Sunday Service Notes: The Power of our Spiritual Weapons

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (KJV ) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
1. The battle is Spiritual, not physical. 2 Corinthians 10:3
2 Corinthians 10:3 (KJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2. Mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4
2 Corinthians 10:4(KJV) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
3. Pull down arguments imaginations. 2 Corinthians 10:5;Romans 1:21
2 Corinthians 10:5(KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Romans 1:21(KJV) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
4. Bring every thought under the control of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5; Genesis 6:5; Proverbs 15:26; Isaiah 55:7;Philippians 4:8
2 Corinthians 10:5(KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Genesis 6:5(KJV) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Proverbs 15:26(KJV) The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Isaiah 55:7(KJV) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Philippians 4:8(KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
5. And be ready stand against anything contrary to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

6. God help us to win the battle. Ephesians 6:11; Hebrews 4:12
Ephesians 6:11(KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Hebrews 4:12(KJV) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
