I learned at a young age that I can not hide from God, that is, what’s in my heart and mind. So I figured I’d just be honest and sincere with Him, not like I could fool Him! You can trust God. You can tell God what’s on your mind, that thing that is troubling you. He loves when we have confidence in Him. Don’t worry about getting your words “right”! Then there are those times when we just can’t find the words, but just come before God with a contrite heart, a sincere heart, sometimes tearfully, and just call on Him “Jesus, Father God…” and just be still and know He is God. Sometimes, those prayers with no words are the best!

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are truly amazing! The "experiences" of encountering God's presence are awe-inspiring and something we should desire and ask for. However, let us not forget that all of this is meaningless if we don't truly know Christ Jesus.

As Paul once stated, "that I may know him TASIE CHRIS CHIBUIKE and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death..." The second half of this statement may not sound as exciting, in fact, it may not sound appealing at all! But to truly know Christ is to also partake in his suffering. It's not always about the goosebumps and all the good stuff!
