• READ WITH ME – DAY 10

Topic: Forgive as You Have Been Forgiven

    Key Verse:
"Be kind and tender to one another. Forgive one another, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done."
    — Ephesians 4:32 (NIrV)

    Today's Reflection

Forgiveness is one of the greatest expressions of God's love. It may not always be easy, but it is always the right thing to do.

Think about how much God has forgiven you. When you came to Him in repentance, He did not hold your sins against you. Instead, He showed you mercy, gave you a new beginning, and welcomed you into His family.

Because God has forgiven us so completely, He calls us to forgive those who hurt us. Forgiveness does not mean pretending the pain never happened or immediately restoring broken trust. It means choosing to let go of bitterness, resentment, and the desire for revenge, placing the matter into God's hands.

Holding on to unforgiveness only weighs us down and hinders our spiritual growth. But when we forgive, we experience the peace, freedom, and healing that God desires for us.

If someone has hurt you deeply, ask God for the grace to forgive today. Remember, forgiving others does not excuse their wrong; it reflects the mercy God has shown to you.

    Today's Takeaway:
People who truly understand God's forgiveness become willing to forgive others.

    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving me through Jesus Christ. Help me to let go of bitterness and give me the grace to forgive those who have hurt me. Fill my heart with Your love and peace so that I may reflect Your mercy to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • Forgive as Christ Forgave You (Ephesians 4:32)

Has someone ever hurt you so deeply that you felt like you could never forgive them?

    Maybe they lied to you.

    Betrayed your trust.

    Spoke harsh words.

Or disappointed you when you needed them most.

    Forgiveness is not easy.

But it is one of the clearest ways we reflect the heart of Christ.

    The Bible says:

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Think about how much God has forgiven you.

    Every sin.

    Every mistake.

    Every moment you fell short.

Through Jesus, God offered mercy instead of condemnation.

If we have received such incredible grace, we are called to extend that same grace to others.

Forgiveness does not mean pretending the hurt never happened.

It does not mean that what was done was acceptable.

It means choosing to release the desire for revenge and trusting God with justice.

Unforgiveness keeps us trapped in bitterness.

    Forgiveness sets our hearts free.

When you forgive, you don't just bless the other person.

You experience the peace that comes from walking in obedience to God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive where it feels impossible.

Pray for those who have hurt you.

    Choose kindness over resentment.

    Choose healing over bitterness.

    Choose love over hatred.

Jesus forgave those who crucified Him.

Through His example, we learn that forgiveness is possible—even when it is difficult.

    Today, ask yourself:

Is there someone I need to forgive so I can experience God's peace more fully?

    Take the first step today.

Let God's grace flow through your heart to someone else.

Forgive as you have been forgiven.

  • Kindness – The Fruit That Reflects God’s Nature

Ephesians 4:32 – “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Kindness is one of the most powerful expressions of love. It is not weakness, but strength under control.

In a world filled with hatred, selfishness, and cruelty, kindness is the light that reflects the heart of God.

Every true believer is called to live a life marked by kindness, because it is part of the fruit of the Spirit.

    1. GOD IS KIND

Psalm 145:17 – “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.”

God’s nature is filled with mercy and compassion. Even when man fell, He showed kindness by providing a way for redemption through Jesus Christ.

His kindness is everlasting — it never runs out. Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us that His compassions are new every morning.

    2. KINDNESS IS A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5:22–23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith...”

The word gentleness here can also be translated as kindness.
When the Holy Spirit dwells in you, kindness flows naturally.

It is not something you pretend to have; it is something that grows within you through the Spirit of God.

    3. KINDNESS IS LOVE IN ACTION

1 Corinthians 13:4 – “Charity suffereth long, and is kind...”

Kindness is love at work. It is the way we treat people when no one is watching.

It is helping the poor, forgiving the offender, comforting the brokenhearted, and showing compassion to those who don’t deserve it.

Jesus demonstrated kindness everywhere He went—He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and forgave sinners.

    4. KINDNESS HAS POWER TO CHANGE HEARTS

A simple act of kindness can turn an enemy into a friend.

Proverbs 25:21–22 – “If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink.”

Your kindness can melt hardened hearts and open doors for the gospel. Many people are drawn to Christ not by preaching alone, but by the kindness of believers.

    5. THE REWARD OF KINDNESS

Matthew 5:7 – “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”

God never forgets your acts of kindness.

Even a cup of cold water given in His name has a reward.

Hebrews 6:10 – “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.”

Be kind to others, and God will cause others to be kind to you.

    6. PRACTICAL WAYS TO SHOW KINDNESS

    * Speak gently, even when others are rude.

    * Share your resources with the needy.

    * Forgive quickly.

    * Encourage those who are weak in faith.

    * Offer help without expecting anything in return.

Kindness is the beauty of a believer. It is the mirror that reflects the love of Christ in us.

When you choose kindness, you choose to live like Jesus. Let your words, actions, and attitude reveal that you belong to a kind and loving God.

    PRAY THIS PRAYER

    - Lord, fill me with the Spirit of kindness.

    - Help me to forgive and show compassion like You.

    - Let my life reflect Your love to everyone I meet.

    - Father, make me a vessel of peace and mercy.

    - Help me to sow seeds of kindness daily and reap heavenly rewards.

Micah 6:8 – “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
