• Good evening to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Today was nothing like I had imagined it would be. Mind you, we did not really have any ‘plans’ for today with the exception of taking the dog to the vet and me helping my brother on the computer. The rest of the day really was not accounted for. HOWEVER … leave it to us to figure out a way to fill out a day without even trying.

Started with hubs getting sick last night and I ended up taking the dog to the vet. Missed my turn and had to turn around on a busy highway. On the way home, I was not really in a hurry, just driving and when I pulled up to the house, there was a random car in my driveway… no clue who or why … except it was my brother … right on time. Brain fart 101. Totally forgot he was coming, even though my stepson and I had just discussed it.

Get inside to help my brother in a computer/tech assistant nightmare for his new job. 2.5 hours later, we think we figured it out. In the middle of that, we get a notice that hubs needs blood work before his appointment tomorrow…we forgot. No worries, plan to go to the new park on the west side, drop kids off, go to get blood work, pick up lunch, have a picnic in the park, then go home after playing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. What a funny plan. Dropped kids off, no problem. Get to the lab; they were closed. Then they opened the doors, only to tell us that they were still closed. Stopped and got lunch for the kids, drove to the lab’s second office. Get to that lab only to be told, sorry can’t help you; go to the hospital. By now, hubs is starving … haha … go get a sandwich, then the hospital; he gets labs, and I get a cold sandwich. While at the hospital, get notified that the dog is ready to be picked up … the vet is in the opposite direction of the park, and then meds need to be picked up also; fortunately meds and vet are in the same town. By now it is going on 3 p.m.; no time to go back and play at the park. A completely full day…but wait…I am not done yet; we get home and because it is supposed to rain tomorrow…take advantage of the good day and mow. Finish mowing at 9 pm. All of this because I did not make plans. Haha.

But … with all that chaos and nonsense that went along with the chaos, there were plenty of laughs, a few arguments, some severe rolling of the eyes and lots of blessings. Even with the chaos, things got done respectfully; kids got to go to their favorite park and have McDonald's, the dog is now talon-free and clean and we got notified that our appointment was moved up by half an hour. All positives.

Just because something does not roll down the hill the way that you think it will or should, does not make it bad or a negative. There were plenty of negative aspects to today, but not one of them overshadowed a millimeter of the positives. Each day we have a choice to make: see the positive or see the negative. If you see the positive, it is a great day; if you see the negative, you have a choice … focus on the negative or look for a positive in or from the negative. If you focus on the negative, you will have a bad day; however, if you look for a positive within the negative or because of the negative, you will have a good day.

As you prepare for bed tonight, I urge you to look back on your day and see what kind of day you think you had. Look at each component and how many negatives come to mind first…then how many positives? If you are seeing the negatives over the positives, try realigning your sights so that the positives come to mind first. It makes for a much more peaceful mindset. I will confess that it takes some time and practice, but it can be done.

    Be blessed and good night.

**You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. – Matthew 5:14-15

  • When there is a diagnosis of a physical dysfunction of the heart, we get perturbed and will do all we can to set it right.

However, the spiritual condition of our heart is known to God alone. As the Lord searches the deep desires of our heart and perceives the thoughts of our mind, He finds it deceitful and desperately wicked.

The good news is that Jesus can give us a new heart if we are willing to believe on Him, repent and confess our sins. When we do so, the Holy Spirit takes control of our lives so that there is a genuine transformation from deep within our hearts.

Have a wonderful day, and may the Lord change our hearts so they will beat as one with His.

  • Your Identity Is in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)

    Who are you?

It sounds like a simple question.

But for many people, the answer is shaped by what they have achieved, what others think about them, where they come from, how much money they have, how many followers they have, or even the mistakes they have made.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to build an identity around something.

    Your career.

    Your appearance.

    Your relationship status.

    Your education.

    Your possessions.

    Your popularity.

    Your success.

But all of these things can change.

So what happens when you lose the job?

    When the relationship ends?

    When the opportunity disappears?

    When people stop applauding?

    When you fail?

If your identity is built entirely on those things, your sense of worth can collapse with them.

But God offers you something deeper.

    The Bible says:

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

When you place your faith in Jesus, your past no longer has the final word about who you are.

You are not simply your mistakes.

    You are not your failures.

You are not the rejection you experienced.

You are not what someone said about you.

You are not your worst day.

In Christ, you are made new.

This doesn't mean your past never happened.

It means your past doesn't have to control your future.

    Jesus offers forgiveness.

    He offers restoration.

    He offers a new identity.

And He gives you a new reason to live.

Maybe you've been comparing yourself to other people.

    Someone seems more successful.

    Someone looks happier.

    Someone has more opportunities.

    Someone has a bigger platform.

