*"THE WORD BECAME FLESH - JESUS CAME FOR YOU "*

John 1 is the whole Gospel in 1 chapter. It answers: *Who is Jesus, Why did He come, and What do I do now?*

*Good morning brethren!*
Genesis starts with *_"In the beginning God created..."_*
John starts even deeper: *_"In the beginning was the Word..."_*

Before time, before creation, before your problems — *the Word was already there*.
And that Word has a Name: *Jesus*.

John 1 gives us 4 pictures of Jesus:

*2. THE 4 PICTURES OF JESUS IN JOHN 1*

*1. JESUS IS THE ETERNAL WORD [v.1-5, 14]*
*v1* _"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."_
*v14* _"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us."_

3 Truths:
1. *He was* — Jesus has no birthday. He is eternal.
2. *He was with God* — Perfect relationship in the Trinity
3. *He was God* — Not a prophet. Not an angel. God Himself.

Then v14: He left heaven and *moved into our neighborhood*.
_Illustration_: Like a president leaving the state house to come live in your home and know your name.
That’s how much God loves you.

*2. JESUS IS THE CREATOR [v.3]*
_"Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made."_

The One who made your lungs, made your phone, made the sun — *is the same One who can remake your life*.
The One who made you, can fix you.

*3. JESUS IS THE LIGHT & LIFE [v.4-9]*
*v4* _"In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind."_
*v5* _"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."_

We all have 2 problems: *Death* and *Darkness*.
Sin brings death. Fear, confusion, depression = darkness.

But Jesus is the answer to both.
Light doesn’t argue with darkness. It just shows up and darkness runs.
And the enemy cannot put out that light.

*4. JESUS IS THE ONE WE MUST RECEIVE [v.10-13]*
*v11* _"He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him."_
*v12* _"But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."_

Notice: It’s not by family, not by church, not by good works.
*It’s by receiving Him.*
John the Baptist’s job was just to point [v6-8]. _"I’m not the Light. I’m just the billboard."_

*3. APPLICATION - 3 QUESTIONS FOR YOU TODAY*

John 1 is asking you:

1. *Do you know WHO Jesus is?*
Not just a good man. He is God, Creator, Light.

2. *Have you RECEIVED Him?*
Being born in a Christian home doesn’t make you a child of God. Believing does.

3. *Are you REFLECTING Him?*
John pointed to Jesus. Are people seeing Jesus when they see you?

*4. CLOSING + ALTAR CALL*
Church, you don’t need more motivation. You need *the Word*.
You don’t need more plans. You need *the Life*.
You don’t need more fear. You need *the Light*.

The Word that spoke the universe into being wants to speak into your situation today.
*Will you receive Him today?*

*5. PRAYER*
"Father, thank You for Jesus, the Living Word.
Forgive us for treating Him like just a story.
Today we receive You. Be our God, be our Creator, be our Light.
Fill the dark places with Your life.
From Your fullness we receive grace upon grace.
In Jesus mighty name, Amen."

When a Gift Becomes a Master

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 “You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”

One of the most dangerous moments in a person's life is not always the season of having nothing.

Sometimes it is the season when everything begins working.

The bills are being paid.

Opportunities are increasing.

Doors are opening.

The work is producing results.

People are recognising your efforts.

And slowly, without noticing it, the heart can begin changing its language.

Yesterday it was:

“God helped me.”

Today it becomes:

“I worked hard for this.”

Eventually it becomes:

“I did this myself.”

God was not warning Israel against wealth.

He was warning them against forgetting the Source while enjoying the result.

There is a subtle difference between enjoying what God has given you and becoming convinced that you no longer need the God who gave it.

Success can create an illusion of self-sufficiency.

The stronger your hands become, the easier it can be to forget that you did not create the strength in those hands.

Your intelligence is a gift.

Your opportunities are gifts.

Your health is a gift.

Your skills are gifts.

The people who helped you are gifts.

Even the ability to recognise and use an opportunity is something you did not manufacture from nothing.

This is why Scripture says, “Remember the Lord.”

Remembering God is more than occasionally saying, “Thank God.”

It is refusing to rewrite your story as though you arrived where you are entirely by yourself.

And this applies beyond money.

A relationship can become a master.

A career can become a master.

Education can become a master.

Popularity can become a master.

Even comfort can become a master.

Anything good can become dangerous when it takes the place that belongs to God.

The question is not simply:

“Is this thing good?”

The deeper question is:

“Does this thing still have the right place in my heart?”

A gift is safe when you can receive it with gratitude without worshipping it.

