THE PILGRIMS GUIDE MONDAY AUGUST 17, 2026 THE MIRACULOUS FILLINGS FROM GOD A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts." 2 Kings 3:16-17 KJV. From the context of our foundational Scripture we saw that Jehoshaphat the King of Judah, in alliance with King Jehoram of Israel, were stranded in the wilderness with their troops, who could not find any water as they prepared for war against Edom. They were afraid that severe thirst would kill them and their men even before the fight with Edom. They consulted Elisha the prophet of God who got a word from God for them. What was needed was water, it did not matter whether it will come without rain or without a river providing it. There are miraculous things that will happen for those who know how to seek God and follow His direction. God wants to instruct and direct His children. He says 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.' (Psalm 32:8 ESV). THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY AUGUST 16, 2026 STAND TILL MANIFESTATION A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1 NKJV. God has called you to a life of total freedom and liberty. He obtained your deliverance through the blood of His one and only Begotten Son, the LORD Jesus, who offered a great, vicarious, complete and thorough sacrifice that guaranteed a great life for you. The devil has lost completely in every aspect of your life. The LORD Jesus came out of the grave announcing His victory over hell and death. You need to realise and hold on to the truthful fact that the devil is not going to give up without a fight. He will do everything possible in his power to stop the manifestation of your victory. The devil will roar like a lion but he does not have what it takes to prevail. You are the winner. All you need is to develop the kind of attitude that makes winning a reality. Learn how to stand until your victory is manifested. The LORD Jesus has empowered you with all that you will ever need. Take authority over the works of the devil and claim your victory once and for all. No matter how bad it may seem, choose to stand until the battle is over. Make sure you do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. Stand strong till the manifestation of your victory. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SATURDAY AUGUST 15, 2026 THE COMMANDMENT TO LOVE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." John 15:12 NKJV. The context of our foundational Scripture lays great emphasis on the importance of love as a commandment from the LORD Jesus, and calls for a community built and dwelling on compassionate care and a pure reflection of the love of our LORD Jesus. We have a subsisting command from our LORD Jesus to love one another just as He has exemplified with His love for us. In the LORD Jesus' example, we have come to know and understand the vices genuine Christian love should never have, e.g. possessiveness, stifling and demanding, robbing the loved one of freedom. Love that is controlling is utterly counter productive. True love is releasing and communicates joy. It’s not for you to feel wanted or needed. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY AUGUST 14, 2026 STANDING IN COVENANT VICTORY A WORD FROM THE WORD: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.... ” Isaiah 54:17 NKJV. When as a believing child of God you keep walking on the path of divine covenant, you should inevitably expect opposition. But don't ever let your heart be troubled. God's Word has already guaranteed your victory. The enemy may throw tantrums, and even form weapons, but they cannot prevail against you (unless with your active faithless conivance). As a covenant child of God, no Satanic agenda against you shall see the light of the day, they will all backfire because God Himself is your Shield. Your confidence as a believing child of God should not be in the absence of battles but in the divine assurance of triumph. When God, our Father, even the Mighty One in battle, garrisons you with His fire, every arrow of darkness misses its target. No enchantment, invocation, or act of sorcery can overturn God's blessings upon you. You are divinely insured by the covenant of the Blood. If you ever feel under attack spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Just stand firm in faith and know that you are untouchable under God’s covering. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2026 SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS AND DISCERNMENT A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Having eyes do you not see...." Mark 8:18, ESV. When a man cannot see clearly the things of God as it is, he will be likened to a blind man - spiritually blind. The cause of this can be traced primarily to indifference to God's Word, spiritual laxity and lethargy among others. The man who is spiritually blind, even though he's a leader in the body of Christ, doesn't see things in their proper perspectives. Most of these 'sight problems' are manifested in the ways he handles life issues in his personal conducts and character, which rubs off on his interpersonal and leadership relationships. Nevertheless, we should always strive to strike the balance with the word of God by being sober in our relationship with, and showing them God's love, hoping to win them to the place of right standing with God. Those whom the LORD has helped, need to commit spiritually blind people into God's hands on regular basis, that is a part of the Christian's responsibility to others. This is what you received by mercy, you mustn't grow weary as an apostle in the marketplace in manifesting Christ in your place of work or business. It is a responsibility, and you're not being required by Heaven to do what has not been done before; the LORD Jesus laid an example for us when He manifested the life of the Father at every opportunity 'full of