  • The Book of Jude verse 11-13
    Yes I found this one very important to mention because we can see its sprinkles and actions being applied in the world of Christians today. These things were recorded but not many have gained a heart of wisdom after hearing them.

    He describes the sorrow that met with
    1.Cain because of allowing his flesh to control him, his jealousy led him to kill his brother Abel.
    2.Balaam because of his greed he refused to obey God's voice. As the Word says their God is their stomach, he literally used his spiritual influence not to give God Glory but for personal influence.
    3.Korah rebelled against God's-given authority. Yes he challenged the authority God had established through Moses and Aaron by rebelling and refusing God’s order..

    How many can we see behaving like Cain , Balaam, and Korakh. yes they are many..

    Warning About Them
    -.These are considered as the most dangerous people especially to dine with during fellowship meals . Yes they are called dangerous reefs that can shipwreck someone.
    -. You can imagine of shepherds who don't care for their flocks but only care about themselves. Yes they allow their flocks to be preyed to by the wolves when you see one watchful..
    -.Every man is expectant and so it is for the children who are born of the spirit. They are expected to deliver what they have been sent.. Today we are being warned of them who are like clouds blowing over the land without giving any rain.
    -.Indeed the Word says they shall be known by their fruits... Yes this is a reminder of their description again that yes they are there like trees in autumn that are doubly dead bearing nor fruits and because they are spiritually barren.

    What they are good at.
    =.As wild waves their lives are unstable, rebellious, and full of shame.
    =.As wandering stars they are misleading and without direction, leading others away from truth.
    =. As the blackest darkness their rebellion ultimately leads to God’s judgment.

    What To know
    God constantly warns us of such because in a lifetime they appear. We are living in a times where people are so reluctant to believe God's warnings. We tend to take everything like it's a story. But today I will ask you to look around, your spaces of God in nations, counties , states, communities be on guard so that you can avoid meeting up with this dangerous reed that is capable of shipwrecking you.
    Remember anything can be shipwrecked starting from your calling, marriage, families, business, children anything can.

    Prayer
    Father Lord, thank you for every Word you have revealed. We are conscious of every warning written in your Holy Word. We pray we will not be found amongst these but we be found amongst them that follows thee dearly.
    Help us to fear and listen to what the spirit says. Also remember Mercy in Jesus Christ name we pray .
    #Amen

  • Need to know.
    5 DANGEROUS WAYS YOU OPEN DOORS TO THE ENEMY, WITHOUT REALIZING IT.

    WARNING! THIS IS A BIBLICAL TEACHING.

    The Bible warns believers to be spiritually alert because we are in a spiritual battle.

    «"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." — 1 Peter 5:8»

    Satan cannot force anyone to sin, but he tempts people into habits that can pull them away from God and harden their hearts.

    1. INTOXICATION

    Anything that takes away your self-control can make you spiritually vulnerable. Whether it's alcohol or drugs, intoxication clouds judgment and can lead to other sins.

    «"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." — Ephesians 5:18»

    «"Be sober-minded; be watchful." — 1 Peter 5:8»

    God calls His people to live with clear minds and self-control.

    2. SEXUAL IMMORALITY

    God designed sex for marriage. Sexual sin damages our relationship with Him and affects both body and soul.

    «"Flee from sexual immorality." — 1 Corinthians 6:18»

    «"The two shall become one flesh." — Genesis 2:24»

    The enemy often uses lust to trap people in guilt, shame, and brokenness, but Christ offers forgiveness and freedom to those who repent.

    3. UNWHOLESOME WORDS

    Your tongue has power. Constant insults, gossip, lies, and curses can wound others and reflect what is in the heart.

    «"Death and life are in the power of the tongue." — Proverbs 18:21»

    «"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up." — Ephesians 4:29»

    As followers of Christ, our words should bring truth, grace, and encouragement.

    4. UNCONTROLLED ANGER

    Anger itself is not always sin, but uncontrolled anger can lead to hatred, violence, and bitterness.

    «"Be angry, and do not sin... do not give the devil a foothold." — Ephesians 4:26–27»

    Forgiveness and humility close the doors that bitterness tries to open.

    5. UNREPENTANT SIN

    When people continually reject God's correction and refuse to repent, their hearts become hardened.

    «"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." — 1 John 1:9»

    Jesus didn't come to condemn us but to save us. No matter how far you've fallen, His mercy is greater than your past.

    «"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." — James 4:7»

    The answer is not fear—it's repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, prayer, reading God's Word, fellowship with other believers, and daily obedience to the Holy Spirit.

    May God strengthen everyone struggling with temptation, addiction, anger, or sexual sin. May the Lord Jesus Christ break every chain, restore every broken heart, and fill you with His peace, holiness, and power. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

  • HAVING A PRAYERFUL HEART…
    Today I will begin posting prayers that you can pray for key people and situations you may be facing at the moment. Feel free to use them if you are led as well as sharing them with others. Be blessed. Prayer does change things my friends! AMEN AND AMEN!

    15 Key Things We Can Pray For The Children In Our Lives.

    Here is a personal, heartfelt prayer for the children in your life, structured around 15 foundational themes and backed by Scripture references to pray over them.

