I never liked me.
I had grown up with a lot of negative talk about myself and when you're a kid, you just believe it because these people should know, right?
But it carried into adulthood and colored every single thing in my life.
I spent most of my childhood and even adulthood wishing, praying, that I could be someone other than who I was.
Mothers, be careful what you say to your children. It sticks with them.
I was alone. I felt alone.
I felt like the mess, the worthless, defective mistake I was made to believe I was.
I didn't want to be me.
I didn't want to be at all.
But God had other plans.
He brought a beautiful, wonderful man into my life who became my best friend, my human, my love, my supporter, my cheerleader, and my pastor.
He led me to walk in the ways of Yeshua - to walk even as He walked.
And through that, I discovered that I have value.
I learned that I am not the defective disaster after all.
I don't care what anyone says.
When I went down in that water, when I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, I became a new creature.
When I was born from above, I was NOT the same person.
And I never will be again.
And NO ONE will EVER take that away from me!
I believe that you have to have the experience before you can truly understand it,
If you haven't been born from above (born again), if you haven't been baptized in the name of Yeshua, if you haven't been filled with His spirit, please, please seek that.
