*TEXT:*
EPHESIANS 5:21-22.

Gen 3:16 1Co 14:34 Col 3:18 Tit 2:5 1Pe 3:1
*TOPIC:*
SUBMISSION.
*THE MESSAGE:*
To submit is to yield to someone voluntarily. Husband and wife are urged to submit to one another. Doing so is an indication that they honour and reverence Christ as the Lord of their lives. Just as Jesus submitted His will to the Father, wives are also admonished to submit to their husbands. Christian women are counselled to submit to their husbands, even the unbelieving, to win them over to Christ (1 Pet. 3:1). The husband should not abuse this submission character to enslave his wife. As a wife, understand that your submission to your husband is unto the Lord. So, do it with joy. Are you a stubborn wife, always wanting to have the final say? Please change and submit your rights to your husband.
*REFLECTION:*
Submission reveals your love for God.
*PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to practice Christ-like submission. Amen.
*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
PROVERBS 3:34.
He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble and oppressed.
*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
AMOS 6-7.
ED.ii. Evening Prayer
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; ⏤ 1 Timothy 2:1
Prayer can do anything that God can do. ⏤ R.A. Torrey
O Lord, give Your blessing to us this evening. Let Your face shine upon us and be gracious unto us. Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us and give us peace. May our sins be forgiven. May our errors be corrected. May the work of our hands be blessed. May the influence of our lives upon others be sanctified.
We can never have this day again to amend anything in it, to recall what is evil, or to add what is lacking. So we leave it with You, asking for Your blessing upon it.
We remember the community around us, asking that You would send Your blessing upon all its homes. Remember all the children and keep them in their tender years; carry them in Your bosom, Good Shepherd. Remember all the young people amid the world's temptations and attractions. Keep them, and may they become noble men and women. Remember the sick, the old, the sorrowing, and the poor, and have pity upon the unsaved.
We pray for our country. Remember those who rule over us and give them wisdom to rule in Your fear and for You. Bless all our institutions. May Your grace more and more rule in them, making them influences for good in the world. Keep Your protection around those who go upon the seas and those who work amid dangers.
We pray for Your church. Bless its ministers, and may they be faithful and earnest. Bless all its members, and may they be true in all their life before men. May their light so shine that all who see them shall be led to believe in the power of Jesus. Hear us, bless us, and keep us through the night. We ask in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

2. Evening Prayer for today.
EP.i. THE DECEPTION
"Not everyone who says to Me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 7:21
When you listen to these words our Lord Jesus said and read the entire chapter, you will discover that it is quite difficult to be a sincere Christian.
Matthew 7:13 also says: 'Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction.'
The Lord Jesus says that the way leading to hell is wide and easy to walk on, but the way to eternal life is narrow. The reason Jesus mentions this is because it is difficult to find that narrow way. There are many fake ways which actually lead you to the broad road. These fake ways look so attractive that it is easy to get deceived.
False prophets and deceivers
The Lord also says that there are many false prophets, deceivers, who come to you as innocent sheep, but they are wolves in sheep's clothing. Like earlier times, today there are false prophets who do their work successfully and are misleading many - even Christians. The Lord God wants us to pay attention, so we do not fall for this. I advise you not to believe a preacher if his teaching is not according to the Word of God. Such a person is a false prophet and a liar.
Paul says in Galatians 1:8: 'But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse.' Many deceivers come in sheep's clothing or like an angel of light. As such they lead people to a road whose end is the death.
Dear readers, I advise you to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He is the source of all truth. You will then know the difference between the real thing and what is false.
