DAILY LEADERSHIP BOOST (DLB) SATURDAY, 22 AUGUST 2026 THE HERESY PREACHERS OF THE LAST DAYS _“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”_ Matthew 24:24 KJV Beloved, the last days will not only be marked by scoffers. They will also be marked by deceivers. Few weeks ago a dear leader was invited to a Facebook “bible study” about the second coming. At first it sounded good. But when he asked honest questions about their claim that _“Jesus has already come secretly”_ and that _“they alone have the sealed book of Revelation”_, he was removed. That is how heresy works. It invites you in with sweet words, but it silences you the moment you bring the light of Scripture. This is not new. Paul warned Timothy, _“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”_ 2 Timothy 4:3. In the last days, heresy preachers will rise. They will speak with confidence. They will quote verses out of context. They will claim special revelation. They will say, _“Lo, here is Christ, or lo, he is there.”_ But Jesus already warned us: _“Believe it not.”_ Matthew 24:23-26. What are the marks of these heresy preachers? They deny or distort the public coming of Christ. The Bible says _“every eye shall see him.”_ Revelation 1:7. _“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”_ Matthew 24:27. Any teaching of a “secret coming” that bypasses the trumpet, the resurrection, and the clouds is false. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. They claim exclusive knowledge. _“We have the sealed book. We have the new revelation no one else has.”_ But John already closed the canon with a warning. Revelation 22:18-19. The Holy Spirit does not contradict the Word He inspired. If anyone tells you to follow them because they have secret truth, run. They cannot endure questions. Truth welcomes testing. Acts 17:11 _“These were more noble... in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”_ Heresy blocks, bans, and bullies. That is because light exposes it. John 3:20. Leaders, our job in this hour is to guard the flock. Acts 20:28-30. We must teach people how to test every spirit. 1 John 4:1. We must root our people in the Word so deeply that when error comes, they will say, _“That does not line up.”_ Do not be afraid to ask questions. Do not be intimidated out of groups. Jesus said, _“Take heed that no man deceive you.”_ Matthew 24:4. Stay in the Word. Stay in community that honors Scripture. And stay under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, not under men who claim to be the only voice of God. The real Jesus is coming. Publicly. Gloriously. With power. And He needs leaders who will not be moved by every new doctrine. Expose every false teacher and every lying spirit. Give us a hunger for Your Word and a heart that tests all things. Keep me and the people You have given me from being tossed to and fro. Teach your people the difference between truth and error using Scripture. Take 10 minutes in your next meeting to go through Matthew 24:23-27. 2. Model openness to questions. Create a safe place where people can ask, “Is this biblical?” without fear of being removed. 3. If you encounter false teaching online or offline, don’t argue endlessly. Mark it, avoid it, and warn others lovingly. Romans 16:17. Remember: The devil’s goal in the last days is not just to make you sin. It is to make you believe a lie. August 22, 2026 (day 234/365) SATURDAY GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY “Listen to Wise Counsel” 1 Kings 12:7 “If you will be a servant to this people today and serve them, and answer them and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.” This is the Word of God. When Rehoboam became king, he was given an important choice. The elders advised him to listen to the people and serve them, but he rejected their counsel and followed the advice of his young companions. His prideful decision divided the kingdom. Leadership is not about demanding that others serve us; it is about being willing to serve others. We may have authority, knowledge, or position, but we still need humble hearts that listen to wise and godly counsel. A single proud decision can damage relationships and create consequences that last for years. Therefore, we should not allow pride to silence wise voices around us. May God give us humble hearts to listen, wisdom to discern good counsel, and servant hearts that seek to bless rather than control others. Amen. He sees a day when people are drawn to God, nations seek His instruction, weapons of war are turned into tools of cultivation, and people live securely without fear. Why? Because God is reigning. Micah 4 reminds us that our ultimate hope is not found in better politics, stronger institutions, greater wealth, or humanity finally figuring everything out. Our hope is in the righteous reign of God and in Jesus Christ, the King who will make all things right. But this passage also challenges us today. If God’s kingdom is our future, then His ways should shape how we live in the present. We should seek His Word.