    A Prayer for the Children in Our Lives

    Heavenly Father,
    I come before You today lifting up the precious children You have entrusted to my life and care. You know them by name, You knit them together, and Your love for them far exceeds my own. I lay their lives, their futures, and their hearts at Your feet, standing on the promises of Your Word.
    1. Salvation and Faith
    Lord, above all else, I pray for their hearts. Open their eyes to Your truth at a young age. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, trusting in Him for their salvation. For you Word states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
    2. Spiritual Growth and Wisdom
    Father, Grant them wisdom beyond their years. Help them grow daily in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, loving Your Word and seeking Your guidance in every decision. You says:"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
    3. Protection from Harm and Evil
    I pray for Your divine hedge of protection around them Lord—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard them from accident, illness, temptation, and the schemes of the enemy. For you said in your Word: "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore." (Psalm 121:7–8)
    4. Godly and Wise Friendships
    Surround them with friends who encourage them, sharpen them, and walk in righteousness Lord. Protect them from unhealthy influences, and give them the courage to be a light to those around them. Again, you said in your Word Lord: "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20)
    5. Purity and Integrity
    Father God, Keep their hearts, minds, and bodies pure. Give them the strength to stand against peer pressure and societal expectations, choosing integrity even when no one is watching. Your Word states: "How can a young man keep his way pure? By taking heed according to Your word." (Psalm 119:9)
    6. Emotional Health and Peace of Mind
    Guard their minds against anxiety, fear, depression, and confusion. Lord, Fill them with the peace that surpasses understanding, and let them rest securely in their identity in Christ. I stand on your Word: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6–7)
    7. Purpose and Calling
    Unveil Your purpose for their lives. Show them the unique spiritual gifts, talents, and passions You have placed inside them, and give them the desire to use those gifts to serve You and others. I believe what you say in your Word: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)
    8. Respect and Obedience toward Authority
    Father, I ask you to Teach them by your Holy Spirit to honor their parents, teachers, leaders, and mentors. Give them a teachable spirit that receives instruction, discipline, and counsel with grace and humility. Your Word plainly states: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with promise." (Ephesians 6:1–2)
    9. A Spirit of Kindness and Compassion
    And Lord God, Fill their hearts with genuine love for others. Give them eyes to see those who are hurting or lonely, and grant them a generous, compassionate spirit that reflects Your mercy. Again I believe what your Word says: "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
    10. Resilience and Perseverance
    When trials, failures, or disappointments come, Father give them the grit and faith to bounce back. Help them understand that challenges refine their character and strengthen their hope. I stand on what is written in your Word: "We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 5:3–4)
    11. Courage and Boldness
    Make them strong and courageous in a world that often opposes Your truth. Give them the boldness to share their faith and stand up for what is right, without fear or shame. Lord God, As you Word states: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
    12. Self-Discipline and Diligence
    Father, I am trusting you to Instill in them a strong work ethic, whether in their schooling, chores, or responsibilities. Help them steward their time, resources, and bodies with discipline and self-control. Again, I stand on your Word: "Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." (Colossians 3:23)
    13. A Heart of Gratitude and Joy
    Lord, I pray that you Keep their hearts free from discontentment, envy, and entitlement. Plant a deep sense of joy in their souls and a habit of giving thanks to You in all circumstances. As your Word states: "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18)
    14. Divine Guidance for Their Future
    And Lord, I pray for their future—their education, careers, relationships, and ultimate life choices. Lead them step-by-step along the path You have ordained for them, keeping them from wrong turns. I stand on what your Word says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5–6)
    15. Godly Future Spouses and Households
    Looking ahead to the years to come, Father God I ask that You prepare the hearts of their future spouses, if it be Your will. May they build families rooted in Christ, passing down a legacy of faith for generations to come. Again I agree with what your say in your Word Lord: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)
    And in closing Father, I place these children securely in Your hands.(Name them). Work in them and through them, and grant me the grace, wisdom, and patience to love, guide, and support them as well in your sight. I trust and ask your Holy Spirit to guide me in this great and all important endeavor and I thank you and praise you for these precious young lives you have blessed me with and I give them over to your watchful eyes, love and care this day. Thank-you for hearing my prayer for them today.
    In Jesus' precious and powerful name,
    Amen.

  • A Nugget of Truth.
    The Bible warns that the last days will be marked by great deception. Jesus Himself said:

    > "For false christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." — Matthew 24:24 (KJV)

    This is not a message meant to produce fear, but a call to remain spiritually alert. We are living in a time when false teachings can sound convincing, emotions can replace truth, and popularity can be mistaken for God's approval.

    Not everyone who speaks about God speaks the truth. Not every miracle is proof of God's endorsement. Not every message that feels good is rooted in Scripture. That is why believers must test everything by the Word of God rather than by feelings, traditions, or human opinions.

    The phrase "if it were possible" reminds us that God's true people are called to remain faithful by staying grounded in His truth. The way to avoid deception is not by trusting ourselves, but by continually seeking God through His Word, prayer, and obedient faith.

    As the return of Christ draws near, don't follow the crowd—follow Christ. Don't build your faith on personalities—build it on God's unchanging Word.

    Stay watchful. Stay humble. Stay rooted in the Bible.

