Solomon's mother was informed of the development, so she went to David and reminded him that he had promised that her son would succeed him as king. That same day, Solomon was crowned king meaning that Israel had three kings on that fateful day: David, Solomon, and the son who decided to make himself king. Solomon might not even have been aware of the events that led to his coronation; however, because his mother rose and entreated the king on his behalf, he was crowned king. There are certain things that children might miss if their parents don't rise to pray for them. A child may not know his or her left from right and may not even be qualified for an exalted position; however, his or her parents' prayers can elevate that child into that position. The authority that parents have over their children, both naturally and spiritually, is great, and they must learn to use it effectively. Any parent who does not pray for his or her child is like a mother hen who watches as a hawk carries her chick away, leaving the chick to fight for itself. The chick lacks sufficient strength to fight a hawk; however, if its mother joins in the fight, it would have a better chance of being saved. If you are a parent, do not keep quiet over your children's destiny so that the devil will not tamper with it. Cry out to God to show your children mercy early in their lives. In Psalm 90:14, Moses prayed that God should satisfy him and the children of Israel early with His mercy so that they would rejoice and be glad all the days of their lives. He knew that the secret to lasting joy and gladness was to start enjoying God's mercy early in life. Beloved, if you are a parent, do not neglect your spiritual responsibility over your children. Like Moses, ask God to show your children His mercy early in their lives. Let your prayers position them for opportunities early in life. Psalm 89:34 READ: Genesis 17:1-8 1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. MESSAGE: In today's Bible reading, God made a covenant with Abram and promised to make him a father of many nations, then changed his name to Abraham. God never lies, so all the promises that He made to Abraham were fulfilled. Numbers 23:19 says: "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" When God makes a covenant with a person, He always fulfils His part, and this gives the fellow access to everything he or she will ever need on earth. These things include long life, prosperity, favour, blessings, joy, peace, divine health, and everything good. The devil, on the other hand, is unable to keep any covenant he makes. He breaks his promises at will because he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). People often enter into covenants with other parties to receive something from them, while also giving something in return. The real weight of a covenant, however, comes when one of the parties involved is unable to fulfil their obligations. In most cases, a heavy weight of death is the consequence for breaking a covenant. When people join secret societies, they enter into covenants. When they do not do the things they are asked to do in the group, the penalty is usually death. You might be asking yourself, "Why would anybody want to join a cult knowing that it could lead to their death?" Some people claim that they join secret societies because they need protection, while others say that it is for prosperity and other benefits. It is important to note that the devil lures them into such societies with the promise of those things, but in return, he takes their souls and destroys them. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Matthew 16:26)? A soul is too heavy a weight for anyone to surrender to the devil. Beloved, do not allow the devil to tempt you into establishing an evil covenant with empty promises, and if you have entered into any covenant with hell and signed a pact with satan, Jesus can set you free if you run to Him. He will not cast away anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). I pray that the Lord will establish His covenant of peace with you and your household, in Jesus' name. For example, if you are driving a Car with a tank full of petrol from Lagos, which is in South West Nigeria, to somewhere in Northern Nigeria, you will need to refuel your car at some point during the course of your journey. However, if you were only going to Ibadan, which is also a city in the South West of Nigeria, you wouldn't need to stop on your way to buy more petrol. Anyone who wants to go far in life must invest resources that include holiness, hard work, knowledge, and good interpersonal skills in his or her life, while avoiding unproductive habits such as binge-watching movies, scrolling aimlessly on social media, wild partying, and the like. Discipline is required to go far in life. I recall when I was a child, my mother would compel me to stay indoors and study while my friends were outdoors playing football. I used to complain a lot about it, but she insisted until it became a part of me. One time, I was at my uncle's place, where a masquerade show was taking place on the street, and everyone was outside watching the show except me. My uncle came to me and asked why I didn't go outside to watch the show, and I responded, "The fellow everyone will watch someday does not sit around watching shows." Many years later, when God had lifted me, he reminded me of that day and said, "Today, the whole world is watching you." Beloved, what you invest in yourself is what will determine your height in life. While the other captives in the king of Babylon's palace were busy dining and feasting on the king's delicacies, Daniel and his three counterparts focused on consecrating themselves to the Lord (Daniel 1:3-12). I believe that they were not the only Jews in the king's palace at that time, but they were the only ones who went on to do exploits because they invested the right resources in themselves. Child of God, if you have big dreams that you want to see come to pass, then you must pay the price to invest in yourself. You must also let go of unnecessary weights, Such as laziness and a lack of self-control, as well as impurities like sin, which can hinder you from fulfilling God's plans for your life. Three Angels Broadcasting Network Devotional. Living on the Edge By Kevin Hart August 11th, 2026 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 The shouts ran through the camp like wildfire, “The spies are back! The spies are back!” The Israelites were camped in the wilderness of Paran, just outside the Promised Land which God had described to Moses as “a good and large land…flowing with milk and honey.” Exodus 3:8. Twelve men had been sent to spy out the land—the strength of the people, their dwellings and strongholds, their soil, and their timber. Anticipation ran high for 40 days, and now they were back with pomegranates, figs, and a giant