Are you mixing old covenant thinking with new covenant thinking?

Those who mix the old and the new, those who try to find a balance between law and grace, end up in a false gospel of faith plus works. It seems to them that the blood of Jesus isn't enough. They must add 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 obedience to Jesus' "FINISHED" work.

Some people's idea of faithfulness and being a servant of God turns out to be mostly about 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 works. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 faithfulness. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 goodness. It depends upon whether or not 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 can "endure to the end." It depends upon whether or not 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 maintain 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 relationship with God by works of confession and constant requests for forgiveness.

Sad. It IS very sad.

If that's you, REPENT of old covenant legalistic behavior modification centered thinking that diminishes the power and effectiveness of Jesus' blood and puts the focus on self. We can do NOTHING to save ourselves, and it is certain that we can do NOTHING to keep ourselves saved. Our salvation, and our continued right standing with God, is entirely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus as our only source and our only hope of salvation.

I'm telling you the gospel truth!!
