“LORD, ORDER OUR STEPS”
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm 37:23 (KJV)
Heavenly Father, we thank You for waking us up this Saturday morning and blessing us with another day. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, protection, and faithfulness throughout another week. “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed… They are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23).
Lord, today we ask You to order our steps. Direct our decisions, conversations, relationships, families, finances, careers, and ministries. Help us to trust You even when we cannot see what lies ahead. Your Word says, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:6).
Father, strengthen those who are tired, discouraged, grieving, or carrying burdens privately. Remind us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
Touch those who are sick mentally, physically, and emotionally. Bring healing, deliverance, peace, and restoration according to Your will. Strengthen caregivers and give wisdom to doctors and medical professionals.
Bless our families. Restore broken relationships, bring peace into our homes, protect our children and loved ones, and let our households declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).
Lord, provide for those seeking employment, financial increase, and open doors. We stand on Your promise: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
Father, prepare us for what is ahead. When You say move, give us courage to move. When You say wait, give us patience. When You close a door, help us trust You. When You open one, give us faith to walk through it.
Protect us throughout this weekend. “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in” (Psalm 121:8).
Today we declare: Our steps are ordered, our minds are guarded, our families are covered, our needs are supplied, and our future is in God's hands!
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

The Power of Your Words

Proverbs 18:21 (AMP):
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”

Our words carry more power than we often realize. A single sentence can encourage someone who feels broken, or it can wound a heart that was already hurting. Our words can speak life into a situation—or they can speak fear, defeat, and negativity.

God reminds us that what comes out of our mouths produces fruit. This means we should not speak carelessly. When we constantly say, “I can’t,” “Nothing will ever change,” or “I’m not good enough,” we can begin to live according to those declarations. But when we choose words that agree with God’s truth, our perspective begins to change.

This doesn't mean pretending that everything is perfect. It means that even in difficult circumstances, we choose to say, “God is with me. He is faithful. He will guide me. I may be facing a storm, but the storm does not have the final word.”

Before you speak today, ask yourself:
“What kind of fruit will these words produce?”

Let your words be instruments of healing, encouragement, faith, and love. Speak life over your family. Speak life over your future. Speak God's promises over your circumstances. And when you make a mistake, remember that you can always choose your next words differently.

Prayer
Father, help me to understand the power You have placed in my words. Teach me to speak with wisdom, grace, love, and faith. Guard my tongue when I am angry, hurt, or frustrated. Help me not to speak words of fear or defeat, but to declare Your truth over my life and the lives of those around me. May the words of my mouth bring encouragement, healing, and life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Have you ever found yourself replaying a conversation, wishing you had practiced the wisdom of listening instead of rushing to speak?

Proverbs 18:13 teaches us that "To answer before listening-that is folly and shame" (NIV). Whether we speak out of discomfort or quick assumptions, hurrying to fill silence often leads to misunderstanding and regret.

A MAN DILIGENT IN HIS BUSINESS

Diligence Can Take You Before Kings

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 22:29 (KJV) “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”

1. BE DILIGENT

Diligence means working hard, consistently and responsibly.

Don't just be gifted—be dependable.

2. PURSUE EXCELLENCE

Colossians 3:23 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord...”

Give your best even when nobody is watching.

Excellence attracts attention.

3. BE CONSISTENT

Success is built through small things done faithfully over time.

Don't work hard only when people are watching.

Consistency turns effort into achievement.

4. DEVELOP YOUR GIFT

Proverbs 18:16 (KJV) “A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

Your gift may open the door, but diligence helps you stay there.

Keep learning.
Keep improving.
Keep growing.

5. DON'T DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Do it well.

Great opportunities often begin with small responsibilities.

SHORT PRAYER

Father, give me the spirit of diligence. Help me to work faithfully, develop my gifts and pursue excellence in all I do. Let my diligence create opportunities to serve and glorify You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Summary

These verses teach us that a life devoted to righteousness, mercy, and obedience to God brings lasting blessings. Proverbs 21:21 reminds us that when we actively pursue what is right and show mercy to others, we discover true life, righteousness, and honor. God values not only what we believe, but how we live and how we treat those around us.

Psalm 112:3 shows that the blessings of a righteous life can extend into our homes and endure beyond temporary circumstances. While God’s blessings may include material provision, the greater treasure is a lasting spiritual legacy of faith, integrity, and righteousness.

Together, these verses encourage us to seek God’s ways above worldly success.

The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe.