grace and truth' during His earthly ministry through His attitude and conduct.. If your faith is anchored on the hope of the resurrection after death, then you should be ready to lose out in every temporary income in order to gain the rewards of eternity with God. But if it is mainly seeking the gains of this life, then it would be difficult to have that practical relevance of quality honour to honour God in your place of work or business. You see, it is not enough to preach the LORD Jesus as that only will not yield the desired results of transforming the lives of your hearers and the people you work or relate with, it suffices when the life of Christ is evidently visible in your life - character and conduct. The primary responsibility given to you at your place of work by Heaven as a believer is to manifest the LORD Jesus Christ to those around you in everything you do. It is important that you preach Him using the Bible - (don't get that wrong), but only as a follow-up to your effective ministry of manifesting Christ with your life as a 'living tract.' Manifesting Christ with your life through the power and ministry of the Holy Spirit releases the Gospel's power of conviction, making it effective as the power of God to salvation to all who believes. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY AUGUST 9, 2026 DIVINE STRENGTH AND DEPENDENCE ON GOD A WORD FROM THE WORD: "The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory." Psalms 118:14 NLT. From the context of our anchor Scripture, the psalmist, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration reflects on how God's strength is a veritable source of courage and support in times of difficulty and trouble. So we can say, without any fear of contradiction that victory in life and life's endeavours for the true child of God comes from the LORD. Paul the apostle, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration wrote to the Church in Philippi, and to us by extension to 'Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!' (Philippians 4:4 NLT). When the Spirit of Jesus opens the eyes of your understanding, and reveals to you the plague of your own heart and your need to be strengthened by the Saviour, you cannot but come to the full understanding and reality that the arms of the flesh will always fail anyone who reposes trust and confidence on it; and then earnestly grab the opportunity to cruise on God's strength with all you have. We can say assuredly that to rejoice in the LORD always like Paul, the apostle admonished above, you must have a saving interest in Him. Just like the jailor believed and rejoiced, shouldn't you as a believing child of God rejoice likewise, having been saved from the guilt of sin, the condemnation of sin, the dominion of sin and the grave, the power of death and the vengeance of everlasting fire, etc? May God grant you strength on every side and victory, as you go out in peace and return in peace. By the strength and mercies of the LORD, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, thank You for the salvation of my soul. Romans 3:23-24 NKJV This justification by grace through faith is for as many as those who have been accepted in the beloved by the reason of the redemption made possible by the sacrificial and vicarious death of the LORD Jesus. While you endeavour to follow God’s demands upon your life, and honour Him in your actions and inactions, there are times when you will be found missing the marks of God's righteous commands and demands upon your life, and therefore fall short of His glory, and cannot be justified, but condemned by the law. God in His mercy gives you another opportunity to be reconciled to Him by faith, through the benefits of the redemption that the LORD Jesus' sacrificial and vicarious death on the execution stake at Calvary has wrought for you. You have the good option to accept this gift of redemption by grace, follow the LORD Jesus throughout your life, and become justified. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SATURDAY AUGUST 8, 2026 THE CALL TO EXCLUSIVE DEVOTION A WORD FROM THE WORD: "The ark remained at Kiriath Jearim a long time - twenty years in all. Then all the people of Israel turned back to the LORD. So Samuel said to all the Israelites, 'If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.' So the Israelites put away their Baals and Ashtoreths, and served the LORD only." 1 Samuel 7:2-4 NIV By natural inclination, the mortal man has the tendency to walk contrary to God and His ordained ways for him, only to remember Him whenever he encounters turbulent crisis. This is one of the major reasons you should readily accept God's call to translate us from the kingdom of darkness into His marvellous Light. Anyone who desires to please God and be a recipient of His ordained protection, deliverance and blessings, must as a matter of necessity put away every form of idolatry, and a stop to compromising God's righteous requirements for their life, this is because God demands exclusivity. People on regular basis like to receive the manifold blessings of God without caring or giving a hoot for the prerequisites, which could be deduced from the following: 1). Recourse To The LORD. This should be without any reservation whatsoever, half measures will not take anyone all the way on the journey of declared intention of walking with Him 2). Jettison Strange Gods. Anything or character trait that is contrary to God is a strange god and must be done away with, these includes and not limited to pride, immorality of any kind, bitterness, rancour, anger etc 3). Serve Only God. God is the only One deserving the lifting up of our hands and hearts in worship. We should serve Him willingly. He is the God of standards, and has set them forth in His Word. We can know surely that we have recoursed to Him when we take heed to His Word in obedience.
