Devotion: 2 Corinthians 10:3-7 “It is true that we live in the world, but we do not fight from worldly motives. The weapons we use in our fight are not the world’s weapons but God’s powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds. We destroy false arguments; we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.” When you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you win an entire army of angels that will help you in your spiritual battle. Every Christian, whether they recognize it for what it is or not, fights a spiritual battle against forces unseen. The Devil prowls around and seeks those who may falter in faith, those who are new in faith, those who are vulnerable and he brings them even further down. Have you ever wondered why, when things go wrong in your life, EVERYTHING seems to follow suit? That, right there, is the old evil one in action. He wants to attack you from every side so that you can become desperate and sink into the mire from which he rose. He wants you to question the power of God, doubt in your faith and forget your first love, Jesus Christ. Fortunately, if you stand firm in faith, you can fight him on his own grounds with spiritual weapons. These are not swords of justice or guns; these are psychological means of battle. As I mentioned, once you’ve been saved you have an entire army of angels and, yes, God Himself, who will fight by your side. You are NOT alone in battle and you shall NOT fail. Jude 1:3: “…I felt the need of writing at once to encourage you to fight on for the faith which once and for all God has given to his people.” Remember also that the Devil can use other people to forge a battle against you. That disagreement with your boss, the unjust treatment you received from your colleagues, the fight you had with your family or friend; these are all means by which Satan can wriggle his sly way into your life, trying to bring down your defences. 1 Samuel 17:45: “David answered, ‘You are coming against me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD" #2Corinthians10 #Faith #SpiritualWarfare #Godsprotection

📘 Daily Devotion — September 2 | Acts 23:24 (NKJV) 💯 God Makes a Way of Escape Paul was in a dangerous situation. A group of men had formed a plot against him and were determined to kill him. Yet God was already working behind the scenes to protect His servant. The Roman commander ordered that Paul be taken safely to Felix the governor. Paul did not have control over everything happening around him, but God used circumstances and people in authority to provide a way for him to continue his journey. This passage reminds us that God is able to protect us in ways we may not expect. Sometimes His protection comes through people, circumstances, opportunities, or doors that He opens at exactly the right time. Paul's life teaches us that being faithful to God does not mean we will never face danger or difficulty. It means that our lives remain in God's hands. When He has given us a purpose, He is able to make a way for us to continue fulfilling it. There may be situations in our lives where we cannot see a solution. We may feel surrounded by problems or uncertain about what will happen next. But God sees what we cannot see. We can trust Him to guide our steps and provide what is necessary in His perfect timing. Rather than allowing fear to control us, we can place our confidence in the God who is able to make a way where there seems to be none. Our responsibility is to remain faithful and trust Him with the outcome. Reflection Questions 1. What situation am I facing that requires me to trust God for protection or direction 2. Do I believe that God can make a way even when I cannot see one 3. How can I respond to uncertainty with greater faith and confidence in God Prayer Lord God, thank You for watching over me and making a way even when I cannot see it.
