts His lawsuit, turns to the evil one and asks: 'Where have you come from'? The evil one answers: 'I have been patrolling the earth.'
The work of the evil one
When the evil one is patrolling the earth, he inspires troublemakers to mess things up. He tries to separate husband and wife, mother and child or brother and sister. There is no greater pleasure for him to bring separation into a church. Jesus says to Peter: 'Listen, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.'
Separation is the work of the evil one while he patrols the earth. He will also visit you during his patrol. You cannot escape from it.
Another tactic he uses is deception. With his lies, he attempts for example for people to disobey the Word of God. There are many who hear 'voices' and do terrible things. I can tell you from whom those voices are.
There is hope
Yet there is hope! Because Jesus Christ came into the world to put an end to the activities of the evil one. There is hope in whatever misery, there is hope in each circumstance. Jesus crushed the head of the evil one on the cross. James 4:7 says: 'Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'

We asked You this morning for the grace to be cheerful and to be messengers of good cheer to others. We thank You for whatever we were able to do in learning this lesson. Bless to others every cheerful word we spoke, and may the influence of our lives be a blessing to many. Where we failed to practice this lesson, please forgive us. We ask that You continue to teach us, and may we grow in this grace of cheerfulness until our daily lives become daily blessings.
We have tried to carry comfort and strength to others. Yet some of those around us are in trouble that we cannot reach. The trouble is beyond our ability to help. May You be their comforter. If it is not Your will to take away the trial, may You give them the grace to endure it with patience, and may You cause it to work for their good so that they grow in grace and are brought nearer to You.
We make a special prayer tonight, O God, for the children. We thank You for childhood and for all it means to homes and to this world. We thank You for children’s voices, which bring so much music into life. We thank You for the simplicity and humility of the children. Bless the children of this world. May they be instruments of grace in every home where their voices are heard. Bless homes for the sake of the children. May all parents be so like Jesus to the little ones who gather around them, that the young and tender lives will be beautiful and blessed, and that they may grow up into strong men and women, fearing You, loving and living the truth, and making the world holier. And to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we will give praise, honor, and worship, forevermore. Amen.

'…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved...’ Acts 16:31 NKJV
BY PUTTING your trust in Christ, your soul will be saved and your life will be changed for the better. The testimonies that this is so, exists in hundreds of thousands of famous people such as William Gladstone, one of Britain’s greatest Prime Ministers, whose life was transformed by God. Abraham Lincoln tells us in his letters that at Gettysburg, the day he delivered his famous address, he too, was born again of God’s Spirit. Martin Luther had been exceedingly religious, even as Nicodemus was, and yet had known nothing of the new birth. But all that changed when he discovered these words in scripture: ‘…The just shall live by faith’ (Romans 1:17 NKJV). Writers like Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy of Russia, have described the work of God’s Spirit in utterly transforming their lives. Men like Chuck Colson, aide to President Richard Nixon and author of the bestseller Born Again have told of being radically changed by the new birth. And whether you live in a mansion or a mud hut, you too can be saved. When the Philippian jailer asked Paul, ‘What must I do to be saved?’ Paul didn’t give him a theological dissertation. No, he simply said: ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.’ Think: Not only can you be saved today, but through your life and testimony your entire family can be won to Christ, if they repent (2 Peter 3:9 CEV). Imagine the difference that could make! Do you have to understand it? No, but you can experience it. How? By placing your trust in Christ today.

He believed and practiced "Evangelism by Fire" which was compiled into a Book. It focused on passionate, Holy Spirit-led soul-winning. Preaching with the fire of the Holy Spirit is rooted in scripture like Luke 3:16, *"he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire"*. The "fire" represents God's active, undeniable power, zeal and purity in sharing the Gospel. Bonnke’s teaching emphasized that an unpreached gospel is incomplete; believers are called to actively engage the lost rather than wait passively. The Great Commission urges Christians to center their lives and ministries around fulfilling Jesus' command to preach to all nations. While not every believer is called to be an evangelist, every believer is called to be a passionate soulwinner. Obedience to the call to win souls is pivotal to Christian growth, exploits for Christ and making heaven at last.
*1. Miracle Attestation by Christ*
a. Holy Ghost fire was kindled in Jerusalem, the city that killed the Saviour and were breathing out hatred and violence against anything called Christ. That fire of the gospel, rather than being quenched, was able to overcome satanic oppositions of religious leaders. There was an explosion of revival. The population of the early Christian church grew from about 1,000 believers in AD 40 to roughly 6 million people, about 10% of the Roman Empire by AD 300. At that rate, in 350 AD, there were 33,882,005 Christians in a population of 60 Million or 56.% of the Roman Population. What was the main and initial secret that could break all oppositions? *"And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people"*. First, this was what Jesus promised them in Mark 16:16-20. God will always faithfully keep to the part of His deal if we do our part. While every believer is given power to heal and deliver the oppressed, God determines who He will use for mighty miracles and great deliverances. That time He used the Apostles. *"And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch"*. First, it takes a greater miracle to turn the mind and heart of man to be united with that of fellow believers than to move mountains. Where there is true unity, the genuine work of the Holy Spirit is evident and the mighty manifestations through the power of the Holy Spirit is irresistible.
b. Their venue of the gathering was Solomon’s Porch. It is the second temple with a massive compound, with extensive colonnades and covered areas. No doubt, the early Christians gathered together in a particular area of the temple complex, in an area open to all. This underlines the importance of vibrant fellowship for revival to take place. Once there is coldness and mere routine in the attendance of fellowship of the brethren, personal and corporate revival becomes elusive.

