MONDAY MORNING PRAYER “THAT SETTLES IT!” Scripture: Isaiah 55:1–11 (KJV) Key Scripture: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please...” — Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) Heavenly Father, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we come before You on this Monday morning giving You glory, honor, and praise! Thank You, Lord, for waking us up to see another day and allowing us to enter another week. Before we look at our schedules, our responsibilities, our problems, or our circumstances, we look to You. You are still God. You are still faithful. Your promises are still true, and Your Word still stands! Your Word declares: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” — Isaiah 55:8 Father, when we don't understand what You are doing, help us to trust what You have said. So this Monday morning, we choose to stop arguing with what You have already spoken. We will not allow fear to have the final word. We will not allow people to have the final word. We will not allow circumstances to have the final word. We will not allow the doctor's report, the bank account, the workplace, the opposition, or yesterday's failures to have the final word. GOD, YOU HAVE THE FINAL WORD! Go before us this week, Lord. Order our steps. Guard our families. Cover our homes. Protect our children and grandchildren. Strengthen marriages. Restore relationships. Open doors that no man can shut. Provide for every need. Give wisdom for every decision. Bring peace into troubled minds and strength to weary hearts. Where there is confusion, speak peace. Where there is sickness, release healing. Where there is lack, release provision. Where there is discouragement, restore hope. Where there are closed doors, direct us to the doors You have ordained. In the mighty, powerful, undefeated name of Jesus Christ, we pray. AMEN, AMEN, AND AMEN! DECLARATION... I DECLARE that I will begin this week standing firmly on the Word of God! I will not be controlled by what I see, what I hear, or how I feel. God's Word is my final authority! His thoughts are higher than my thoughts. His ways are higher than my ways. His promises will not fail. His Word will not return void. What God has promised, He is able to perform! As Paul met with the elders from the church at Ephesus, he gave them heartfelt instructions before departing. Knowing that challenges and false teachers would arise, he urged these spiritual leaders to first watch over their own lives and then faithfully shepherd God's people. Paul reminded them that the church does not belong to any individual—it belongs to God, having been purchased through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. This powerful verse highlights the incredible value God places on His church. Every believer is treasured because Christ willingly gave His life to redeem His people. Those entrusted with spiritual leadership carry a sacred responsibility to teach God's Word faithfully, protect the flock from harmful influences, and lead by godly example. The instruction to “take heed to yourselves” is especially important. Before caring for others spiritually, we must continually examine our own walk with God. A healthy ministry begins with a heart that remains close to Christ. We cannot effectively encourage others to follow Jesus while neglecting our own relationship with Him. For believers today, this passage reminds us that whether we lead in a church, serve our family, mentor someone, or encourage fellow Christians, we are called to care for others with humility, love, and faithfulness. Because Christ gave everything for His people, we should serve one another with grateful hearts and remember the eternal value of every person He has redeemed. Reflection Questions 1. August 24 🌿 “WHO GOD IS TO ME” THE ONE WHO WALKS WITH ME 📖 Isaiah 43:2 (LLV) — “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and the flame will not consume you.” There are promises we might wish God had made. “You will never face deep water.” “You will never walk through fire.” “You will never experience anything that frightens you.” But God does not say those things. He says, “When you pass through the waters…” “When you pass through the rivers…” “When you walk through the fire…” Not if. When. Faith does not exempt us from difficult places. But neither does difficulty mean God has abandoned us. “I will be with you.” Perhaps those are the words we need most when the water begins to rise. God does not always stand on the distant shore and call, “Keep going. You'll make it.” He enters the water with us. When the river is stronger than we are, He is there. When circumstances feel overwhelming, He is there. When we find ourselves walking through something we never imagined we would face, He is there. And notice another important word: “through.” The water is not our destination. The river is not our home. The fire is not the end of our story. We pass through them. Sometimes God delivers us by removing the difficulty. Sometimes He delivers us by carrying us through it. And sometimes, only after we reach the other side, do we look back and realize how faithfully He was with us every step of the way. We may enter the water afraid. We may enter the fire wondering how we will possibly endure. But we never enter alone. The God who promised, “I will be with you,” does not leave when the road becomes difficult. That is precisely when His presence becomes most precious. A new beginning sometimes lies on the other side of deep water: I do not need a life without difficult passages; I need the assurance that God will walk through them with me. Reflection: Am I interpreting a difficult season as evidence that God has left me, or am I looking for His presence with me in the middle of it? