PRAYER:
Father, we thank You for bringing us into the month of September. Thank You for life, for preservation, and for the grace to see another month. Lord, as we enter this new season, let Your divine remembrance locate us. Remember every genuine prayer, every hidden sacrifice, every expectation and every promise concerning our lives. Let September become a month of testimony, restoration, divine intervention and answered prayers. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

LESSON: ISAIAH 55:8-13

TOPIC:
SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER

TEXT:
And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark…
GENESIS 8:1 (NKJV)

INTRODUCTION:
Beloved, welcome to September. But today, I don't want us to look at September as just another month on the calendar. I want us to see it as a month with divine possibilities. Our theme is simple:
SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER!
There are some months we pass through and hardly remember anything about them. But there are also seasons in our lives that become landmarks.
You look back and say, “That was the month everything changed.” That is my prayer for somebody listening to me today. May September become a month you will remember for good.

Our anchor Scripture says:
«“And God remembered Noah…”»
Think about that for a moment.
Noah had been inside the ark while the flood covered the earth. Days passed. Weeks passed. The situation probably looked like it was not changing.
But then Scripture says, “God remembered Noah.”
God had not forgotten him. And this is important.
When the Bible says God remembered Noah, it does not mean that God suddenly recalled that Noah existed. It means God turned His divine attention toward Noah and moved his situation forward.
So today, our declaration is:
“September, my season of divine remembrance!”

EXPOSITION:
[1]. WHEN GOD REMEMBERS YOU, YOUR STORY CHANGES. Genesis 8:1; Genesis 30:22
Noah's story changed when God remembered him.
Before that moment, the waters were still there.
The ark was still floating. The situation had not visibly changed. But when God remembered Noah, Scripture says that God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters began to subside. Notice something.
The first evidence that God remembered Noah was not necessarily a dramatic miracle.
The waters simply began to go down.

Sometimes, when God begins to intervene in our lives, the first thing that happens is not that everything suddenly becomes perfect. Sometimes, the pressure simply begins to reduce. A door begins to open.
A connection comes. An opportunity appears.
A delayed process begins moving. Peace returns.
Strength comes back. And you suddenly realize:
“Something has changed.”
There may be somebody listening to me who has been asking, “When will my own story change?”
You have prayed. You have waited. You have tried.
You have cried. But today, I want to remind you:
God has not forgotten you.

The same God who remembered Noah can remember you. The same God who remembered Rachel and opened her womb can remember you.
The same God who remembered Hannah and turned her tears into testimony can remember you.
Therefore, as we enter September:
May God remember your case.
May He remember your household.
May He remember your labour.
May He remember your prayers. May He remember the places where you have been overlooked. And may He cause your story to change for good.

EXPOSITION 2
[2]. SEPTEMBER IS A MONTH TO REMEMBER GOD'S PROMISES Habakkuk 2:3; Isaiah 55:11
There is another dimension to divine remembrance.
Sometimes, when we have waited for something for a long time, we begin to forget what God told us.
We remember the problem more than the promise.
We remember the delay more than the prophecy.
We remember the disappointment more than the Word of God. But September is a good time to remember again. What did God promise you? What did He place in your heart? What Scripture has carried you through difficult seasons? What dream did you almost abandon because the waiting became too long?

Habakkuk 2:3 tells us that the vision is for an appointed time. That means God operates with timing.
Something can be delayed without being denied.
Noah did not know exactly when the flood would end.
But God knew. Abraham waited. Joseph waited.
David waited. Hannah waited. And yet God's purpose was not cancelled by the waiting period.
So don't allow the length of the journey to convince you that God has changed His mind. Maybe September will be the month when something you have been waiting for finally begins to take shape.
Maybe it will not happen exactly the way you imagined. Maybe it will begin quietly.

But remember this: God's silence is not God's absence. And delay does not mean abandonment.
So this September, don't only count your problems.
Count God's promises. Don't only look at what has not happened. Remember what God has said.
Don't bury your faith because of yesterday's disappointment. Lift your expectation again.

EXPOSITION 3
[3]. LET SEPTEMBER BE A MONTH GOD WILL REMEMBER YOU FOR: Hebrews 6:10; Matthew 5:16
Now, this is where the message becomes personal.
We have been talking about God remembering us.
But there is another question we must ask:
What will God remember about us? Hebrews 6:10 tells us that God is not unjust to forget our work and labour of love. That means God sees what people don't see. People may forget your sacrifice.
People may forget the help you gave them.
People may forget the prayers you prayed.
People may overlook your service.
But God does not forget.

So let September not only be a month where we ask God for blessings. Let it also be a month where we give God something worthy of remembrance.
Let God remember your faithfulness.
Let Him remember your obedience. Let Him remember your kindness. Let Him remember your commitment to His kingdom. Let Him remember that when things became difficult, you still trusted Him. Because sometimes we are praying: “Lord, remember me.” And heaven may be asking: “What kind of person are you becoming while you wait?”

That is a serious question. Don't enter a new month with an old heart. Don't enter September carrying bitterness from August. Don't carry unforgiveness into a season where you are asking God for new doors.
Don't ask God for restoration while refusing to release those who hurt you. September should be a month of spiritual renewal. A month to return to prayer.
A month to return to the Word.
A month to strengthen your relationship with God.
A month to become more useful in His hands.
Because the greatest testimony is not simply:
“God remembered me.”It is: “God remembered me, and I was ready for what He brought.”

CONCLUSION:
SEPTEMBER OF GREAT TESTIMONIES
Beloved, September is here. And we are not entering this month with fear. We are entering with faith.
We are entering with expectation.
We are entering with thanksgiving.
And above all, we are entering with God.
So I want you to remember this declaration:
SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER! May this be the September when forgotten prayers receive divine attention. May this be the September when delayed expectations begin to move. May this be the September when closed doors open according to God's will. May this be the September of restoration.
May this be the September of divine connections.
May this be the September of supernatural intervention. May this be the September when God turns your tears into testimony. And when you look back at this month, may you be able to say:
“I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT GOD DID FOR ME IN SEPTEMBER 2026.”

But remember, it is not enough to ask God to remember you. Remember God.
Remember His Word. Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His goodness. Remember that the God who carried you through yesterday is still God today.
And if God remembered Noah in the middle of the flood, He can remember you in the middle of your storm. Your situation is not beyond His reach.
Your prayer is not beyond His hearing.
Your story is not beyond His power.
SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER!
And by the grace of God,
THIS SEPTEMBER SHALL BE A SEASON OF DIVINE REMEMBRANCE!

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for bringing us into September. Let this month be different.
Remember Your people for good. Remember every genuine prayer, every sacrifice, every righteous labour and every expectation according to Your perfect will.
Let forgotten opportunities be restored. Let delayed testimonies receive divine attention. Let doors that should open, open. Above all, help us to remember You, to walk with You and to remain faithful to You.
And when September is over, let us have testimonies that will make us say: “Indeed, September was a month to remember.” In Jesus' mighty name. AMEN!

GOODWILL MESSAGE
May this September become a month you will never forget for good. May the God who remembered Noah remember you for mercy, favour and divine intervention. May forgotten prayers receive answers, delayed expectations receive divine attention, and doors ordained for you open at the appointed time.

May your tears turn into testimony, your waiting into celebration, and your expectations into tangible evidence of God's faithfulness. This September, may heaven remember you! And when this month is over, may you have every reason to say:
“SEPTEMBER WAS TRULY A MONTH TO REMEMBER!” In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

HAPPY FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH
A SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER.