*2. Multitude Additions to the Church*
a. True revival or divine visitation is not known by just the additions of people to the local church, but by the additions of people to the Lord through genuine and observable conversions. "Mixed multitudes" can just be added to the church so as to belong to the winning team in the society or to continue eating the daily manna in the wilderness. *"And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women"*. The multitudes that were added were first added to the Lord before they were counted as being added to the visible church. Changed and transformed lives are the only parameter for true additions to the church.
b. There were miracles that attested to what they were preaching and those undeniable miracles contributed to the silencing of the arch-enemies of the gospel and made people to rebel against their antagonism of the gospel. *"Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them"*. The shadow of Peter did not have healing power, but Jesus used his shadow to heal. People understood Peter when he announced that the miracles that happened were never *"by our power and holiness"* (Acts 3:12-16). Since they did not idolize the shadow of Peter, Jesus could continue using that shadow for His glory. We should not idolize whatever or whosoever God is using to do wonders else the wonders will cease. What do you expect? There came *"Multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one"*. This was an answer to what the Apostles prayed for in Acts 4:30. Some prayed for prosperity and they got it. It is always good to prioritize prayers according to the mind of Christ. Our prayers should be salvation centred. Miracles are heralds of church growth that break skepticism in the heart and convince the sinners of the presence, power and passion of Christ to help the needy.

"And they were healed everyone". Why is this not happening today?
*3. Many still Adamant in Carnality*
a. Can you imagine that inspite of the visible transformed lives of believers and the clear manifestations of the power of God in a way that had never happened in Israel, some still refused to be converted? They admired the miracles, the integrity, the righteous living and the consecration of the saints to Christ, but they were not ready to pay the price of righteous living. They chose to continue in the carnal ways against all entreaties to get converted. They were deceived to think that serving self and Satan rather than the Saviour was better. *"And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them"*. This is the state of sinners today. This makes the preaching of the gospel to be continuous without relenting or satisfaction with the status quo. Every believer must be engaged, therefore, in persuading and convincing sinners that following Christ is better than following the way of sin and carnality. *"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men"* (2 Corinthians 5:11). Peter also did this work of persuasion in the day of Pentecost. *"And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation"* (Acts 2:40). Persuasive and convincing presentation of the gospel is an added key to opening the hardened and blinded door of the heart of sinners.

Do you take pain to persuade sinners or you just dump the gospel on them and go your way?

*Our text details the supernatural flow of power from believers in the early church to accomplish divine counsel. Expectedly, "many signs and wonders were wrought among the people". More staggering was the result that followed the miracles: "Believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women". It is obvious then that the divine, unassailable purpose of power manifestation principally is to shatter the shell of disinterest, shame the jeers of cynicism, and smash the shield of false religion. Power heralds the word of grace, softens the hardened heart, and wings the gospel into the heart of sinners. Wherever the true soul-saving gospel is preached, the miraculous comes to authenticate it to the glory of God.*
*Many believers today think that miracles are on par with the word of His grace. That is a fallacy. Signs and wonders do not save. They are not the power of God unto salvation; the gospel is! God's power to work wonders neither competes with His Word nor contradicts it. It is not above the Word, either. Signs, wonders and miracles are divine witnesses to the value, necessity, and centrality of the Word.*