You can work hard without worshipping achievement.

You can desire financial stability without making money your god.

You can appreciate people without making them your entire source of identity.

You can enjoy success without allowing success to become your master.

Never let the blessing become so important that you forget the Blesser.

Because the greatest tragedy is not possessing much and losing it.

It is possessing much and losing your dependence on God.

Daily Application

Today, take one thing you are proud of your work, business, talent, education, relationship, achievement, or provision and deliberately thank God for the chain of grace behind it.

Then ask yourself honestly:

“If God removed this from my life, would I still know who I am in Him?”

Also look at how you speak about your achievements.

Replace the language of self-glory with gratitude.

Instead of only saying, “I made it because I am strong,” remember the people, opportunities, strength, wisdom, protection, and favour that helped you along the way.

And use at least one thing God has given you to bless someone else today.

A gift remains beautiful when it passes through your hands without taking God's place in your heart.

Prayer: Father thank You for every ability, opportunity, provision, relationship and achievement You have allowed us to experience. Protect our hearts from pride and self-sufficiency. Never allow Your blessings to become idols in our lives. Teach us to enjoy what You provide while remaining deeply dependent upon You. May everything placed in our hands ultimately point our hearts back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS 5TH SEPTEMBER 2026 SATURDAY

Heavenly Father thank You for waking us up and carrying us into another day, we receive this morning as a gift of Your mercy and we do not take the breath in our lungs or the opportunity to begin again for granted for many slept having hopes of seeing another day to continue with their daily duties they couldn't make it but by your grace we're here we say thank you. Father this morning before we begin our daily activities forgive us for every sin and iniquity, forgive our wrong thoughts, words, actions, attitudes, disobedience and unforgiveness, cleanse our hearts and help us walk in righteousness today. Lord go before us today and let no trap prepared against us succeed, expose what is hidden, disconnect us from what is dangerous and give us discernment to recognize what is not from You. Father where our strength is failing, strengthen us, where our hearts are discouraged, revive us and where we have been waiting give us grace to trust Your timing without losing faith. We declare that today will not be wasted, order our steps, establish the work of our hands and lead us toward the people, places and opportunities You have appointed for us and let no distraction steal what You have ordained for this day. Lord protect our families, our homes, our journeys and everything concerning us, keep us from accidents, evil encounters, sudden trouble and every hidden danger. Lord as it's written in Psalm 143:8 show us the way today let Your voice be louder than fear, pressure and confusion, give us wisdom to know when to move, when to wait and when to walk away. INTRODUCTION:
Church — We want breakthrough — We want prayers heard — But we do fasting and prayer today without requirements taught by Spirit — That is why few see power.

Today we look to Christ about 2 aspects — Fasting and Prayer — His example is our pattern.

I. JESUS & FASTING — REQUIREMENTS TAUGHT BY SPIRIT

1. Fasting must be led by Spirit — Not flesh, not competition.
Matt 4:1 — Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into wilderness to be tempted.
Luke 4:1 — And Jesus being full of Holy Ghost... was led by Spirit.

Implication: True fasting starts with Spirit leading — Not announcement, not to impress. If Spirit leads, He sustains. Many fast today because pastor said, not because Spirit led — No power.

2. Fasting requires separation — Wilderness.
Jesus left crowds — Went to wilderness — No distraction. Requirement: Separation from noise, phones, feeding flesh.

3. Fasting requires Word fullness — Not just empty stomach.
Matt 4:4 — Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word.
During fasting, He defeated Satan using scriptures — It is written — Matt 4:4,7,10

Many today fast with empty Bible — Just hunger. Jesus fasted full of Word. Fasting without Word is just diet. Spirit teaches us to wear Word.

4. Result of Spirit-led fasting — Filled with POWER for victory.
Luke 4:14 — And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee.
Isa 58:6,8 — Is not this the fast that I have chosen?... Then shall thy light break forth...

When requirements obeyed — Fast breaks yokes, heals, brings power to defeat Satan. That's breakthrough.

REQUIREMENTS CHECK FOR TODAY — Do we have them?
Led by Spirit? Rom 8:14
Right motive? Matt 6:16-18 — Not to appear unto men... thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly
Humility & repentance? Joel 2:12-13 — Rend your heart... Isa 58:5-7 — Fast that God chooses loosens wickedness, feeds hungry
Accompanied by Word & prayer? Not just starving?

Few obey these — That is why fasting today has no breakthrough.

II. JESUS & PRAYER — PRAYER IN CLEAN LIFE = POWERFUL & EFFECTIVE

1. Prayer of righteous — Clean life — Powerful.
James 5:16 — The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much — Powerful and effective, ready to cause immediate effect.

