  • GOD GAVE YOU THE GIFT… BUT WILL YOU USE IT TO BUILD OR DESTROY?

God has placed something valuable inside you—your gifts, creativity, wisdom and abilities.

Don't allow envy to turn your gift into destruction. Ask God for wisdom and use what He has given you to build, bless, serve and bring positive change to others.

James 1:5: If you lack wisdom, ask God.

    Your gift has a purpose.
    Your creativity has a purpose.
    Your life has a purpose.

Use what God gave you for His glory.

If this message blessed you, share it with someone who needs this encouragement.

God knew you before that day.
“I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
    Isaiah 43:1
    That's worth remembering.

  • THE WORLD CHANGED WHILE YOU WERE GROWING
Think about everything that changed during your lifetime.
    Technology.
    Communication.
    Transportation.
    Culture.
    Families.
    Churches.
    The way people work.
    The way people communicate.
    Yet God's Word remains.
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
    Matthew 24:35
Your birth year gives you a starting point in history.
But Scripture gives you something that history cannot:
    an eternal foundation.

  • WHAT IF GOD IS ASKING YOU TO GO BACK?

Not because you're a terrible person.

Not because everything is your fault.

But because there may be something you need to make right.

    Jesus said:

«“If you remember that your brother has something against you… first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”
    — Matthew 5:23–24»

    Imagine that.

    You're worshipping.

    You're praying.

You're bringing your gift to God.

    And suddenly, you remember something.

    A harsh word.

    An unfair action.

    A person you hurt.

An apology you refused to give.

A relationship you have allowed to remain broken.

    And Jesus says:

    “Go.”

    That's uncomfortable.

Because sometimes we'd rather keep worshipping than deal with what God has brought to our attention.

    We may say:

    “I've already prayed about it.”

    “They should get over it.”

    “It wasn't that serious.”

    “I still attend church.”

But what if the Holy Spirit is saying:

    “Go and make it right.”

Now, there is an important balance.

Jesus isn't asking you to become obsessed with wondering whether everyone is angry with you.

You don't have to live thinking:

    “Maybe everybody hates me.”

    “Maybe everything is my fault.”

    “Maybe I'm a terrible person.”

That's not the freedom of the gospel.

    Romans 8:1 says:

«“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”»

The Holy Spirit brings specific conviction.

And conviction has somewhere to take you:

    repentance.

    restoration.

    obedience.

So if God puts His finger on something specific, don't immediately defend yourself.

    Don't say:

    “That's just my personality.”

    “Everybody does it.”

    “They deserved it.”

    Instead:

“Lord, what are You showing me?”

    Maybe you need to say:

“I was wrong. Please forgive me.”

    Not:

    “I'm sorry you felt offended.”

    Not:

    “I'm sorry, but you also…”

    Not:

    “If I did anything wrong…”

Sometimes our apologies are just arguments wearing polite clothes.

    Real repentance takes responsibility.

And yes, sometimes reconciliation may be difficult.

You can apologise without controlling whether someone forgives you.

You can pursue peace without forcing closeness.

You can forgive someone while still maintaining healthy boundaries.

You can acknowledge what you did wrong without accepting blame for something you didn't do.

    Romans 12:18 says:

«“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”»

“As much as depends on you.”

    That's important.

You are responsible for your obedience.

You are not responsible for controlling another person's heart.

And sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do isn't another public act of service.

    Maybe it's the private apology.

Maybe it's returning what you took.

    Maybe it's correcting a lie.

    Maybe it's forgiving someone.

    Maybe it's admitting:

    “I was wrong.”

Because it is possible to be very active in church while avoiding very simple obedience.

    We can sing.

    We can preach.

    We can pray.

    We can give.

    We can serve.

And still refuse to deal with someone we have hurt.

But Jesus wants more than religious activity.

    He wants our hearts.

So perhaps the question today isn't:

    “Who is to blame?”

    Maybe ask:

“Lord, what is MY responsibility here?”

    That question can change everything.

    At home.

    At work.

    In friendship.

    In marriage.

    In church.

    In leadership.

    With our children.

With the people closest to us.

A mature Christian isn't someone who never makes mistakes.

A mature Christian is someone who is willing to repent when God reveals a mistake.

So if the Holy Spirit reminds you of something today, don't run from it.

    Don't hide behind your ministry.

Don't use worship to escape obedience.

    If you were wrong, go.

If you need to apologise, apologise.

If you need to make something right, make it right.

If reconciliation is possible, pursue it.

And if the other person refuses peace, entrust the matter to God and continue walking in truth and love.

Maybe your prayer today can simply be:

“Jesus, search my heart. Show me what I need to make right. Give me humility to admit when I'm wrong, courage to apologise, grace to forgive, wisdom to maintain healthy boundaries, and a heart that is quick to obey You. I don't want to hide behind religion. I want to walk with You. Amen.”

Is there something Jesus may be saying to you today: “Go”?

You don't have to tell us what it is.

    Just don't ignore Him.
