When we’re going through confusing and difficult times, we need to open our hearts to Jesus and seek Him with sincerity. We must hold on, through faith, to the precious promises He has made, applying them personally to our own needs. That’s why it’s so important not to let our minds become careless or distracted. As the Psalmist said, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes” (Psalm 101:3). Worldly entertainment is not the answer. Instead, we should keep our focus on the One who is able, willing, and ready to help us through every trial. He will give us exactly the guidance and strength we need through His Holy Spirit to carry us through.
