Today, and everyday since October 22, 1844, is the great Day of Atonement, and our Advocate is standing before the Father, pleading as our Intercessor.
Instead of trying to cover ourselves with our own pride and goodness, we should come to God every day with humble hearts. We need to admit our personal sins, ask for His forgiveness, and work with Jesus to prepare our hearts to become more like Him. If we don’t enter into the heavenly sanctuary by faith and join Jesus in the work of saving our souls—taking it seriously with deep respect—we will be weighed in God’s judgment and found unfit to enter His kingdom.
This is our day of grace.
