TODAY’S TEACHINGS
TOPIC: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL GOD ABOUT YOUR LIFE?
SCRIPTURES WE READ: PSALM 116:12-14, PSALM 39:4-5, 2 TIMOTHY 4:7-8)

Today we looked at our lives from a different perspective whereby if God gave you an opportunity to speak honestly about your life, what would you want to tell Him?

STEP 1: GOD DOES NOT ONLY LOOK AT OUR WORDS BUT HE LOOKS AT OUR LIVES.
✓We can say that we love God but our lives reveal whether we truly value Him through our obedience, character, use of time and the way we treat others all speak before God.

STEP 2: TRUE THANKSGIVING MAKES US ASK, “WHAT HAVE I GIVEN BACK TO GOD?”
✓Psalm 116:12-14 moves us from “What will God give me?” to “After everything God has done for me, what can I give back to Him?” That is where thanksgiving becomes a lifestyle and not merely words.

STEP 3: DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LIFE TO PASS WITHOUT PURPOSE.
✓Psalm 39:4-5 reminds us that our days are limited whereby we cannot bring yesterday back so we must use today wisely because some things may look important now but will have no eternal value.

STEP 5: THE GREATEST VICTORY IS NOT JUST STARTING WITH GOD BUT FINISHING FAITHFULLY.
✓ In 2 Timothy 4:7-8, Paul did not boast only about what he had achieved but He testified that he had fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith that is what we should desire to finish still holding on to God.

✓Today ask yourself: "when my life is over what will I want it to have said to God?" Because I do not want my life to only say, “God helped me,” but I want it to say, “Lord I thanked You I honored You, I learned, I obeyed and I kept the faith," therefore on this month of September to Remember let us not only desire a life that God has blessed but let us also build a life that God can look at and say, “this person did not forget why I gave them the opportunity to live.”
