• THROWBACK THURSDAY - In 2014, I attended an outreach in St. Paul that featured two deejays. I already met Matthew John Bentley the previous year at the Future Sound of Worship gathering near Detroit, Michigan. I’ve since encountered Ben Krey at other events. Like these two men, I’ve deejayed playing Christian EDM, but mainly at house parties. God can use any genre of music as long as it glorifies Him instead of sin. The Bible says many times, “Sing to the Lord a new song.”

  • The Advent Truth
Some young ladies in California say that "God" told them to open a "Christian Nightclub" (A Christian Nightclub) RIGHT!!!!

One of the great sins condemned throughout Scripture is the attempt to blur the line between the holy and the common.

God has always called His people to be separate—not isolated from the world, but different from it.

After the death of Nadab and Abihu, who offered “strange fire” before the Lord, God explained the issue plainly:

“And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean” (Leviticus 10:10).

Notice that God’s concern was not merely avoiding outright evil. His concern was maintaining the distinction between what He has sanctified and what is common.

Yet today, many are attempting to erase that distinction.

The world’s music is baptized and called “Christian.” The world’s entertainment is repackaged and called “ministry.” Nightclub atmospheres become “worship experiences.” Rock concerts become church services. EDM, rap, and other worldly forms are relabeled with Christian lyrics and presented as holy.

But does changing the words change the spirit?

The priests in Ezekiel’s day had the same problem. God rebuked them because they had failed to teach the people the difference between the sacred and the common:

“And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean” (Ezekiel 44:23).

    Earlier, God declared:

“Her priests have violated my law… and have put no difference between the holy and profane” (Ezekiel 22:26).

    That was the charge.

They had mixed the sacred with the common until the distinction disappeared.

The enemy has always preferred mixture over outright opposition. If he cannot get the church to become the world completely, he will settle for making the church look, sound, and act like the world while still using the name of Jesus.

The result is a generation that can recognize the latest trends but struggles to recognize the voice of God.

God is still calling His people to discernment. He is still asking us to distinguish between holy and common, sacred and secular, clean and unclean.

Prophetic Current-Event Deep Dive: From Pope Leo to the Modern “DJ Priest” — Rome’s Old Strategy in New Clothingg

The world is watching a surprising blend of ancient papal authority and modern entertainment-driven spirituality. But for the student of prophecy, none of this is accidental. The Spirit of Prophecy describes a steady, calculated progression—from doctrinal dominance to cultural captivation—all pointing toward the final “wonder after the beast” era (Revelation 13:3).

Tonight, let’s step back and look at the prophetic pattern.

    1. Pope Leo’s Blueprint: Authority, Unity & The Church Above Nations

Among the popes named Leo, two stand out prophetically—Leo I and Leo XIII. Despite the centuries between them, both advanced the same core agenda:

    A. Leo I (440–461 AD): The Rise of Papal Supremacy
    • Argued that full authority was given to the Bishop of Rome through Peter.
    • Claimed the church—and especially the papacy—held the power to define doctrine for all.
    • Laid the foundation for Rome’s political-religious throne.

    B. Leo XIII (1878–1903): Global Influence & Modern Outreach
    • Asserted the church’s right to guide nations, legislation, education, and the social order.
    • Wrote encyclicals claiming Rome must be the moral voice of the world.
    • Championed the idea that society must return to papal governance for true peace.

These teachings match the prophetic portrayal in Daniel 7:8, 25 and Revelation 13:2—where the little horn/beast gains global attention, moral authority, and civil influence.

    Ellen White warned:

“The papacy is just what prophecy declared she would be… She is employing every device to extend her influence.”
    —The Great Controversy, p. 565

This “every device” once meant councils, decrees, and political alliances.

Today, it increasingly includes music, entertainment, and cultural movements.

    2. The Modern Shift: From Papal Decrees to Papal DJs

Enter the modern “DJ priest,” nightclub-style outreach, EDM-based worship events, and youth-driven Catholic festivals. Rome has adapted its methods while keeping its mission unchanged.

    This new approach includes:
    • High-energy Catholic rave events
    • Priests mixing club music with liturgy
    • Pop-culture-based evangelism
    • Emotional worship experiences that bypass Bible testing

This fulfills a specific prophetic warning:

“The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise… to have a carnival, and this is called the Holy Spirit’s working.”
    —Selected Messages 2, p. 36

Emotion replaces truth. Experience replaces doctrine. Unity replaces conviction.

Yet behind the flashy exterior is the same agenda Leo I and Leo XIII articulated:

Centralize influence. Capture the masses. Prepare the world for Rome’s leadership.

    The method changed.
    The mission did not.

    3. Why This Matters Prophetically

    Revelation 13 shows a two-step strategy:
    1. Admiration of the Beast (cultural influence, emotional attraction).
    2. Obedience to the Beast (religious submission backed by civil power).

Rome knows what Ellen White stated plainly:

People are more easily led by what they feel than by what they know.

    Therefore:
If doctrine can’t win the youth, entertainment will.

But the end goal—global spiritual authority—remains exactly what Pope Leo envisioned.

FOOTNOTES — Bible & SOP Study: The Rise of the Papal Sea-Beast (Revelation 13)

    1. Begins as a Church
    • “A beast… out of the sea” (Rev. 13:1) — rising among peoples and nations.
    • Echoes the historical rise of the church of Rome from the crumbling Roman Empire.

    2. Gains Civil Power
    • “The dragon gave him his power, seat, and authority” (Rev. 13:2).
    • Historically fulfilled as papal Rome inherited authority from pagan Rome.

    3. Speaks Great Things
    • “He shall speak great words against the Most High” (Dan. 7:25).
    • Doctrines of papal infallibility, supremacy, and tradition above Scripture.

    4. Wounds and Heals
    • “His deadly wound was healed” (Rev. 13:3).
    • Loss of civil power in 1798… regaining world influence today.

    5. World Wonder
    • “All the world wondered after the beast” (Rev. 13:3).
    • Global admiration, celebrity popes, and cultural outreach matching today’s entertainment-driven Catholic revival.

    Ellen White:
“Protestants will stretch their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power.”
    —GC 588

We are witnessing the cultural foundation of that prophecy right now.

APPENDIX — The Three Angels’ Messages vs. Catholic Modernization

    1. First Angel: “Fear God… and worship Him that made”

    Versus:
Entertainment-driven religiosity that exalts emotional experience over reverence.

    2. Second Angel: “Babylon is fallen”

    Versus:
Ecumenical unity movements that blur doctrinal distinctions.

    3. Third Angel: Warning Against the Beast, Image, and Mark

    Versus:
Global push toward Rome’s moral authority and Sunday centrality—marketed through culture, music, festivals, and “unity gatherings.”

Rome’s modernization aims to make the beast lovable
so the world will later find obedience reasonable.

But God calls His people to stand apart, discerning the difference between gospel worship and entertainment spirituality.
