Good evening, Tonight, slow down. Remember a conversation you had today. Was your spouse trying to communicate a need that you missed? Understanding takes patience. Sometimes love says: "Tell me more. I want to understand." 📖 God's Word "The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered." — Proverbs 17:27 🌙 Heart Check When my spouse expresses frustration, do I become defensive before I try to understand what is hurting them? 💎 Marriage Nugget "Listen not only to what your spouse says, but also to what their heart is trying to say." 🙏 Prayer Lord, give me patience when my spouse is struggling to express what is in their heart. Help me listen without immediately becoming defensive. Teach me to respond with compassion. Amen. Remember In marriage, it is not about winning the argument; it is about winning each other's hearts.