Danny had barely finished his lunch when his friend Bansy came in. They had agreed before that it was a convenient time to go and pluck the mangoes, now that the owner had travelled for a holiday. They were not aware of the camera installed on the solar light pole standing close to the mango tree.
The solar enables the owner to watch his compound wherever he is in any part of the world. It was foolish for them to think that there is a convenient time to do what is wrong. No time is convenient to do evil.
Some people wait for a convenient time to commit crime. How could it ever be convenient to sin? Some children say, *"It is not convenient now, let us wait until when mom and dad have gone out."* Some say, *"Wait until when the invigilator is not looking in this direction."* Some say: *"We will do it when everyone has gone away, or when it is night."*
How convenient is it for some people to do what is bad: tell a lie, fight, cheat, deceive, betray and even kill? Unfortunately, Judas Iscariot waited for a convenient time to betray his Master. For that, he is suffering terrible pain and eternal regret in hell fire.
*Do not betray the Lord in your word and in your action. The eyes of God see better than the best camera in the world. He sees what you hide from others. Don't do evil at all so that you will not suffer like Judas Iscariot.*

O God, who is everywhere present, who is surely here with us now as we bow before You—may You make Your presence real to us, so that we are conscious of it. We cannot see You, and it’s hard for us to know that You are truly with us. Give us faith in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, that You will be with us always, even unto the end of the world.
May Your presence make us strong and keep us always at peace. May it inspire us to always do our best, knowing that the Master’s eye is ever upon us. May it keep us from being discouraged and cast down, since You are always a very present help in times of trouble. May it make us watchful over all our life and conversation so that we do nothing and say nothing that would grieve You.
We desire, our Father, to be diligent today in all duty, and we ask You for help and guidance. Show us what You would have us do—and then give us the wisdom and grace to do all our duties. 20. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
21. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.
22. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man.

WIFE: A GIFT TO THE HUSBAND
*THE MESSAGE:*
God declared that it is not good for the man to be alone. This statement is a clear expression of His grace towards him. God decided to meet man's needs. From the man, a rib was taken and made into a wife. She was brought to the man, and he recognised her as bone and flesh of himself. Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord." A wife who fails to present herself as a favour to her husband has been unable to recognise her worth as a precious gift from God. Women ought to cherish and submit to their husbands as God intends. You are a good gift from God to your husband. Hence, do not be troublesome such that your husband will desire happiness outside the home (Prov. 27:15-16).

ED.ii. THE EVIL ONE PATROLLING THE EARTH
"One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the Lord, and the accuser, satan, came with them. 'Where have you come from?' the Lord asked satan. Satan answered the Lord, 'I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that's going on." - Job 1:6-7
There are many people who do not believe in the evil one. But if you look around and see what is happening, you realize that you do not see the evil one personally, but you do see what he is doing. Do you know that the evil one is patrolling the earth?
One day, while God was sitting on His throne, He allowed the angels to appear before Him so He could judge their works. On that day which we read about in the book of Job, the evil one also appears among the angels. God interrupts His lawsuit, turns to the evil one and asks: 'Where have you come from'? The evil one answers: 'I have been patrolling the earth.' The work of the evil one
When the evil one is patrolling the earth, he inspires troublemakers to mess things up. He tries to separate husband and wife, mother and child or brother and sister. There is no greater pleasure for him to bring separation into a church. Jesus says to Peter: 'Listen, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.' Separation is the work of the evil one while he patrols the earth. He will also visit you during his patrol. You cannot escape from it.
Another tactic he uses is deception. With his lies, he attempts for example for people to disobey the Word of God. There are many who hear 'voices' and do terrible things. I can tell you from whom those voices are.
There is hope
Yet there is hope! Because Jesus Christ came into the world to put an end to the activities of the evil one. There is hope in whatever misery, there is hope in each circumstance. We asked You this morning for the grace to be cheerful and to be messengers of good cheer to others. We thank You for whatever we were able to do in learning this lesson. Bless to others every cheerful word we spoke, and may the influence of our lives be a blessing to many. Where we failed to practice this lesson, please forgive us. We ask that You continue to teach us, and may we grow in this grace of cheerfulness until our daily lives become daily blessings.
We have tried to carry comfort and strength to others. Yet some of those around us are in trouble that we cannot reach. The trouble is beyond our ability to help. May You be their comforter. If it is not Your will to take away the trial, may You give them the grace to endure it with patience, and may You cause it to work for their good so that they grow in grace and are brought nearer to You.
We make a special prayer tonight, O God, for the children. We thank You for childhood and for all it means to homes and to this world. We thank You for children’s voices, which bring so much music into life. We thank You for the simplicity and humility of the children. Bless the children of this world. May they be instruments of grace in every home where their voices are heard. Bless homes for the sake of the children. May all parents be so like Jesus to the little ones who gather around them, that the young and tender lives will be beautiful and blessed, and that they may grow up into strong men and women, fearing You, loving and living the truth, and making the world holier. And to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we will give praise, honor, and worship, forevermore. Amen.