    "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." — Matthew 24:35

  • When we look closely at the Bible, we come to understand a profound truth about Satan. God cannot forgive him—not because God is not merciful, but because Satan’s rebellious decision was deliberate, permanent, and without repentance. Humanity is given an opportunity for grace and salvation; but the fallen angels deliberately chose to reject God and never turned back from that decision.

    Satan was originally created as a perfect angel—full of beauty, wisdom, and light. But pride arose in his heart. Isaiah 14:12–15 describes his ambitious rebellion. He said in his heart, “I will ascend to heaven… I will make myself like the Most High.” But he was cast down into the depths of darkness and separated from God’s presence. Ezekiel 28 also illustrates this—that even being created perfect is not enough to protect someone from the corruption of pride.

    The Bible clearly tells us that his end is eternal. Matthew 25:41 says that God has prepared eternal fire for Satan and his angels. Revelation 20:10 says that they will be tormented forever and ever. This is not revenge—it is the righteous consequence of a choice they made willingly and irrevocably.

    According to God’s plan, salvation is offered to humanity. Hebrews 2:16 reminds us that Jesus came to save the descendants of Abraham, not angels. Jude 1:6 tells us about the fallen angels, saying that they have been kept in bondage for judgment on the great day.

    Even today, Satan continues to oppose God. He deceives people and tempts them, and there is no sign of repentance in him. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us to be watchful and alert because of him, while Revelation 12:9 reminds us of his continual deception.

    From all of this, we learn a serious yet comforting truth: God’s mercy is real, but He respects the choices we make. Satan’s rebellion shows us the seriousness of turning away from God; but at the same time, it reveals the depth of God’s grace toward humanity.

    God’s plan is unshakable, His judgment is perfect, and His love never ends—and for those who repent and put their trust in Him, His grace is always available.
    When we look closely at the Bible, we come to understand a profound truth about Satan. • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26.
    "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)"

    ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV.

    THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’

    *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS*

    *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6.

    1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
    2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
    3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
    4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
    5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
    6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

    *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land;
    On a faraway strand
    'Tis a beautiful home of the soul;
    Built by Jesus on high
    There we never shall die
    'Tis the land where we never grow old.
    When our work here is done;
    And the life crown is won;
    And our troubles and trials are o'er;
    All our sorrow will end
    And our voices will blend
    With the loved ones who've gone on before".
    The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15).

    *1. The Admonition on Faith*

    a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*.
    b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance.

    *Question*

    Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means?

    *2. The Assurance for the Faithful*

    There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people.
    The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans'
    lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived.
    b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it.

    *Question*

    Are you excited about heaven?

    *3. The Advent of the Forerunner*

    a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very
    definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*.

    *Question*

    Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready?

    *4. The Answer to the Forgetful*

    You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven.

    *Question*

    What makes someone qualified for heaven?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it .
    2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision .
    3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world .
    4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible .

    *HEAVEN: PREPARED FOR THE PREPARED* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽🏽

    ```TEXT:JOHN 14:1-6```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (JOHN 14:2).*_

    *D. L. Moody, the famous evangelist, once said before his death, "Someday you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.*

    *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).*

    *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.*

    *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.*

    *Faith is the conduit between man and God. It is important in the life of a praying believer as the scripture confirms that without it, it is impossible to please God.*

