TRUST IN THE LORD
Trust Him • Give Him Your Heart • Acknowledge Him
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV) “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
1. “TRUST” — DEPEND ON GOD
Trust means relying on God even when you cannot see the whole picture.
You may not understand what God is doing, but you can trust who God is.
Faith says: “I don't know how, but I know God will lead me.”
2. “HEART” — GIVE GOD YOUR WHOLE SELF
The heart represents the inner person—your thoughts, desires, decisions and will.
God doesn't want half-hearted trust.
Don't trust God with your lips while your heart is controlled by fear.
Give Him your plans, relationships, work, finances and future.
3. “LEAN NOT” — DON'T DEPEND ONLY ON YOUR OWN THINKING
Your understanding is limited. God's wisdom is greater.
Use your mind, but don't make your mind your god.
Seek God's direction before making major decisions.
4. “ACKNOWLEDGE HIM” — INVOLVE GOD
To acknowledge God means to recognise Him, honour Him and include Him in every area of your life.
Don't bring God into your plans only after everything has gone wrong.
Let God be involved from the beginning.
5. “HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS”
When you trust God, surrender your heart and acknowledge Him, He promises direction.
It may not always be the easiest path, but it will be the path He wants you to take.
KEY LESSON
1. TRUST Him — depend on Him.
2. HEART — surrender completely.
3. ACKNOWLEDGE HIM — involve Him in everything.
4. DIRECTION — allow Him to lead.
FINAL CHARGE
Don't let what you don't understand make you stop trusting God.
Trust Him with your heart.
Acknowledge Him in your ways.
Let Him direct your path.
SHORT PRAYER
Father, teach me to trust You with all my heart. Help me not to depend only on my own understanding. May I acknowledge You in every area of my life and follow wherever You lead me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
