TITLE: "WALK WISELY: UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW GOD'S WILL"
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)
Ephesians 5:15–17 (KJV)" See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."
James 1:5 (KJV) "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
QUOTE TO REFLECT ON
“Wisdom is knowing God's will and having the courage to live by it.”
DAY'S REFLECTION
Paul says, “walk circumspectly”—meaning to live carefully, thoughtfully, and wisely. Life is filled with choices, and careless decisions can produce consequences that may take years to correct.
“Redeeming the time” means making good use of the opportunities God gives us. Time wasted cannot be recovered.
Paul therefore says, “understanding what the will of the Lord is.” God's will gives direction when life presents difficult choices. James adds that when we lack wisdom, we should “ask of God.”
Life experience teaches us that we do not always have enough knowledge to make the right decision. But God promises wisdom to those who sincerely ask Him.
Don't rush into decisions simply because an opportunity looks attractive. Pray, seek God's wisdom, examine His Word, and choose the path that honours Him.
