  • Happy Birthday to Me!

Today, I thank God for the precious gift of life.
Every year of my life is a reminder of God’s grace, mercy, and faithfulness.

I may not have everything I desire, but I am thankful for everything God has already given me. Through every joy, every difficulty, every tear, and every blessing, He has never left me.

As I begin another year of my life, my prayer is simple:
“Lord, guide my steps, strengthen my faith, use my life for Your glory, and help me become a blessing to others.”

I pray that this new year of my life will bring me closer to God, stronger in faith, and more useful in His Kingdom. May my life be a testimony of His love and grace.

Thank you, Lord, for another year of life.
All glory and honor belong to You!

    Happy Birthday to Me!

  • Father in Heaven,

Today we pray for people living with medical conditions that have changed their lives.

Strengthen those learning to live with new limitations. Give patience to people undergoing rehabilitation and courage to those beginning difficult treatments.

We pray for children with serious medical needs and parents carrying enormous emotional and financial burdens.

Give physicians wisdom and caregivers endurance.

We ask for healing according to Your will, and where healing does not come immediately, give sustaining grace and supernatural peace.

Let the church surround suffering people with genuine prayer, practical help, and faithful love.

In The Mighty Name of Jesus We Pray, Amen

  • PROVERB OF THE DAY

    (Proverbs 17)

    1. Better is a dry morsel with quietness,
Than a house full of feasting with strife.

    2. A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame,
And will share an inheritance among the brothers.

    3. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the LORD tests the hearts.

    4. An evildoer gives heed to false lips;
A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue.

    5. He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker;
He who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

    6. Children’s children are the crown of old men,
And the glory of children is their father.

    7. Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool,
Much less lying lips to a prince.

    8. A present is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor;
    Wherever he turns, he prospers.

    9. He who covers a transgression seeks love,
But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

    10. Rebuke is more effective for a wise man
Than a hundred blows on a fool.

    11. An evil man seeks only rebellion;
Therefore a cruel messenger will be sent against him.

    12. Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs,
Rather than a fool in his folly.

    13. Whoever rewards evil for good,
Evil will not depart from his house.

    14. The beginning of strife is like releasing water;
Therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts.

    15. He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just,
Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.

    16. Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom,
Since he has no heart for it?

    17. A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity.

    18. A man devoid of understanding shakes hands in a pledge,
And becomes surety for his friend.

    19. He who loves transgression loves strife,
And he who exalts his gate seeks destruction.

    20. He who has a deceitful heart finds no good,
And he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.

    21. He who begets a scoffer does so to his sorrow,
And the father of a fool has no joy.

    22. A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.

    23. A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back
To pervert the ways of justice.

    24. Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding,
But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.

    25. A foolish son is a grief to his father,
And bitterness to her who bore him.

    26. Also, to punish the righteous is not good,
Nor to strike princes for their uprightness.

    27. He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

    28. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

  • GOOD SHEPHERD MINISTRIES

    100 Bibles Distribution Project

    Project Purpose

Good Shepherd Ministries is serving children and families through Sunday School and Bible teaching. Every Sunday, we teach children about God, Jesus Christ, and the Word of God.

Our desire is not only to teach the Bible during Sunday School, but also to place the Word of God directly into the hands of people so they can read, study, pray, and grow in their relationship with God at home.

For this reason, we are planning a special 100 Bibles Distribution Project.

    Our Goal

Our goal is to provide 100 Bibles to children, families, and individuals who are connected with our ministry and who need their own copy of the Holy Bible.

We believe that giving someone a Bible can become a blessing for an entire family. Through the Word of God, people can learn about God's love, salvation, faith, hope, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

    Bible Cost

    Cost of one Bible: $18

    Number of Bibles: 100

    Bible cost calculation:

    100 Bibles × $18 = $1,800

Therefore, the total amount required for the Bibles is:

    $1,800

    Travel to Lahore

The Bibles need to be purchased from Lahore. The journey from our area to Lahore takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes each way.

We therefore also need to cover the transportation expenses for:

    - Travel from our area to Lahore
    - Return journey from Lahore
    - Transportation connected with collecting the 100 Bibles
    - Safe transportation of the Bibles back to our ministry location

Transportation cost: To be added according to the actual round-trip fare.

    Project Budget

    Item| Quantity| Cost
    Holy Bibles| 100| $1,800
Transportation to Lahore and return| 1 trip| Actual fare
    Total Bible Project| | $1,800 + transportation

    Why This Project Matters

Many people who attend our ministry do not have their own Bible. Through this project, we want to place God's Word into the hands of 100 people.