Psalm 66:18 — If I regard iniquity in my heart, Lord will not hear me.
Isa 59:1-2 — Your iniquities have separated...
1 Pet 3:12 — For eyes of Lord are over righteous, and His ears open unto their prayers...

Requirement taught by Spirit: Prayer needs clean vessel.

2. What is clean life for prayer today?
Confessed & forsaken sin — 1 John 1:9, Prov 28:13
Forgiving heart — Mark 11:25-26 — When ye stand praying, forgive
Obedience — 1 John 3:22 — Whatsoever we ask, we receive, because we keep His commandments
Faith without doubting — James 1:6, Mark 11:24 — Believe that ye receive them

James says — Not just any prayer — But prayer made in clean life is powerful — Ready to cause immediate effect — That is why Elijah — man like us — prayed and heaven responded — James 5:17-18

III. WHY TODAY'S BELIEVERS FAST AND PRAY BUT NO BREAKTHROUGH?

Because:
We do form without requirements — 2 Tim 3:5 — Having form of godliness, but denying power thereof

We fast with strife, pride, social media display — Isa 58:3-4
We pray with unclean life — Anger, unforgiveness, lust, secret sin — And expect God to hear

Spirit teaches: Fasting is not to force God — It is to humble us so we hear God — Psalm 35:13 — I humbled my soul with fasting

IV. APPLICATION — HOW TO FAST & PRAY FOR BREAKTHROUGH NOW:

Ask Spirit — Should I fast? When? How long? — Rom 8:14
Set apart — Separate, shut phone, open Bible — Make it Word + prayer, not hunger strike — Matt 4:4
Cleanse life before — Repent, forgive all, conf

MORNING PRAYER 4TH SEPTEMBER 2026 FRIDAY

Heavenly Father we thank You for bringing us into another morning, thank You for preserving our lives through the night and giving us another opportunity to walk in Your purpose, we acknowledge that without Your mercy we would not be here. Lord this morning forgive us for every sin we have committed knowingly and unknowingly, forgive our words, thoughts, attitudes, disobedience and every place where we have fallen short of Your will, wash us by the blood of Jesus and create in us clean hearts and let nothing in our lives become a doorway for the enemy. Father before we step into this day take authority over our paths, let Your Spirit lead us where human wisdom cannot, give us discernment to recognize what is dangerous even when it looks attractive and wisdom to recognize what You have sent even when it comes in an unexpected form. In the name of Jesus we reject every assignment of darkness against this day, every trap prepared for us let it be exposed, every evil voice speaking confusion into our minds, be silenced and every gathering of darkness concerning our lives let it scatter by the power of God, we declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Lord preserve our families, our homes, our work, our journeys and everything connected to us, keep us from sudden tragedy, evil encounters, wrong associations and decisions that would lead us away from Your purpose. Today let divine wisdom govern our conversations, divine grace govern our actions and divine favor speak where our strength cannot, give us strength to resist temptation and courage to obey You even when obedience is uncomfortable. We declare that this day belongs to the Lord, we will not walk under fear, confusion or oppression but we will walk under grace, wisdom, protection and divine direction, let goodness locate us, let mercy surround us and let our lives bring glory to Your name. We place this entire day into Your hands, go before us and remain with us in Jesus name 🏻‍,,,blessed peaceful fruitful day ahead family may the presence of the Lord be with you and your loved ones

Amen! Absolutely true.

We are not called merely to know the truth with our minds, but to allow the truth to transform our hearts and lives. The world does not simply need more information about God—it needs a true revelation of who God is through Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not come merely to give another teaching or religion. He came to reveal the Father, destroy the works of the devil, bear the sin of humanity, and bring us back into fellowship with God.

Jesus said: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

True freedom is found not merely in knowing about the truth, but in knowing Jesus Christ, who is Himself the Truth.

Therefore, we must not remain silent. With love, humility, boldness, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are called to reveal Jesus through both our words and our lives.

May God give us spiritual understanding, courage to proclaim His truth, and love to lead others toward Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Hope of humanity, and the world needs to know Him. Amen!

THURSDAY BLESSINGS

May this Thursday carry a blessing you did not see coming. May God order your steps into places where your name has already been mentioned for good.

May the Lord silence every voice speaking limitation over your life and cause His voice to speak louder than every opposition. What has been delayed shall not be denied when God has appointed its time.