    *"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase," submitted Martin Luther King Jr. A prayer of faith means a prayer you offer believing in His promises firmly, even when you have not seen the physical manifestation of the promise yet.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice" (1 Kings 11:9).*_
    It is not all things that glitters that is gold. God is loving, He has great plans for His children. However, no parent toils on a child who decides to disobey instructions. Solomon was a beloved child of God. He found favour with God because David his father obeyed God. Your Christian parents, pastors, teachers and elders are sent to correct you. Don't despise their correction.
    Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider.
    *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. Don't allow your worldly wisdom, pride or riches of your parents to take you to hell. Let the blood of Jesus wash you now.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23
    The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer
    O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow.
    We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus.
    We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
(1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*. *Question* Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready? *4. The Answer to the Forgetful* You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven. *Question* What makes someone qualified for heaven? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it 🙏. 2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision 🙏. 3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world 🙏. 4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible 🙏. *HYMN:* Where We Never Get Old. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 13-15. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.* *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).* *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.* *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*If your aim is heaven, look beyond this world.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *JOB 13-15*📜📜 Heaven: Prepared For The Prepared https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 137: HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST BE; GHS 138: WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN; GHS 139: BEAUTIFUL HOME!; AND GHS 20: THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna12thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [11/08, 9:24 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST, 2026``` *THE PRAYER OF FAITH* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🗣️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:JAMES 5:13-18```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (JAMES 5:15).*_ *Faith is the conduit between man and God. Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider. *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23 The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow. We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus. We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name.   • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.
    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    FRIDAY AUGUST 7, 2O26.
    "YOU CAN CARRY GOD’S PRESENCE WITH YOU (3)"
    ‘…So he is first in everything.’ Colossians 1:18 NLT
    THE ARK of the Covenant is mentioned in Scripture about 185 times, so it must be important. Every bit of activity in the outer court and inner court of the tabernacle was, for one purpose, to lead you into the Holy of Holies where God’s presence was. Old Testament symbols, such as the Ark, are a picture of New Testament realities. In this regard, the Ark, which was the most important piece of furniture in the tabernacle, is a picture of the Christ we love and serve. He is Lord. He is supreme. There’s no one like Him. And He alone is worthy of all praise! Paul writes: ‘Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him, God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before everything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is His body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So He is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to himself…’ (Colossians 1:15-20 NLT). If your faith is ‘me-centred,’ you’ll get nowhere with God. But when your faith is ‘Christ-centred,’ then everything Christ has becomes available to you!
    *THE TRAGIC END OF A PROMISING DYNASTY*
    *TEXT:* 1 CHRONICLES 10:1-15.
    1Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
    2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.
    3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.
    4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
    5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.
    6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
    7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
    8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
    9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people.
    10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.
    11 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
    12 They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
    13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
    14 And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together"_ (1 Chronicles 10:6).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    He never dreamt of becoming the first King of Israel and neither did he ever think his family will be chosen by God to be a dynasty of kings perpetually, ruling over Israel. Grace and mercy qualified him especially, because of the deep humility and fear of God in his life as at the time he was made king. King Saul began his reign with great promise. He was divinely chosen, physically impressive and empowered by God for leadership (1 Samuel 10:1, 9). Yet, his life ended in shame because of persistent disobedience, self-will and refusal to seek the Lord sincerely. The text not only shows the death of Saul, but also the collapse of a royal dynasty that could have enjoyed lasting honour. It reminds us that a good beginning does not guarantee a glorious ending. Only continual obedience, humility and dependence on God preserve a life, ministry, or family legacy. Those who think that they cannot lose whatever they receive from God, including eternal salvation, should learn from the life and end of Saul.
    *1. The Fall and Defeat of God's Giants*
    a. Saul and his sons were once regarded as the giants of Israel's military strength. They fought along with their father to win virtually all their battles except this last one. Even when they were not well prepared, God helped and strengthened them to be terrors to the nations around. *"So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them"* (1 Samuel 14:47). Victory was their birthright because of their allegiance to the God of heaven. He and his sons were giants in the hands of God. This time around, they all fell and were defeated the same day. They were not only captured, but were killed. What an avoidable tragedy that a promising and blessed first Royal family, that could have been a reference point of God's goodness and blessings, experienced. They all perished in a single day.
    b.How did they fall? It did not happen overnight. First, was the loss of focus. He allowed the enemy and jealousy to shift his attention from his divinely given responsibility to pursuing David who actually was not a threat. The deception of great position, persistence disobedience to the Word of God and the habit of taking God's warnings and Word for granted hardened his heart. The tragedy was not due merely to military weakness, but to spiritual failure that had accumulated over time. When those whom God raises fail to remain faithful, their strength cannot save them. Every believer must guard against drifting from God, regardless of past victories or present status. King Saul did not just lose his exalted blessings, but he also booked, signed and sealed he appointments to eternal condemnation in hell fire.
    *Question*
    Am I depending on past achievements or am I walking daily in humble obedience to God?
    *2. The Forceful Decimation of a Great General*
    a. King Saul ended his record as the first king in Israel who committed suicide and thus, ending his God-given life forcefully. He could have perished in the battle and still made heaven if in his final hours he decided to cry to God for mercy and forgiveness. Rather than trust God in his final crisis, Saul took his own life after asking his armour-bearer to kill him. His armour-bearer refused, and Saul fell upon his own sword. His death was quickly followed by that of his sons and many loyal servants.
    b. If Saul had not been king and he maintained his lowly lifestyle before he became king he might have made heaven. Was it his being anointed as king that made him to perish? NO. The bitterness, envy, jealousy and hatred in his heart was never dealt with. Eventually, he grew wings and became hardened in the heart. Never gloss over any filthiness in your heart. Ask God to cleanse your heart with the blood of Jesus and remove them. If they are not removed, they will turn to untamed lions in the house.
    b. A leader's fall often affects many others. Saul did not die alone. An unchecked rampaging leader will bring destruction not only to himself, but to others too. Saul's end illustrates the destructive consequences of persistent rebellion and self-reliance. The greatest safeguard in times of distress is unwavering confidence in God's mercy and guidance.
    *Question*
    Does my life and leadership encourage others toward faithfulness or can my spiritual decline harm those who follow me?
    *3. The Final Disgrace of the Graceless and the Godless*
    a. After Saul's death, Israel fled, the cities were abandoned. *"They (Israel) forsook their cities and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them"*. Do we pity these godless citizens (Israelites) for losing their inheritance, including land, to the enemies? When Saul failed to concentrate on governance, but rather left the throne to chase David, did any citizen caution him apart from Samuel. Everybody kept mum. Some out of fear and some out of desire for favour while some were just nonchallant. We should be careful to humbly and politely ensure that leaders are made accountable and helped when it appears they are derailing. Leaders need our prayers and support while they are in the path of right while they need our loving and gentle reminder of the truth whenever they are in the path of wrong. Nobody, no matter how great, has immunity from falling. Lucifer had no rival, but he fell. Judas saw, lived and dined with the Lord Jesus Christ face to face, he fell. Solomon was the wisest king, but he foolishly and fatally fell. King Saul was unfaithful to God, disobeyed His Word, consulted a medium and failed to seek the Lord. Therefore, God removed him and transferred the kingdom to David. Grace rejected eventually, gives way to disgrace. Those who neglect God's voice cannot expect His favour to remain indefinitely.
    *"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall"* (1 Corinthians 10:12).
    *Question*
    Are you watchful over your life, heart,thoughts and ambitions to make sure you don't fall?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Father, keep me faithful to You so that I will finish my race with honour and not in disgrace and let my ministry not be removed and given to another..
    2.Lord, deliver me from every form of disobedience, pride and self-confidence that leads to destruction .
    3.Help me to seek Your face continually and never turn to ungodly counsel or worldly alternatives .
    4.Let the life, family and ministry of all Your children and our leaders leave behind a legacy of faithfulness, obedience and enduring blessing, in Jesus' name .
    ```TEXT:1 CHRONICLES 10:1-14```