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You never promise from a distance. When I pass through deep waters, You are with me. When circumstances threaten to overwhelm me, You remain beside me. When I must walk through the fire, help me trust Your presence more than I fear the flames. Give me courage for today's passage and faith to remember that I am only passing through. 24-08-2026 Bought With a Price 1 Corinthians 6:20 (AMP) “You were actually purchased with a price [by God]; therefore honor and glorify God with your body.” There are moments when we need to remind ourselves of whose we are. The world often tells us that our bodies, our lives, our time, and our choices belong entirely to us. But Scripture gives us a different perspective: we were purchased with a price. That price was not money, success, or anything earthly. It was the precious blood of Jesus Christ. When Jesus gave His life for us, He demonstrated the immeasurable value He placed on us. We are not accidents. We are not worthless. We are not forgotten. We belong to God. Because we have been purchased, Paul tells us to honor and glorify God with our bodies. This means that worship is not limited to singing songs on Sunday. Our worship is expressed through the way we live. What we say matters. What we watch matters. Where we go matters. How we treat others matters. How we care for ourselves matters. What we choose when nobody is watching matters. Every part of our lives can become an offering to God. Today, remember that your life carries a sacred value. You were bought with the greatest price imaginable. Therefore, don't live as though you belong to the world. Live like someone who belongs to Jesus. Before making a decision today, ask yourself: “Does this honor the One who gave everything for me?” You don't have to earn God's love—you already have it. Your response is simply to live in a way that reflects your gratitude for what Christ has done. Prayer Father, thank You for purchasing me at such a great price through Jesus Christ. Help me remember that my life belongs to You. Teach me to honor You with my body, my thoughts, my words, my choices, and my actions. May everything I do bring glory to Your name. James 4:7 (KJV) BIBLE READING: LUKE 11:24-26 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. MESSAGE: The devil has two types of captives: the willing captives and the unwilling captives. An unwilling captive is someone who has entered either willingly or unwillingly into the trap of the devil but now wants to be delivered. Such a fellow will be set free from the devil’s hold when an anointed child of God prays for him or her. A willing captive, on the other hand, is someone who also gets into the devil’s hold either willingly or unwillingly but refuses to repent or be delivered because of the perceived benefits he or she is getting by serving satan. Even if such a fellow is forcefully delivered, he or she will return to the devil’s camp, and this time around, the bondage will be much worse because the demon(s) that were previously cast out will be multiplied sevenfold (Matthew 12:43-45). Many years ago, we discovered that a witch was among us in the church. We prayed for her to be delivered; however, she remained in bondage. We then asked her if she wanted to be free, and she said, “No. Do you want me to lose the power that I use to control my husband?” Such thinking is very unfortunate because those who serve the devil are headed for eternal damnation if they do not repent. A woman whose children were dying one after the other went to seek help from a prophet because she needed him to pray to God for their protection. While waiting for him, his wife asked her why she wanted to see her husband. She explained why she had come, and the prophet’s wife gave her a kolanut to eat, telling her it would solve her problem and that she didn’t need to wait for her husband again. When she went to sleep that night, she suddenly found herself among some witches in the spirit realm. They welcomed her and promised to protect her children if she joined them. She agreed based on their promise, and after some time, it became her turn to supply the blood that the coven would drink. At that point, she surrendered her husband to be sacrificed. More time passed, and it became her turn again to supply blood. This time, however, the witches asked her to sacrifice her children. That was when she decided to seek God’s help to save her children from the devil’s plan. Thank God she came to the church, and God delivered her. Beloved, the devil offers nothing good or lasting. For everything he gives, he takes a thousandfold in return. I pray that God grants you the grace to avoid his traps, and if he currently has any hold over you and you are willing to be set free, I decree your liberty now, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, stand firm for Him. Your faith may be tested. Your obedience may cost you something. People may misunderstand you. ✝️ THE GOSPEL FROM CALVARY 📅 Monday, 24th August, 2026 🔥 COME TO JESUS AND DRINK! 