cluster of grapes! Can you imagine the look on the children’s faces? The spies were excited. “We went to the land where you sent us,” they said. “It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.” Numbers 13:27. Time seemed to stand still as everyone pondered the prospects of a new life. Then suddenly, like a gong, someone said the word “nevertheless,” and the bliss was broken as ten of the twelve spies drew their attention to the obstacles. “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants,” they added, “and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants… and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Number 13:32–33. Swiftly, by their report, those ten men managed to sway over 500,000 people to distrust their God who had brought them out of Egypt! One man, however, hadn’t lost sight of the promise. Caleb, the leader of the tribe of Judah “quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.’” Numbers 13:30. It was called the Land of Promise because it was exactly that—the land promised by God. Entrance to it depended on their trust in God’s promise. Here was the great issue that has always been at the core of our human experience: Trust in man, or trust in God. Would they depend on their own strength? Or would they depend on His strength and promise? Their response would decide their future. Today, we are also on the edge of the Promised Land. Global warming, the world economy, crime, disease, natural disasters—all these signs point to the fact that a huge crisis is coming. But so is our Lord! God’s Word has not left us ignorant concerning the challenges that lie ahead. The Bible says, “And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation….” Daniel 12:1. Our great challenge will simply be to trust and obey. Do we enter daily life clothed in works of righteousness we have done? Or is our strength in the Lord and in the power of His might? (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 6:10.) Only two of those 12 spies were allowed to enter into Canaan—Caleb and Joshua—for the Lord was grieved with that generation (Psalm 95:10). But I’m so glad to know there will be many more who will enter into glory, for the Apostle John says, “I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” Revelation 7:9. We are not called to view the future through the stained glass of human experience, but to keep our eyes on Jesus, “the author and finisher of our faith.” Hebrews 12:2.

MESSAGE The farther you want to go in life, the more you must invest in yourself. For example, if you are driving a Car with a tank full of petrol from Lagos, which is in South West Nigeria, to somewhere in Northern Nigeria, you will need to refuel your car at some point during the course of your journey. However, if you were only going to Ibadan, which is also a city in the South West of Nigeria, you wouldn't need to stop on your way to buy more petrol. Anyone who wants to go far in life must invest resources that include holiness, hard work, knowledge, and good interpersonal skills in his or her life, while avoiding unproductive habits such as binge-watching movies, scrolling aimlessly on social media, wild partying, and the like. Discipline is required to go far in life. I recall when I was a child, my mother would compel me to stay indoors and study while my friends were outdoors playing football. I used to complain a lot about it, but she insisted until it became a part of me. One time, I was at my uncle's place, where a masquerade show was taking place on the street, and everyone was outside watching the show except me. My uncle came to me and asked why I didn't go outside to watch the show, and I responded, "The fellow everyone will watch someday does not sit around watching shows." Many years later, when God had lifted me, he reminded me of that day and said, "Today, the whole world is watching you." Beloved, what you invest in yourself is what will determine your height in life. While the other captives in the king of Babylon's palace were busy dining and feasting on the king's delicacies, Daniel and his three counterparts focused on consecrating themselves to the Lord (Daniel 1:3-12). I believe that they were not the only Jews in the king's palace at that time, but they were the only ones who went on to do exploits because they invested the right resources in themselves. Child of God, if you have big dreams that you want to see come to pass, then you must pay the price to invest in yourself. You must also let go of unnecessary weights, Such as laziness and a lack of self-control, as well as impurities like sin, which can hinder you from fulfilling God's plans for your life. C`MON YOU`VE GOT THIS "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1: 8-9 NIV, emphasis mine) The time for the Israelites to cross the Jordan River and take possession of the Promised Land had come. Joshua, following the death of Moses, was now the leader of Israel. As the Lord had been with Moses, He promised to be with Joshua. He exhorts Joshua multiple times to “be strong and courageous,” and to meditate consistently on the Book of the Law. Joshua takes the message to heart and commands his officers to prepare the Israelites to cross into Canaan. He also reminds the men of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh of the promise they made. These tribes had requested for their allotments of land to be on this side of the Jordan; yet they made a covenant to cross with the Israelites and conquer their enemies before returning to their families who would stay behind. Once reminded, their reply to Joshua was one I don’t think I ever took note of before. They promised to support Joshua the same way they had supported Moses, saying: "Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey it, whatever you may command them, will be put to death. Only be strong and courageous!” (Joshua 1:18, emphasis mine) Did you catch it? They spoke over Joshua the same thing that Yahweh had spoken over him, to “be strong and courageous.” In other words, “C’mon, you’ve got this!” God’s desire was that Joshua be filled with confidence to lead Israel to conquer the land He had promised them. It is interesting that God made sure their response was recorded – He could have simply included what He said to Joshua, and that would have been more than enough. After all, if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) Yet God saw it as important that their encouragement to Joshua be included in the Scriptures. Why? He delights in using others to be the voice of encouragement that we need to hear! We are all part of His body, and together we are stronger—we can go farther. While recognizing God’s voice through the Word and time in prayer is essential, many times He is also speaking through those around us. May our hearts be sensitive to His Spirit today to recognize when He is communicating to us this way! God bless you!

