Everyone who desires to be saved through the merits of Christ’s blood must understand that they have a personal responsibility in their salvation. Though only Christ can free us from the consequences of sin, we must choose to turn away from sin and live in obedience. Salvation comes through faith, not by works; however, genuine faith will always be demonstrated through a life of obedience and good works.
