• READ WITH ME – DAY 6

Topic: The First Principle: Learning God's Word

    Key Verse:
"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby."
    — 1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)

    Today's Reflection

The day you gave your life to Christ was not the end of your journey—it was only the beginning. Just as a newborn baby cannot grow without milk, a believer cannot grow spiritually without feeding on God's Word.

Many Christians desire to become stronger in faith, overcome temptation, and live lives that please God. These are wonderful goals, but they all begin with one essential principle: learning God's Word.

The Bible teaches us God's character, corrects our mistakes, shapes our lives, and guides us in righteousness. Spiritual growth comes as we consistently read, study, meditate on, and obey God's Word.

A believer who neglects God's Word will struggle to grow, but one who delights in the Scriptures will become spiritually strong, wise, and fruitful.

Never lose your appetite for God's Word. It is your daily spiritual food and the foundation upon which every other aspect of your Christian life is built.

    Today's Takeaway:
Your spiritual growth begins with your hunger for God's Word. Feed on it daily, and you will grow into the person God has called you to be.

    Prayer:
Lord, give me a deep hunger for Your Word. Help me to study it faithfully, understand it clearly, and obey it wholeheartedly. Let Your Word shape my life and help me grow into spiritual maturity. Amen.

  • #Day6 Living Under the Government of the Holy Spirit

PETER: THE UNSTABLE ONE BECOMES A PILLAR

    Acts 2:14
"Then Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them, saying..."

The Holy Spirit transforms human weaknesses into instruments for the glory of God.

Just a few weeks earlier, Peter denied Jesus in front of a servant girl. The same man who was afraid of men now proclaims Christ before the crowds.

No weakness is too great for the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Acknowledge your weakness and lay it at the Lord's feet. The Holy Spirit will transform it into a useful ability for God.

May the Holy Spirit transform our frailties, our fears, and our inabilities into testimonies of grace so that we may become true witnesses of Jesus in the world.

  • #Day6 Series on the Coming Down of the Holy Spirit

    OVERFLOWING FOR FULLNESS

"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit..."
    — Acts 2:4

The journey of the 120 continues. This time, they reach a significant milestone: fullness. The wind and fire are followed by this overflowing, which seals what God is doing.

“Filled” in Greek means “saturated, overflowing.” The disciples in the upper room were saturated by the full presence of the Holy Spirit; they were filled with the Spirit, and it was remarkable.

God doesn’t fill halfway. God fills everything and occupies everything. He filled the disciples completely, to overflowing. The One who filled them was leading them. In the same way, what fills you is what leads you. If the Spirit doesn’t fill you, something else will.

Let yourself be filled by the Holy Spirit. Welcome the presence of the Spirit and let it overflow within you. The Holy Spirit wants to fill you. Let your prayer be: “Oh Holy Spirit, fill me and let me overflow with your presence.”

  • #Day6 Kingdom Series

THE PARABLE OF THE HIDDEN TREASURE
When Everything Changes Because You've Found the Essential

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”

    — Matthew 13:44 (ESV)

In first-century Palestine, burying treasures in the ground was a common practice to protect them from invasion and plunder. A man working in a field that didn't belong to him could legitimately make such a discovery. Here, it is the man's reaction that is striking, his immediate joy, and the complete decision that follows.

Many believers experience the Kingdom as a costly constraint: what they must give up, what they must renounce, what they can no longer do.

When we truly realize what we have found, the question of price changes. Paul, who experienced imprisonment, beatings, and persecution, writes that he considers all of this a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord (Philippians 3:8).

The problem isn't that the Kingdom is too expensive. It's often that it's undervalued. Have you allowed the joy of discovering Jesus to fade until only discipline without passion remains?
Ask yourself: Have I truly realized what I have found? Take the time to reconsider the value of what you possess in Christ. He is a priceless treasure.

O Lord, rekindle in me the joy of having found you. May I not experience my relationship with you as an obligation, but as a treasure. Remind me of what you have given me: your presence, your grace, your purpose. And may this reality be greater in my eyes than anything you ask me to renounce. Amen.