You must never trade it for anything, no matter how enticing it may appear. Beloved, your legacy will include the name you will leave behind after you exit the earth. While King Hezekiah was a good king, he left a bad legacy for his descendants. In (2 Kings 20:1-11), the king of Babylon sent emissaries to check on him, and he foolishly showed them all the treasures in his house and kingdom. His actions exposed his kingdom and consequently his descendants to the enemy. When Isaiah told him that the consequence of his foolish actions would be the captivity of his children and that all the treasures of his land would be carted away by the king of Babylon, he replied, "Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?" Surprisingly, he was okay with the captivity not happening in his time, but in the days of his children. His actions were clearly unwise. Hezekiah sold his legacy just because he wanted to display his wealth. His descendants would always remember him as the one who exposed them to the enemy and made them lose the kingdom. Today's memory verse tells us that a good man will leave an inheritance for his children's children. He will not deprive them of their inheritance or give them a bad name that they will be ashamed of. I pray that you will not open the door for the enemy to torment, afflict, or capture your descendants, in Jesus' name. Every family that is battling one ancestral problem or another was exposed to it by someone in their lineage; do not be such a person. If you have done things that you are not proud of, and you know that those things can affect your children and their descendants, run to God for mercy today. Ask Him to cleanse you with His blood and rewrite your family's story. No matter how old you are, as long as you are alive, there is still hope of leaving a good legacy for your descendants. THE GOD WHO WALKS IN HISTORY Thesis: The God who reveals Himself in Scripture also reveals Himself in the soil, stones, and civilizations of history. Faith is not blind; it is anchored in time, space, culture, and material reality. SECTION 1 THE GOD WHO STEPS INTO HISTORY Texts: Luke 1:1–4; John 1:14; 2 Peter 1:16 Doctrines: Incarnation, Revelation Luke writes with the meticulous care of a historian, John speaks as a firsthand witness, and Peter writes as a man who saw Christ's glory and majesty with his own eyes. Christianity is not built on myth, speculative theories, or symbolic folklore; it is firmly anchored in concrete moments, specific places, real people, and verifiable historical events. Biblical faith is rooted in time, space, culture, and material reality. Archaeology amplifies and illuminates this truth. While archaeology cannot create faith or prove divine inspiration, it bridges faith and historical inquiry by excavating, deciphering, and evaluating ancient material records. It demonstrates that biblical narratives are historically reliable, connecting sacred Scripture to the real world of ancient civilizations and providing material evidence that grounds divine revelation. Il leur est toutefois interdit de regarder en arrière. La femme de Loth brave cet interdit, regarde en arrière et est automatiquement transformée en statut de sel. Appelée à une vie de grâce loin du péché et de la débauche de Sodome, son coeur y était encore attaché et le salut n'a pas été son partage. REGARDER EN ARRIÈRE entrave la protection de l'Éternel et fait rater l'accomplissement de ses promesses. 3️⃣ Les Israélites à Guilgal, Lorsque les Israélites sont entrés à Canaan, la terre de promesse, ils ont établis leur camp à Guilgal. De Guilgal, ils lançaient les attaques pour conquérir tout le pays de Canaan. Mais alors que les tribus ont commencé à s'installer sur les terres promises, certaines tribus sont restées sous des tentes à Guilgal. Elles ne sont pas allés au bout de la promesse du Seigneur qui avait déjà attribué les territoires de chacunes des tribus. Ils avaient donc une victoire, une promesse à moitié.