But comparison can make you forget something important:

God did not create you to become someone else.

You don't have to copy another person's journey to have value.

You don't need everyone's approval to be significant.

    Your worth comes from God.

And when you understand that, you can stop living desperately for people's applause.

You can celebrate other people's success without feeling threatened.

You can accept correction without believing you are worthless.

You can experience failure without believing your life is over.

You can walk away from unhealthy relationships without believing you have lost your identity.

And you can pursue your dreams without making those dreams your god.

Your career is part of your life.

Your education is part of your life.

Your relationships are part of your life.

Your achievements are part of your story.

But none of them should become your identity.

    Jesus should.

If you belong to Christ, your identity begins with Him.

You are someone who has been offered grace.

    Someone who can receive forgiveness.

    Someone who can grow.

    Someone who can serve.

    Someone who can love.

    Someone who can start again.

Someone whose life can be used by God.

And if you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, you can begin today.

You don't have to clean yourself up first.

    Come to Him honestly.

    Confess your sins.

    Trust Him.

    Receive His grace.

    And begin walking with Him.

The world may label you by your past.

Jesus sees what His grace can make you become.

    So stop asking only:

“What do people think about me?”

    Start asking:

“Who does God say I am?”

Let His Word answer that question.

And let your identity in Christ become stronger than every label the world puts on you.

You are more than your achievements, more than your failures, and more than people's opinions. In Christ, you can become a new creation.

What label or past experience do you need to stop allowing to define you?

  • Acts 24:

"1 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
2 And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
3 We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
4 Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
8 Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
9 And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
10 Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
11 Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
18 Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
20 Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound."

  • Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 17 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.

God drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness. (Job 26:10)

    The earth – ingeniously protected
Water is essential for life as we know it. Water can be found everywhere on earth. Clouds carry it there, sometimes it rains or snows, other times fog carries it; even in deserts, dew falls.
On earth, there are 1.4 billion cubic kilometres of water in an endless cycle. Only 0.0001 percent of it exists as water vapour in the atmosphere. To ensure that none of this precious resource is lost, there is a kind of built-in vapour barrier above us. When water evaporates and rises, it freezes into ice crystals. These crystals then fall back down due to gravity.
This process prevents water from evaporating into space, and thus maintains a temperate planet, suited to the continuation of life.
Additionally, we have our atmosphere. If there were neither an earth atmosphere nor an earth magnetosphere, we would be constantly exposed to x-rays, bombarded by solar wind, and hit by meteorites. Life would be exterminated, and the planet earth uninhabitable. However, as it is, the earth travels through the solar system at supersonic speed, protected by the ozone layer and the atmosphere.
I must confess, I lack the belief that all of this could have happened randomly and gradually formed, so perfectly and beautifully. No – God “drew a circular horizon” and formed the atmosphere and the horizon on earth. And into the universe, He placed lights “for signs and seasons, and for days and years”.
With David, I say, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork” (Genesis 1:14; Psalm 19:1).

    Today’s reading: Joshua 17:1-18 – 1 Corinthians 14:1-12

  • Having Done All, Stand

Standing is an act of aggressive faith. In military terms, standing your ground when the enemy presses is not passivity; it is the most demanding form of courage. The soldier who stands while others flee has decided that the position is worth holding at all costs. As a believer, your position (in Christ, under covenant, within God's purposes) is always worth holding.

"Having done all" implies there are things to do, and they should be done thoroughly and completely. You are not called to passivity in the name of faith. Do what faith demands: pray, confess, obey, sow, serve, intercede. Then, when you have done all of that completely, the final act is to stand and remain in position until the breakthrough arrives at God's appointed time.

    PRAYER:
Gracious Heavenly Father, show me everything You require of me in this season. I will do it faithfully and completely. When I have done all, let me stand, unmoved and undefeated, in position for Your breakthrough. In Jesus' name! Hallelujah! Amen!

