Saturday, 5th September, 2026 TITLE: "PREPARE YOURSELF FOR GOD'S APPOINTED TIME" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" 2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV) "If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON “God has an appointed time, but preparation determines whether you are ready for the opportunity.” DAY'S REFLECTION Ecclesiastes reminds us that “to every thing there is a season, and a time.” Life has different seasons—waiting, learning, working, growing, and receiving. Paul says a person must “purge himself” to become a “vessel unto honour.” To purge means to remove attitudes, habits, relationships, and behaviours that make us unfit for God's purpose. “Sanctified” means set apart for God, while “meet for the Master's use” means useful and ready for His service. Life experience shows that opportunities often come suddenly, but successful preparation usually happens quietly. Do not wait for your season before preparing; prepare because your season is coming. MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 90:17 (KJV) "And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it." Proverbs 16:3 (KJV) "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." 2 Timothy 2:20 (KJV) "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour." LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS) 1. Recognise that every season has a purpose. 2. Prepare before your opportunity arrives. 3. Remove what makes you spiritually unfit. 4. Stay available for God's assignment. 5. Let your life become useful to God. EVERYDAY ACTION Pray, prepare, remove distractions, and stay ready for God's opportunity. PRAYER Father, help me recognise my season and prepare myself for Your purpose. Remove everything that hinders me and make me a vessel fit for Your use. In Jesus' name, Amen.