We should pursue peace.
We should practice justice.
We should resist fear.

The Story Behind the Hymns THE STORY BEHIND " WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE? " “Who Is on the Lord’s Side?” is a stirring Christian hymn written by Frances Ridley Havergal, the English poet, hymn writer and devotional author whose words often called believers to deeper commitment and wholehearted service to Christ. The hymn was written in 1877, during a period when Havergal was deeply involved in Christian ministry and devotional writing. Its central question is direct and searching: “Who is on the Lord’s side?” Rather than simply asking believers to identify themselves as Christians, the hymn challenges them to consider whether they are truly willing to stand with Christ and serve Him. The hymn’s inspiration is closely connected with the biblical language of choosing whom one will serve. Its message echoes Joshua’s declaration in Joshua 24:15: “Choose you this day whom ye will serve,” while also drawing on the New Testament call to follow Christ faithfully. Each verse develops the theme of surrender and allegiance. Havergal speaks of giving oneself fully to the Lord, following His leadership, enduring hardship and remaining faithful to His cause. The hymn therefore moves beyond a declaration of faith to a call for action, courage and consecration. The familiar opening asks: “Who is on the Lord’s side? Who will serve the King?” The “King” is Christ, and the question is presented as an invitation to make a deliberate choice. The hymn reminds worshippers that Christian discipleship involves more than words; it calls for a life placed at the service of God. Havergal became known for hymns that expressed personal devotion, consecration and commitment to Christ. Among her other well-known hymns are “Take My Life, and Let It Be” and “Like a River Glorious.” Her writings continue to be sung and read by Christians around the world. “Who Is on the Lord’s Side?” has endured because of its timeless challenge. Generations of Christians have sung it as a hymn of dedication, especially in worship services where believers are encouraged to renew their commitment to Christ and His work. More than a century after it was written, its question remains just as powerful: when the call to serve the King comes, where do we stand?

DAILY LEADERSHIP BOOST (DLB) FRIDAY, 21 AUGUST 2026 THE HERESY OF JESUS NOT COMING “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?” 2 Peter 3:3-4 KJV Leaders, we are living in the days Peter warned about. There is a heresy rising in our time. It is the quiet, subtle teaching that “Jesus is not really coming.” It sounds like wisdom. It sounds like patience. But it is unbelief dressed in theology. Scoffers are saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” - 2 Peter 3:4. That is the voice of the last days. It tells you to settle down. To get comfortable. To build for 50 years and forget eternity. It makes the second coming sound distant, symbolic, or unnecessary. But this heresy is dangerous because it produces sleepy Christians and careless leaders. When people stop believing Jesus is coming soon, they stop living holy. They stop preaching the gospel with urgency. They start storing up for themselves and not for God. Luke 12:45-46 “But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming... The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him.” The truth is clear. Jesus Himself promised, “Surely I come quickly.”_ Revelation 22:20. The apostles lived and died with this hope. Titus 2:13 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” The early church greeted each other with “Maranatha” — Our Lord, come. 1 Corinthians 16:22. So how do we deal with this heresy? First, anchor yourself in the Word, not in opinions: God is not slack concerning His promise. 2 Peter 3:9. The delay is mercy, so that more may repent. Don’t let mockers shake your faith. The same Bible that predicted His first coming with accuracy will be fulfilled in His second. Second, reject the spirit of the age: The world wants you to believe that everything will continue as normal. But Peter says the heavens will pass away and the elements will melt. 2 Peter 3:10. This world is not our home. We are pilgrims. Hebrews 11:13-14. Live like it. Third, preach and model the blessed hope: People follow what leaders believe. If you believe He is coming, you will live ready. You will disciple with eternity in view. You will correct sin in love because you know judgment is real. Jude 1:21 _“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Leaders, don’t let this generation be robbed of hope. Don’t let the pulpit go silent on the second coming because it is “unpopular.” The gospel without the return of Christ is half a gospel. Jesus is coming. Not as a baby in a manger, but as King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:11-16. Let us not be found among the scoffers.