    “WHO GOD SAYS I AM”
    I AM NOT CONDEMNED
    Romans 8:1 (LLV) —
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
    Sometimes
    we are better
    at remembering
    our failures
    than remembering
    God's grace.
    We confess
    our sin.
    We ask
    for forgiveness.
    We believe
    Christ paid
    the price.
    And yet,
    somewhere
    inside,
    we continue
    to pronounce
    ourselves
    guilty.
    We replay
    the moment.
    We hear
    the accusation.
    We wonder
    how God
    could possibly
    look at us
    the same way
    again.
    Then Paul
    gives us
    one of Scripture's
    great declarations
    of freedom:
    “There is
    now
    no condemnation.”
    Not less
    condemnation.
    Not condemnation
    held back
    until our next
    failure.
    No
    condemnation.
    Why?
    Not because
    we have
    no sin.
    Not because
    our failures
    do not matter.
    But because
    we are
    “in Christ Jesus.”
    Jesus
    has already
    stood
    in our place.
    The judgment
    our sin deserved
    fell upon Him.
    The price
    has been paid.
    Yesterday,
    we called it
    redemption.
    Today,
    we discover
    what redemption
    means
    for the redeemed.
    We are
    free
    from condemnation.
    There is
    an important difference
    between conviction
    and condemnation.
    The Holy Spirit
    convicts us
    when we sin.
    Conviction says,
    “This is wrong.
    Come back
    to God.”
    Condemnation says,
    “You are wrong.
    There is no way
    back.”
    One leads us
    toward
    our Father.
    The other
    drives us
    away from Him.
    God corrects
    His children,
    but He does not
    cast away
    those who belong
    to Christ.
    So when
    an old failure
    returns
    to accuse us,
    we do not
    have to argue
    our innocence.
    We simply
    remember
    where we stand.
    In Christ.
    Forgiven.
    Redeemed.
    No longer
    condemned.
A new beginning does not deny yesterday's sin; it trusts what Christ has done with it:
there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus.
Reflection: Am I still condemning myself for something God has already forgiven, instead of accepting the freedom Christ purchased for me?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that my standing before You rests upon Christ and not upon my own perfection. When memories of past failures accuse me, remind me of what You have declared: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Convict me when I wander, correct me when I need it, but help me never confuse Your loving correction with condemnation. Teach me to walk in the freedom Christ purchased for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
August 16 🌿 “WHO GOD SAYS I AM” I AM NOT CONDEMNED 📖 Romans 8:1 (LLV) — “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Sometimes we are better at remembering our failures than remembering God's grace. We confess our sin. We ask for forgiveness. We believe Christ paid the price. And yet, somewhere inside, we continue to pronounce ourselves guilty. We replay the moment. We hear the accusation. We wonder how God could possibly look at us the same way again. Then Paul gives us one of Scripture's great declarations of freedom: “There is now no condemnation.” Not less condemnation. Not condemnation held back until our next failure. No condemnation. Why? Not because we have no sin. Not because our failures do not matter. But because we are “in Christ Jesus.” Jesus has already stood in our place. The judgment our sin deserved fell upon Him. The price has been paid. Yesterday, we called it redemption. Today, we discover what redemption means for the redeemed. We are free from condemnation. There is an important difference between conviction and condemnation. The Holy Spirit convicts us when we sin. Conviction says, “This is wrong. Come back to God.” Condemnation says, “You are wrong. There is no way back.” One leads us toward our Father. The other drives us away from Him. God corrects His children, but He does not cast away those who belong to Christ. So when an old failure returns to accuse us, we do not have to argue our innocence. We simply remember where we stand. In Christ. Forgiven. Redeemed. No longer condemned. A new beginning does not deny yesterday's sin; it trusts what Christ has done with it: there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus.

A DEEP PRAYER OF SALVATION, REDEMPTION & SURRENDER

    Lord Jesus Christ,

I come before You just as I am.

I confess that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I need You.

I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, that You were buried, and that You rose again from the dead.

Jesus, I ask You to forgive me.

    Wash me clean.

    Redeem me.

    Restore me.

Break the chains of sin that have held me captive.

    Take control of my life.

I surrender my heart, my mind, my body, my past, my present, and my future to You.

    I surrender my pride.

    I surrender my fears.

    I surrender my addictions.

    I surrender my bitterness.

    I surrender my unforgiveness.

I surrender everything I have been trying to control.

Jesus, be Lord of my life.

Give me a new heart and a renewed mind.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

Teach me to love what You love and turn away from what separates me from You.

When I fall, help me get back up.

When I am weak, strengthen me.

When I am tempted, give me a way of escape.

When I am afraid, remind me that You are with me.

When I doubt, strengthen my faith.

When I wander, bring me back.

I don't want merely to know about You.

    I want to know You.

    I don't want a religion without relationship.

    I want Jesus.

I surrender my eternity into Your hands.

    Thank You for the cross.

    Thank You for Your blood.

    Thank You for Your mercy.

    Thank You for Your grace.

    Thank You for the resurrection.

Thank You for loving me when I did not deserve it.

From this moment forward, help me live for You.

Jesus Christ, I belong to You.

    Amen.

    THE CLOCK IS TICKING.

Don't postpone getting right with God.

You don't know what tomorrow holds.

But you can choose Jesus today.

JESUS IS THE ROAD TO LIFE.

    JESUS IS THE SAVIOR.

    JESUS IS THE HOPE.

    JESUS IS LORD.

Choose Him while you still have today.
