DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 257
DATE: 14TH SEPTEMBER 2026
TOPIC: FLEE TO GOD
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 46:1 (NKJV)
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Devotional message:

When life becomes heavy, many people run to distractions. Some drown themselves in sleep. Others turn to music, endless scrolling, entertainment, conversations, or other things that temporarily take their minds away from what they are going through. Some even pretend that everything is fine until their hearts become exhausted.

But peace was never meant to be found in escaping from life; true peace is found in returning to God.God Himself is our peace, and true rest is found in Him. The farther we drift from Him, the more heavily our souls can become burdened. But when we turn back to Him, humble ourselves, worship, pray, and pour out our hearts before Him, we discover that He is still our refuge.

Sometimes, one sincere moment of humbling yourself before God can begin healing a heart that years of distractions could never heal. A quiet place of prayer, worship, repentance, and fellowship with God can do something that endless entertainment cannot do—it can bring us back to the One who knows us completely.

This present world was never designed to provide complete and lasting satisfaction. Everything around us is temporary, and even the good things of this life cannot fully satisfy the deepest longing of the human soul. That longing ultimately points us to God.

Therefore, Child of God, when life becomes heavy, flee to God.When you are confused, flee to God.When you are wounded, flee to God.When you are disappointed, flee to God.When you have failed, flee to God.When you are overwhelmed, flee to God.

PRAYER

Father,Draw me closer to Yourself and remind me that You are my refuge, my peace, and my true satisfaction. In Jesus' name, Amen.