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it" (1 CHRONICLES 10:13).*_
    *An old adage says, "It's the end that counts, not the beginning or what's in between". The storyteller may garnish the opening and the intervening passages with the most pungent and arresting language about the main character. Yet, if the narrative closes with the tragic end of the protagonist owing to his character flaws, he would draw little sympathy. The reader of his biography wants the principal personality to end with laurels the way he started.*
    *Alas, Saul, Israel's first king, experienced a bitter conclusion, after a blazing and historic beginning. And he did not go down alone. He took along "his three sons, and all his house." The children of Israel who escaped death in the battle against the Philistines fled, allowing the enemy to take over their land. How did it all start? It began with the breach of God's express commandment. Saul disobeyed the Lord, and followed it up, not with repentance, but with more sinful conduct. Even at the point of death, he enacted the final iniquity: suicide.*
    *It is not enough for nations and their institutions of administration to seek leaders to guide them. They must look for pivotal men and women who would wholly yield themselves to the shepherding and correction of God. This is key if they want a society that would thrive, prosper and withstand challenges and upheavals of statehood. Now, this requirement holds true also in the different aspects of the workforce of the church. Otherwise, their frailties would destroy them and those they are leading, as in the case of Saul.*
    *Our Lord is the ultimate Leader. Without Him, man would be perennially on a bumpy ride, falling into a series of perilous failures. The Church should step in to halt the slide by teaching sound scriptural doctrines to raise God-fearing leaders. We must saturate everywhere with heaven-focused citizens with our preaching and righteous lifestyle. This is the only bulwark against the rise of "Sauls" whose untamed false start and godlessness would drive the entire land into the abyss.*
    John and his sister Jane lived in a one-room apartment with their parents. All they had were: two chairs, a TV set, a bed and a small refrigerator. One day, they decided to play a *"Hide and seek game".* John was to seek while Jane would hide.
    In the first attempt, Jane hid by the side of the refrigerator and she was easily found. Secondly, she tried to hide in their small bathroom where John easily found her. Then she tried the back of the small chair that hardly hid her head: her eyes and those of John were still in contact.
    Jane then looked everywhere, and in disappointment, exclaimed: *"This place is too small; I have nowhere to hide."* Yes, the whole world is too small for the eyes of God. He sees everywhere, there is nowhere to hide from Him.
    The Prophet Amos warned the children of Israel of the foolishness of their trying to hide their sins from God. Though in hell, in the firmament, even if they go into captivity, the punishment of God would follow them there, unless they repent.
    *Have you attempted to hide something from someone before? Is it so that they would not know you are a bad child? You cannot become good by hiding your sins, but by turning away from them. That is what Jesus wants you to do, and He will forgive you.*
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou Art Dialog the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. ⏤ Psalm 25:4-5
    The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history. ⏤ Andrew Murray
    O most merciful Father, who loves all Your redeemed children — we confess our many sins and shortcomings and ask You to show us Your mercy and favor. We are not worthy to be called Your children. We have strayed from Your commandments, choosing our own paths. We’ve known Your ways but have not always walked in them. We humbly confess all our wrongdoings and implore Your forgiveness.
    We long to experience more deeply the love You have for us. Help us to truly believe in this love and to understand its greatness. We are like little children, unaware of the divine love that watches over us. If we truly knew this love, we would never doubt or be afraid. We desire to feel this love that never fails and never forgets.
    Help us to be aware of Your divine care and affection throughout this day. With this awareness, nothing shall disturb us, dampen our enthusiasm, or break our peace. Cares won’t vex us, temptations won’t overpower us, and dangers won’t alarm us. Our faces will shine with the grace that lives within us.
    We ask for Your help in all our duties today, that we may do our work faithfully—without carelessness or negligence, but with diligence in all things. We pray for our friends, that they may be kept close to You in the shelter of Your love. May Your blessing be upon the sick, those near death who need to be ready when You call them, and all who are troubled, poor, grieving, or lost in sin. We ask all these things in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    FRIDAY AUGUST 7, 2O26.
    "YOU CAN CARRY GOD’S PRESENCE WITH YOU (3)"
    ‘…So he is first in everything.’ Colossians 1:18 NLT
    THE ARK of the Covenant is mentioned in Scripture about 185 times, so it must be important. Every bit of activity in the outer court and inner court of the tabernacle was, for one purpose, to lead you into the Holy of Holies where God’s presence was. Old Testament symbols, such as the Ark, are a picture of New Testament realities. In this regard, the Ark, which was the most important piece of furniture in the tabernacle, is a picture of the Christ we love and serve. He is Lord. He is supreme. There’s no one like Him. And He alone is worthy of all praise! Paul writes: ‘Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him, God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before everything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is His body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So He is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to himself…’ (Colossians 1:15-20 NLT). If your faith is ‘me-centred,’ you’ll get nowhere with God. But when your faith is ‘Christ-centred,’ then everything Christ has becomes available to you!
    FRIDAY, 7TH AUGUST, 2026.
    *THE TRAGIC END OF A PROMISING DYNASTY*
    *TEXT:* 1 CHRONICLES 10:1-15.
    1Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
    2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.
    3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.
    4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
    5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.
    6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
    7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
    8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
    9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people.
