To say that salvation’s work ended at the cross is to rob Christ of His priestly ministry in the heavenly sanctuary. The cross provided the sacrifice, but it is Christ’s active mediation — His pleading blood, His intercession, His work of cleansing and judgment — that completes the plan of redemption. Without His priesthood, the cross would offer forgiveness but not final restoration.”

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
