Love Is In the Little Things

āIt shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.ā Isaiah 65:24
I donāt know about you, but as I get older, my memory is getting less sharp. For the past couple of weeks, Iād searched for some bank checks I had ordered. I looked everywhere, and couldnāt find them. I knew Iād ordered them, and some of them had arrived, but I couldnāt find the rest.
I was planning on leaving town, so things were getting down to the wire. But I couldnāt leave without finding out what happened to my checks. So, I prayed. Lord, I know this may seem like a small thing, but I really need to find my checks. Please help me! In Jesusā name I pray, Amen.
Literally, as soon as I said āAmen,ā the phone rang. It was my friend, Dee from 3ABN. She said, āIām here at the post office and they say they have some checks for Magnify Him Publishing. Isnāt that your company? They didnāt want to send them back, but because theyāre in your companyās name, they werenāt sure they were yours.ā
I couldnāt believe it! I had just prayed about these checks, and the Lord answered my prayer immediately! What a mighty God we serve! What a faithful Father! He was showing me that He hears even the smallest requests. It was such a faith-enhancing moment! I was so taken aback by His timing. Dee just āhappenedā to be at the post office when I was praying. The postmaster just āhappenedā to ask her about my checks. As my husband, Danny would ask, āIs that coincidence, or Divine Providence?ā
To me, itās obviously Divine Providence! There is no request too small or too large for God. He is so kind. Isaiah 54:10 says, āFor the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removedā¦.ā
Never feel as though Heās too busy to hear you, or that your petition is too insignificant for Him to address. He loves each and every one of us and shows up right on time. He may not always answer immediately, and He may not say yes every time. But He will always do whatās best for His children. He shows us that love is in the little things.