    10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.
    11 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
    12 They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
    13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
    14 And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together"_ (1 Chronicles 10:6).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    He never dreamt of becoming the first King of Israel and neither did he ever think his family will be chosen by God to be a dynasty of kings perpetually, ruling over Israel. Grace and mercy qualified him especially, because of the deep humility and fear of God in his life as at the time he was made king. King Saul began his reign with great promise. He was divinely chosen, physically impressive and empowered by God for leadership (1 Samuel 10:1, 9). Yet, his life ended in shame because of persistent disobedience, self-will and refusal to seek the Lord sincerely. The text not only shows the death of Saul, but also the collapse of a royal dynasty that could have enjoyed lasting honour. It reminds us that a good beginning does not guarantee a glorious ending. Only continual obedience, humility and dependence on God preserve a life, ministry, or family legacy. Those who think that they cannot lose whatever they receive from God, including eternal salvation, should learn from the life and end of Saul.
    *1. The Fall and Defeat of God's Giants*
    a. Saul and his sons were once regarded as the giants of Israel's military strength. They fought along with their father to win virtually all their battles except this last one. Even when they were not well prepared, God helped and strengthened them to be terrors to the nations around. *"So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them"* (1 Samuel 14:47). Victory was their birthright because of their allegiance to the God of heaven. He and his sons were giants in the hands of God. This time around, they all fell and were defeated the same day. They were not only captured, but were killed. What an avoidable tragedy that a promising and blessed first Royal family, that could have been a reference point of God's goodness and blessings, experienced. They all perished in a single day.
    b.How did they fall? It did not happen overnight. First, was the loss of focus. He allowed the enemy and jealousy to shift his attention from his divinely given responsibility to pursuing David who actually was not a threat. The deception of great position, persistence disobedience to the Word of God and the habit of taking God's warnings and Word for granted hardened his heart. The tragedy was not due merely to military weakness, but to spiritual failure that had accumulated over time. When those whom God raises fail to remain faithful, their strength cannot save them. Every believer must guard against drifting from God, regardless of past victories or present status. King Saul did not just lose his exalted blessings, but he also booked, signed and sealed he appointments to eternal condemnation in hell fire.
    *Question*
    Am I depending on past achievements or am I walking daily in humble obedience to God?
    *2. The Forceful Decimation of a Great General*
    a. King Saul ended his record as the first king in Israel who committed suicide and thus, ending his God-given life forcefully. He could have perished in the battle and still made heaven if in his final hours he decided to cry to God for mercy and forgiveness. Rather than trust God in his final crisis, Saul took his own life after asking his armour-bearer to kill him. His armour-bearer refused, and Saul fell upon his own sword. His death was quickly followed by that of his sons and many loyal servants.
    b. If Saul had not been king and he maintained his lowly lifestyle before he became king he might have made heaven. Was it his being anointed as king that made him to perish? NO. The bitterness, envy, jealousy and hatred in his heart was never dealt with. Eventually, he grew wings and became hardened in the heart. Never gloss over any filthiness in your heart. Ask God to cleanse your heart with the blood of Jesus and remove them. If they are not removed, they will turn to untamed lions in the house.
    b. A leader's fall often affects many others. Saul did not die alone. An unchecked rampaging leader will bring destruction not only to himself, but to others too. Saul's end illustrates the destructive consequences of persistent rebellion and self-reliance. The greatest safeguard in times of distress is unwavering confidence in God's mercy and guidance.
    *Question*
    Does my life and leadership encourage others toward faithfulness or can my spiritual decline harm those who follow me?
    *3. The Final Disgrace of the Graceless and the Godless*
    a. After Saul's death, Israel fled, the cities were abandoned. *"They (Israel) forsook their cities and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them"*. Do we pity these godless citizens (Israelites) for losing their inheritance, including land, to the enemies? When Saul failed to concentrate on governance, but rather left the throne to chase David, did any citizen caution him apart from Samuel. Everybody kept mum. Some out of fear and some out of desire for favour while some were just nonchallant. We should be careful to humbly and politely ensure that leaders are made accountable and helped when it appears they are derailing. Leaders need our prayers and support while they are in the path of right while they need our loving and gentle reminder of the truth whenever they are in the path of wrong. Nobody, no matter how great, has immunity from falling. Lucifer had no rival, but he fell. Judas saw, lived and dined with the Lord Jesus Christ face to face, he fell. Solomon was the wisest king, but he foolishly and fatally fell. King Saul was unfaithful to God, disobeyed His Word, consulted a medium and failed to seek the Lord. Therefore, God removed him and transferred the kingdom to David. Grace rejected eventually, gives way to disgrace. Those who neglect God's voice cannot expect His favour to remain indefinitely.
    *"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall"* (1 Corinthians 10:12).
    *Question*
    Are you watchful over your life, heart,thoughts and ambitions to make sure you don't fall?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Father, keep me faithful to You so that I will finish my race with honour and not in disgrace and let my ministry not be removed and given to another..
    2.Lord, deliver me from every form of disobedience, pride and self-confidence that leads to destruction .
    3.Help me to seek Your face continually and never turn to ungodly counsel or worldly alternatives .
    4.Let the life, family and ministry of all Your children and our leaders leave behind a legacy of faithfulness, obedience and enduring blessing, in Jesus' name .
    ```TEXT:1 CHRONICLES 10:1-14```