Each Bible represents an opportunity for someone to read God's Word, learn about Jesus Christ, pray, and share what they learn with their family.

Our prayer is that these 100 Bibles will not simply remain as books, but that God's Word will touch hearts, strengthen families, encourage children, and bring people closer to Jesus Christ.

    Prayer and Partnership

We kindly ask our brothers and sisters, friends, and ministry partners to pray for this project.

Please pray that God will provide everything needed to purchase and transport the 100 Bibles from Lahore.

If you feel led by God to support this project, your partnership can help us place the Bible into the hands of people who need God's Word.

    Project Goal: 100 Bibles

    Bible Cost: $1,800

    Transportation: Additional actual round-trip cost

    Total Needed: $1,800 + transportation

«“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17»

We pray that every Bible distributed through Good Shepherd Ministries will become a source of faith, hope, encouragement, and transformation.

Please pray with us and stand with us in this ministry.

May God bless everyone who supports the spreading of His Word.

  • The End for Which the Lord Came: to Give Us His Spirit
Just as in the world the soul is the life of the body, so also in the eternal and heavenly world the life of the soul is the Spirit of the Godhead.
Therefore, he, who seeks to believe and to approach to the Lord, must beg while here on earth to receive the Divine Spirit. For the Spirit is the life of the soul and on this account did the Lord come in order to give His Spirit to the soul on this earth. ... If anyone, therefore, while on this earth does not seek and has not received life for his soul, namely, the divine light of the Spirit, when he departs from this body, he is already separated into the places of darkness on the left side. He does not come into the Kingdom of Heaven. ... But the soul, that is plunged into the fire of the Spirit and in the divine light, will suffer no harm from any of the evil spirits. Even if anyone of them should come near to it, it is consumed by the heavenly fire of the Spirit.

  • The Faith of Christianity and the Faith of the Nations
There is an essential difference between the faith of Christianity and the faith of the nations, which is that according to the Gospel's proclamation, we receive nothing and inherit no heavenly or earthly gift except God Himself.
And when the Scriptures use multiple words like "eternal life," "the kingdom of heaven," and "the kingdom of God," they present the same one divine gift with multiple words for the sake of the diversity and multiplicity of understanding of the listeners and readers alike; because eternal life is in the eternal God, and our communion with Him through Christ is a communion of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of God where God reigns, and where we will be kings.
Therefore, let us not ask for anything or a gift or a grant other than God Himself; lest the gift becomes a cause of downfall; because he who reigns without God perishes, but he who reigns with God and through God inherits eternal life.

  • The Cross: Proof of the Greatest Love
Does not St. Paul on every occasion show us that the death [of Christ] is the greatest proof of his love for us? He thus says: “God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8).
Also, for this reason, does not he take pride and yearn all the more, nay, even leap for joy and flutter his wings, as it were, when he writes to the Galatians: “far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Gal 6:14)? Even Christ himself, who endured these sufferings calls them his Glory (John 17:1)!
And when he wished to show us his love, what did he mention?
His signs or miracles or wonders?
Never! He but laid his cross in the middle saying: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son” (John 3:16).
And so did St Paul say: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also gave us all things with him?” (Rom 8:32).
And when he exhorts to love, he raises this same type in the middle saying: “Love one another, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God” (cf. Eph 5:2).
_St. John Chrysostom, Homily on Divine Providence 17:1-7.

  • Baptism and Prayer
The light of Christ does not disappear from those who have received the mystery of baptism, but if they immerse themselves in evil, it becomes difficult for them to recognize it. This light is the inner intellectual perception of goodness, its love, pursuit, and adherence, and steadfastness in it. It is what moves the heart toward love, longing for God, constant clinging to the name of Jesus Christ in prayer, and love for that name which overcomes all things; for it is the most beloved name to the heavenly Father, and because it is the name spoken by the Father and the Holy Spirit. It is therefore the "Beloved" name by which we offer prayers to the Father in the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
And when we are baptized in the name of the Holy Trinity, we receive a spiritual communion with the Trinity, which makes us love prayer, strive for it, and long to exist in the Trinity; for Christ Jesus who is in us moves us toward the Father, and the Spirit who is in us moves us toward Christ, and the Father's longing for us is that longing about which our Lord Jesus Christ says: "We will come to him and make our home with him" (John 14:23).