💧✝️ 📜 TEXT: JOHN 7:1–53 📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” — John 7:37 (KJV)» John 7 reveals Jesus ministering in the midst of opposition, unbelief, confusion, and division. People had different opinions about Him. Some questioned His identity. Others criticized Him. Some wanted to arrest Him. Yet Jesus continued to teach and proclaim the truth. Then, on the final and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried: «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”» This was more than an invitation for physical water. Jesus was speaking to the deepest thirst of the human heart. The world cannot satisfy the soul. Only Jesus can. ❤️‍🔥 🔥 THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 7 1️⃣ COME TO JESUS WHEN YOUR SOUL IS THIRSTY. 💧 Jesus said: «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” — John 7:37» Everyone experiences a thirst that material things cannot satisfy. You may have money and still be empty. You may have friends and still feel lonely. You may have success and still lack peace. You may have possessions and still desire something more. The soul was created for God. Therefore, don't try to satisfy a spiritual thirst with worldly things. Come to Jesus. He gives peace to the troubled heart. He gives hope to the discouraged. He gives forgiveness to the sinner. He gives purpose to the lost. He gives eternal life to those who believe. ✝️ 🕊️ 2️⃣ THE HOLY SPIRIT FLOWS FROM A LIFE CONNECTED TO CHRIST. 🔥 John 7:38–39 says: «“He that believeth on me... out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”» John explains that Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit. God does not want us merely to receive His blessing; He wants His life to flow through us to others. You should not be a container that only receives. You should become a channel that gives. Receive God's love—and show it. Receive His grace—and extend it. Receive His Word—and share it. Receive His comfort—and comfort others. Receive the Gospel—and preach it. A life filled with Christ should become a blessing to others. 🌍🔥 ⚠️ 3️⃣ DON'T ALLOW PEOPLE'S OPINIONS TO KEEP YOU FROM JESUS. John 7 is filled with different opinions about Jesus. Some said He was a good man. Others said He deceived people. Some recognized that He was the Christ. Others questioned where He came from. Even among the people, there was division because of Him. This reminds us that people will always have opinions about Jesus. But your salvation cannot be based on people's opinions. You must personally know Christ. Don't reject Jesus because someone else rejected Him. Don't abandon your faith because someone mocks you. Don't compromise because you want people's approval. Know whom you believe. ❤️‍🔥 📖 SEARCH THE WORD FOR YOURSELF The people questioned Jesus' teaching because they were unfamiliar with His authority. Jesus said: «“My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.” — John 7:16» This teaches us the importance of knowing God's Word. Don't build your faith solely on what someone tells you. Study Scripture. Pray for understanding. Test what you hear. Know the truth. A believer who knows God's Word is less likely to be carried away by deception. Don't just hear the Word—search it, understand it, and live it. 📖🔥 ❤️‍🔥 JESUS CAN SATISFY WHAT THE WORLD CANNOT There is a thirst inside humanity that money cannot quench. The Samaritan woman in John 4 needed Living Water. The crowd in John 6 needed the Bread of Life. And in John 7, Jesus again offers Himself as the One who satisfies the thirsty soul. The message is consistent: JESUS IS ENOUGH. When you have Christ, you have the greatest treasure. When everything else changes, Christ remains. When people leave, Christ remains. When circumstances become difficult, Christ remains. When the world cannot answer your questions, Christ remains. Come to Jesus and drink. 💧✝️ 🔥 LET THE RIVERS FLOW THROUGH YOU Jesus did not say that the living water would remain stagnant. He said: «“Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”» A river flows. Therefore, don't keep your Christianity hidden. Let your faith be visible. Let your kindness speak. Let your character testify. Let your words carry grace. Let your life preach Christ. Someone around you may be spiritually thirsty. Your testimony may encourage them. Your prayer may strengthen them. Your invitation may bring them to church. Your witness may lead them to salvation. Let the living water flow! 🌊🔥 ✝️ JESUS WILL ALWAYS BRING A DECISION John 7 shows that people were divided because of Jesus. Some believed. Some doubted. Some opposed Him. Some wanted to arrest Him. Jesus still demands a response today. You cannot remain neutral forever. The question is not merely: “What do people say about Jesus?” The question is: “WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?” Is He your Saviour? Is He your Lord? Is He your King? Are you following Him? Are you obeying His Word? ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The world offers temporary satisfaction, but Jesus offers Living Water that becomes a river within us. Come to Him, drink deeply, and let His life flow through you. 💧🔥✝️ 🙏🏽 PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for giving us Jesus Christ, the source of Living Water. Lord Jesus, I come to You with every thirst, emptiness, weakness, and need in my heart. Fill me with Your presence and satisfy my soul with what only You can provide. Holy Spirit, work deeply within me. Let rivers of living water flow through my life. Help me not to be controlled by the opinions of people. Give me courage to stand for Christ even when others reject or misunderstand Him. Give me a deeper hunger for Your Word and greater understanding of Your truth. Use my life as a channel of Your love, grace, and Gospel. Let someone encounter Jesus because of my words, actions, and testimony. May I never look to the world for what only Christ can provide.