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it" (1 CHRONICLES 10:13).*_
    *An old adage says, "It's the end that counts, not the beginning or what's in between". The storyteller may garnish the opening and the intervening passages with the most pungent and arresting language about the main character. Yet, if the narrative closes with the tragic end of the protagonist owing to his character flaws, he would draw little sympathy. The reader of his biography wants the principal personality to end with laurels the way he started.*
    *Alas, Saul, Israel's first king, experienced a bitter conclusion, after a blazing and historic beginning. And he did not go down alone. He took along "his three sons, and all his house." The children of Israel who escaped death in the battle against the Philistines fled, allowing the enemy to take over their land. How did it all start? It began with the breach of God's express commandment. Saul disobeyed the Lord, and followed it up, not with repentance, but with more sinful conduct. Even at the point of death, he enacted the final iniquity: suicide.*
    *It is not enough for nations and their institutions of administration to seek leaders to guide them. They must look for pivotal men and women who would wholly yield themselves to the shepherding and correction of God. This is key if they want a society that would thrive, prosper and withstand challenges and upheavals of statehood. Now, this requirement holds true also in the different aspects of the workforce of the church. Otherwise, their frailties would destroy them and those they are leading, as in the case of Saul.*
    *Our Lord is the ultimate Leader. Without Him, man would be perennially on a bumpy ride, falling into a series of perilous failures. The Church should step in to halt the slide by teaching sound scriptural doctrines to raise God-fearing leaders. We must saturate everywhere with heaven-focused citizens with our preaching and righteous lifestyle. This is the only bulwark against the rise of "Sauls" whose untamed false start and godlessness would drive the entire land into the abyss.*
    *In our society, there are many youths that are consumed by the burning desire of temporary pleasures that can damn their souls. They do not think about the implications of their actions which have future and eternal consequences.*
    John and his sister Jane lived in a one-room apartment with their parents. All they had were: two chairs, a TV set, a bed and a small refrigerator. One day, they decided to play a *"Hide and seek game".* John was to seek while Jane would hide.
    In the first attempt, Jane hid by the side of the refrigerator and she was easily found. Secondly, she tried to hide in their small bathroom where John easily found her. Then she tried the back of the small chair that hardly hid her head: her eyes and those of John were still in contact.
    Jane then looked everywhere, and in disappointment, exclaimed: *"This place is too small; I have nowhere to hide."* Yes, the whole world is too small for the eyes of God. He sees everywhere, there is nowhere to hide from Him.
    The Prophet Amos warned the children of Israel of the foolishness of their trying to hide their sins from God. Though in hell, in the firmament, even if they go into captivity, the punishment of God would follow them there, unless they repent.
    *Have you attempted to hide something from someone before? Is it so that they would not know you are a bad child? You cannot become good by hiding your sins, but by turning away from them. That is what Jesus wants you to do, and He will forgive you.*
When Saul failed to concentrate on governance, but rather left the throne to chase David, did any citizen caution him apart from Samuel. Everybody kept mum. Some out of fear and some out of desire for favour while some were just nonchallant. We should be careful to humbly and politely ensure that leaders are made accountable and helped when it appears they are derailing. Leaders need our prayers and support while they are in the path of right while they need our loving and gentle reminder of the truth whenever they are in the path of wrong. Nobody, no matter how great, has immunity from falling. Lucifer had no rival, but he fell. Judas saw, lived and dined with the Lord Jesus Christ face to face, he fell. Solomon was the wisest king, but he foolishly and fatally fell. King Saul was unfaithful to God, disobeyed His Word, consulted a medium and failed to seek the Lord. Therefore, God removed him and transferred the kingdom to David. Grace rejected eventually, gives way to disgrace. Those who neglect God's voice cannot expect His favour to remain indefinitely. *"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall"* (1 Corinthians 10:12). *Question* Are you watchful over your life, heart,thoughts and ambitions to make sure you don't fall? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, keep me faithful to You so that I will finish my race with honour and not in disgrace and let my ministry not be removed and given to another.🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from every form of disobedience, pride and self-confidence that leads to destruction 🙏. 3.Help me to seek Your face continually and never turn to ungodly counsel or worldly alternatives 🙏. 4.Let the life, family and ministry of all Your children and our leaders leave behind a legacy of faithfulness, obedience and enduring blessing, in Jesus' name 🙏. *HYMN:* O brother Life's Journey beginning *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOHN 16-18. MD.i. 😀🌺🌹🎁🎀💝 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY FRIDAY AUGUST 7, 2O26. "YOU CAN CARRY GOD’S PRESENCE WITH YOU (3)" ‘…So he is first in everything.’ Colossians 1:18 NLT THE ARK of the Covenant is mentioned in Scripture about 185 times, so it must be important. Every bit of activity in the outer court and inner court of the tabernacle was, for one purpose, to lead you into the Holy of Holies where God’s presence was. Old Testament symbols, such as the Ark, are a picture of New Testament realities. In this regard, the Ark, which was the most important piece of furniture in the tabernacle, is a picture of the Christ we love and serve. He is Lord. He is supreme. There’s no one like Him. And He alone is worthy of all praise! Paul writes: ‘Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him, God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before everything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is His body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So He is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to himself…’ (Colossians 1:15-20 NLT). If your faith is ‘me-centred,’ you’ll get nowhere with God. But when your faith is ‘Christ-centred,’ then everything Christ has becomes available to you! [06/08, 11:32 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* FRIDAY, 7TH AUGUST, 2026. *THE TRAGIC END OF A PROMISING DYNASTY* *TEXT:* 1 CHRONICLES 10:1-15. 1Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. 2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul. 3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers. 4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died. 6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together. 7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them. 8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa. 9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people. 10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon. 11 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul, 12 They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days. 13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; 14 And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse. *Timeless Truth:*_"So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together"_ (1 Chronicles 10:6). *INTRODUCTION* He never dreamt of becoming the first King of Israel and neither did he ever think his family will be chosen by God to be a dynasty of kings perpetually, ruling over Israel. Grace and mercy qualified him especially, because of the deep humility and fear of God in his life as at the time he was made king. King Saul began his reign with great promise. He was divinely chosen, physically impressive and empowered by God for leadership (1 Samuel 10:1, 9). Yet, his life ended in shame because of persistent disobedience, self-will and refusal to seek the Lord sincerely. The text not only shows the death of Saul, but also the collapse of a royal dynasty that could have enjoyed lasting honour. It reminds us that a good beginning does not guarantee a glorious ending. Only continual obedience, humility and dependence on God preserve a life, ministry, or family legacy. Those who think that they cannot lose whatever they receive from God, including eternal salvation, should learn from the life and end of Saul. *1. The Fall and Defeat of God's Giants* a. Saul and his sons were once regarded as the giants of Israel's military strength. They fought along with their father to win virtually all their battles except this last one. Even when they were not well prepared, God helped and strengthened them to be terrors to the nations around. *"So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them"* (1 Samuel 14:47). Victory was their birthright because of their allegiance to the God of heaven. He and his sons were giants in the hands of God. This time around, they all fell and were defeated the same day. They were not only captured, but were killed. What an avoidable tragedy that a promising and blessed first Royal family, that could have been a reference point of God's goodness and blessings, experienced. They all perished in a single day. b.How did they fall? It did not happen overnight. First, was the loss of focus. He allowed the enemy and jealousy to shift his attention from his divinely given responsibility to pursuing David who actually was not a threat. The deception of great position, persistence disobedience to the Word of God and the habit of taking God's warnings and Word for granted hardened his heart. The tragedy was not due merely to military weakness, but to spiritual failure that had accumulated over time. When those whom God raises fail to remain faithful, their strength cannot save them. Every believer must guard against drifting from God, regardless of past victories or present status. King Saul did not just lose his exalted blessings, but he also booked, signed and sealed he appointments to eternal condemnation in hell fire. *Question* Am I depending on past achievements or am I walking daily in humble obedience to God? *2. The Forceful Decimation of a Great General* a. King Saul ended his record as the first king in Israel who committed suicide and thus, ending his God-given life forcefully. He could have perished in the battle and still made heaven if in his final hours he decided to cry to God for mercy and forgiveness. Rather than trust God in his final crisis, Saul took his own life after asking his armour-bearer to kill him. His armour-bearer refused, and Saul fell upon his own sword. His death was quickly followed by that of his sons and many loyal servants. b. If Saul had not been king and he maintained his lowly lifestyle before he became king he might have made heaven. Was it his being anointed as king that made him to perish? NO. The bitterness, envy, jealousy and hatred in his heart was never dealt with. Eventually, he grew wings and became hardened in the heart. Never gloss over any filthiness in your heart. Ask God to cleanse your heart with the blood of Jesus and remove them. If they are not removed, they will turn to untamed lions in the house. b. A leader's fall often affects many others. Saul did not die alone. An unchecked rampaging leader will bring destruction not only to himself, but to others too. Saul's end illustrates the destructive consequences of persistent rebellion and self-reliance. The greatest safeguard in times of distress is unwavering confidence in God's mercy and guidance. *Question* Does my life and leadership encourage others toward faithfulness or can my spiritual decline harm those who follow me? *3. The Final Disgrace of the Graceless and the Godless* a. After Saul's death, Israel fled, the cities were abandoned. *"They (Israel) forsook their cities and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them"*. Do we pity these godless citizens (Israelites) for losing their inheritance, including land, to the enemies? When Saul failed to concentrate on governance, but rather left the throne to chase David, did any citizen caution him apart from Samuel. Everybody kept mum. Some out of fear and some out of desire for favour while some were just nonchallant.