May unexpected doors open, genuine opportunities locate you, and the right people remember you. May God connect you with destiny helpers who will not exploit you, manipulate you, or compete with you, but will genuinely support what He is building in your life.

May your home experience peace, your heart receive fresh strength and your hands prosper in whatever is righteous and good. May you not labour in vain, and may the fruit of your efforts finally become visible.

This Thursday may grace speak where your strength cannot. May mercy answer where you have no explanation. May favour distinguish you where you have no connection.

Whatever belongs to you by God's purpose, may it not pass you by.
Whatever is not from God, may it not have power over you.
Whatever God has ordained for you, may no human being be able to cancel it.

Walk into today with confidence: God is still writing your story and this chapter will not end in disappointment in Jesus

Jesus did not come into this world merely to teach people how to live a better life!

Humanity was bound by sin, fear, death, and the slavery of Satan.

But then…
Jesus came!

Not to merely look at the chains—
But to break them!
Not to condemn the slaves—
But to set them free!

Luke 4:18
“…He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and to set the oppressed free.”

Jesus did not come to compromise with bondage—
He came to crush it!

He did not come to teach us how to live with fear—
He came to give us victory over fear!

He did not come to teach us how to remain in sin and merely appear religious—
He came to set us free from the power of sin!

He did not come merely to put a bandage on our wounds—
He came to restore broken hearts!

And Jesus clearly said—

John 8:36
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

No matter how deep your darkness may be, how great your bondage may be, or how many times you have fallen—
In Jesus, there is freedom for you!

Where Jesus is, there is hope.
Where Jesus is, chains are broken.
Where Jesus is, darkness flees.
And where the Son sets free—there is true, complete, and everlasting freedom!

I need You, Lord. Please bless me today.

My mind with peace.
My heart with courage.
My family with protection.

I do not know what this day will bring, but I know You are already here.

The Bible says, “The Lord bless you and keep you.” - Numbers 6:24

I need You, always.

In the beginning, God created humans in His own image.

Genesis 1:27
“God created humans in His own image.”

And now, through the Lord Jesus, we have received the right to become children of God. ‍‍‍

John 1:12
“To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

This means that although we live on this earth in human form, in Christ, we are children of God.

Galatians 3:26
“For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.”

And it is very important for us to understand this identity. Therefore, we should not live merely as ordinary human beings or according to the nature of the old Adam, but we should live and behave as children of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Ephesians 4:22–24
“Put off your old self… and put on the new self, created to be like God.”

We should live by remaining in God’s Word, loving Him, and obeying His commandments.

John 15:10
“If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love.”

1 John 5:3
“For this is the love of God: that we keep His commandments.”

This is what sets us apart from the people of this world. By living in a relationship of love and obedience with God, our lives reveal that we truly are children of God.

1 John 3:10
“This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are…”

That is why God says, “You are in this world, but you are not of this world.”

John 17:16
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.”

And in another verse, He tells us:

Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

This transformation does not happen merely through our own strength, but through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

2 Corinthians 3:18
“…we are being transformed into His image… by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Therefore, let us not live according to the nature of the old Adam, but according to the new identity we have received in Christ.

We are in this world in human bodies, but in Christ, we are children of God. Therefore, our lives should not be according to our old nature, but according to our heavenly identity.

Know your identity.
Remain in God’s Word.
Love God.
Obey His commandments.
Allow the Holy Spirit to transform you.

Because we are not merely ordinary humans of this world—we are children of God in Christ!

much as the book of 1 samuel began with the story of the barren Hannah and her child samuel, the Book of luke opens with the story of an eldery priest, Zachariah, and his barren wife, Elizabeth, who was also were blessed with the special child.
One day as Zachariah was offering incense at the temple immn jerusalem, the angle Gabriel appeared to him and promised taht Elizabeth world bear a son. Gabriel also said their son world play a crucial role in God's plan tk redeem Israel
Zachariah was skeptical. As a penalty for his lack of faith, he was unable to speak until after his sons birth[Lk 1:1-22]
After their son was born, group of friends and neighbors visited Zachariah and Elizabeth to observe the ceremony of circumcision. against custom, Elizabeth declared their son world be named by writting it on a tablet.Then "he began to speak, praising God"[vs 64 NIV]
The friends were in awe. They saw that God was at work and that He had something special in store for john, but they didn't know what.zachariah , filled with the holy spirit, prophesied about what lay ahead
God was on the verge of blessing israel in a migthy way.Over the years, the prophet had told israel about tje messiah from the line of David who God world raise up to redeem israel. Tje messiah world delivwr israel from its enemies and john was going to be part of God's plan of redemption.
